Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolors *Review*

I am probably the last person on the face of the earth to pick up this product, but after walking past them in beauty isles for months I just couldn’t ignore them any longer. Are these colors not perfect for this time of year!?Selection:

In all there are 8 available colors, at Ulta anyway. I picked up the 5 that seemed the most different than anything else I own. These are all matte, so there is no variation in finish.

Scent, packaging, application, etc…:

This product does have a really strong scent of fake pastries. So strong that it lingered on my lips for a few minuets after application, in fact it sort of left a taste in my mouth. As for the packaging is pretty sleek and I really like it. I wish all packaging was this sleek. Where the product is help it is frosted plastic, which the color of the product helpfully shows through. The wand is attached to a device that I found  to be much easier to hold than other similar devices. The applicator isn’t the normal doe foot. It seems to have a slight hour glass shape to it. At first I thought I wouldn’t like this, but it turned out to be very helpful when trying to precisely place the product.

Swatches:

From top to bottom: Seduction, Flirt, Temptation, Love, Addiction

I know in the swatch they look pretty glossy, but on the lips they do dry down to a matte finish. However, they do take a good 10 almost 15 minuets to dry, so please be aware of that.

On the Lips:

Over all:

Do I like this liquid lipstick? Yes. Would I pick up more shades? No. Colour Pop has much better matte liquid lipsticks, for about $4 cheaper. If you see a shade of this that you are in love with, I would say go for it. But, it isn’t something you should be running to the store to pick up.

Shop the post here.

Have you tried this product? What are you favorite liquid lipsticks? What shades should I pick up? Let me know!
