While browsing through Allure’s page I came across a post of more spring trends for 2016. I thought this look was beautiful, simple, and could be done very fast. So, I tried my hand at it!
I did do a bit more in the area of bronzing and highlighting than what was done on the models, but I feel naked with out being glowy. It’s spring you are supposed to be glowy right? But, if you wanted to do it with out the extra face products, this look would be a very fast and easy thing to do when trying to get ready in a rush!
How I did it:
After moisturizing, I primed my face with the L’oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer. As I said before, I like to be glowy and this primer definitely does the trick. I then used my go to foundation as of late, the L’oreal True Match Lumi foundation. I then used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind under my eyes to conceal my crazy dark circles. I decided to use a concealer today that I honestly forgot I had. It had been pushed to the very back of my concealer/foundation drawer. I am talking about the L’oreal Lift CC Eye Concealer. The reason I did not use this under my eyes is because it was just a bit too dark for me to do that. I used the Hard Candy Highlight and Contour Face Duo Stick todo a cream contour and highlight. I then set my face with Rimmel’s Stay Matte Powder. I had almost for got to set my face, so I grabbed the powder out of my “everyday tray” and it just happened to be one of my favorites!
I used my favorite bronzer today, the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. For my blush I used Wet n’ Wild Rose Champagne. I am going to be using it a lot this spring and summer season. I went in with an old favorite highlighter, which is actually a bronzer, the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips in Vegas Strip.
The eyes for this look were extremely easy! Instead of using a primer I just used my concealer on my lids to cancel out any darkness, then set it with a cream colored shadow. I used the shade “Bare” in the Lorac Pro Matte Palette.
You can use any close to your skin tone shade you like, I have just been wanting to get more use out of this palette. I bought it not too long before the Kat Von D shade and Light Eye palette came out and it has been my go to.
That is it for the lids! Crazy easy right? The lashes are clumpy and slightly spidery. The article with the picture says it is a throw back to the 60’s #Twiggy and I love that! To get my lashes to play the part I decided to use the Maybelline Colossal Chaotic Lash Volume Express Mascara. At first my lashes were not wanting to turn into spider legs, so I used the tip of the wand to make it happen.
Besides the lashes, the main focus of this look is the lips. The goal was to find a lip color that is a “dusty mauve”. I decided to go with the E.L.F Matte Lip Color in “Tea Rose”.
I wasn’t really feeling the matte look, so I took a clear gloss and popped it in the center of my lips!
That’s it! Super simple!
I really hope you enjoyed this look! What other looks should I do? Have you tried these products? Do you have products you prefer more than the ones used? Let’s talk about it!!
