Sephora Favorites Bronze Bares All *Review*

I absolutely love getting the Sephora Favorites sets. Most of the time they are a fantastic value. Yes, the items are usually in smaller than fuller sized, but when you are someone with a ton of makeup like I am, It is a bit difficult to go through products. Let’s get into the review of the items, to decide if this set is worth the $40 that it costs. It claims to be a $115 value, just to add a little perspective to this review.

Vita Liberata Ltd pHenomenal 2-3 week tinted tan mousse in “Medium”sf2

This is the one product from the kit that I have not tried. I want to get through the tanning product I am using before I break open a new one,  but I am very excited to try this product. I have heard some great things.

Formula X The Colors Nail Polish “Revved up in rose gold metallic”

sf3

If you read my December 2015 Ipsy review you would know I have tired this polish before, and I really did not like it. That one I gave to my 8 year old sister, this one I am going to give to my 7 year old niece. It isn’t a hard shade to find anymore, and quite honestly it takes a lot to built this one up.

Becca Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfecter in “opal”

This is a product I already own and LOVE. I had a very small sample size in not sturdy packaging, I actually passed that one along to my mother who really wanted to try it. I love this highlight and really want to get more Becca products.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss “Trail Blazer”

This product smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream, which is my favorite! I am a girl who enjoys lip gloss, and this is a very nice one for the spring/summer. I have moved it up to my everyday makeup tray because I have been reaching for it so much lately!

Nars Bronzer “Laguna”

This is a cult classic and there is a good reason why! It is beautiful and works very well with my skin tone, which is very fair. I have also been using it as a crease shade on my eyes. As soon as I get through this sample, I am buying the full size!

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color “Copper”

I had never even heard of this product before receiving it in this set, but my goodness is it beautiful! I really want to purchase some more. It is the longest wearing cream eye shadow in this format, that I have ever used!

Smash box Always Sharp Eye Liner “Penny Lane”

The shade is pretty, and I like the idea of it always being sharp. But, I can not for the life of me figure out how to twist it up! I used it once for a look you are about to see and haven’t used it since, because of that! Someone help me!?

Tarte Lip Stick “Park Avenue Princess”

The packaging is cute and I like the product. I just really do not see myself buying the fullsize once I finish this one. There isn’t enough pigmentation and it isn’t any more moisturizing than the tons of tinted lip products I already own. And they are much cheaper.

The Look

sf10

I used all of the products in this kit for their intended use and I really love the look I came up with. It is bronzy and perfect for summer just like the kit suggests. I highly recommend picking it up, as it is well worth the $40 price tag. I will continue to purchase these types of kits! Yes, I have ordered the mascara one and it is on its way!

Have you tried these products? What are your favorite bronze products? Have you tried the Sephora Favorites kits before? Let’s talk!!

  1. Thank you for this review and the swatches! This has been sitting in my shopping cart since it came out and I think I need it now after reading your reviews! Seems like a great value even if there are a couple duds

  2. Great post! I love the look you did with it. =) Summer is all about the bronze. Not sure about that smashbox pencil… maybe when I go to ULTA I’ll look at it and see if I can figure it out if you haven’t, lmao! The eye pencil is soo pretty.
