Fall Halo Eye, Using the Studio Makeup on-the go- palette.

smotg

I am just going to jump right in to this look. If you want to see my full review of this palette, you can do so,here!

928

  • I started off by priming my eyes with the Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus eye primer. It reminds me a lot of the Urban Decay Primer Potion, and cost way less.
  • I used that 2nd shade, the matte cream, to set my eyes with a big fluffy brush.
  • I then used the matte light brown as a transition, I just buffed it inn my crease.
  • For the inner and outer third of my eye, I used that metallic copper shade. It gives off some major fall vibes, so I thought it would be perfect.
  • I then took the shade right next to it, the matte really warm brown, and buffed that in to my crease to kind of connect my inner and outer thirds of my eye.
  • I then grabbed my Au Naturale Creme shadow in “ivory” and put it where I want the light color to be, that will give off the halo effect.
  • For the halo shade I decided to use the third shade in the 1st row. I think the yellow tones to it complement the copper shade well.
  • To deepen my crease I went in with a more defined brush and the matte deep brown shade to really define my crease.
  • Under my eyes I used the copper shade on the inner and outer third and the yellow toned light shade in between them to mirror the upper lid.

9281

I am not going to go in on my face makeup and brows. I really don’t mix it up much, so it is the same as usual.

  • I did a little wing with the Kat Von D tattoo liner in “trooper”
  • Used the Tartest mascara in “black”
  • For my lips I used the Wet n’ Wild Mega last lipstick in “mocha-licious”.

I want to say I am sorry that my lighting is so bad. I am trying to work on it. I also wanted to say that this was my first ever attempt at a halo eye so it really is a work in progress!

I reallly hope you enjoyed this post! What do you think of this look? What looks would you like to see? Comment below! Want more B&T? READ THIS! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Boxy Charm Product Review; Studio Makeup on-the- go eye-shadow palette

bcs5

Hey guys!

Ever since I posted my Boxy Charm UN-boxing for September, I have gotten questions about this palette. This post is going to be my review on the palette, then tomorrow I am posting a look using the palette! The look is very fall centered, so keep your eyes open for it.

If you purchase this palette it is $49.95, which is about the price of a Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. This palette contains 9 shades with a total weight of 13.5 g.

Purchase it here.

Details from the site:

“On the Go eyeshadow palette is a compilation of shades that updates the bare beauty look with a cosmopolitan attitude. With this elegant palette you can create the prettier, urban makeup look and Go Studio from day to night. The On the Go Eyeshadow Palette includes 9 shades that will boost your confidence all year round.”

This palette is Limited edition.

This palette DOES contain carmine as a color additive, therefore it is NOT vegan friendly.

I can not find any information about this companies cruelty free stance, so I E-mailed them and will update you all when I get a response.

Packaging:

The packaging is super sleek and thin, which I really appreciate. There is a magnet that keeps the palette closed. There is no mirror in the palette, which is something I think is essential when you are trying to market a product as “on the go”.  The back of the palette has a picture of the shades and the ingredients used in the shadows. The only thing I don’t like about the packaging is how there is no mirror, other than that it is great!

The shadows:

smotg

As you can easily see, this palette is warm toned. Which I love. I am going to give a tiny description of each shade then talk about the formula over all.

  • Light shimmery shade, great inner corner highlight.
  • Matte Cream shade. Always a fantastic shade to have on hand.
  • Gold toned light shimmery shade.
  • Matte light brown
  • Shimmery cooper. Beautiful shade. Almost metallic
  • Matte warm toned brown, perfect for fall
  • Deep glittery brown. Has actual glitter in it rather than shimmer.
  • Matte deep brown
  • Matte Black
All of the shades are extremely pigmented and buttery. The mattes are not the slightest bit chalky and the shimmery shades are amazing and it takes the smallest amount for them to make a huge impact.

smtog1

Overall:

I really love this palette! It can be used to make a ton of different looks and has a ton of shades that are essential to any collection. I highly recommend getting your hands on this palette if you are able to. I am really interested in trying more products from this company. I am really hoping that they are cruelty free so that I can continue to love this palette and pick up some more stuff from them!

I really hope you enjoyed this post! What do you think of this palette? What are your favorite warmed toned shadows? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this post out! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

5 fall lip colors you can get at your local drugstore, right now. That are Cruelty Free!

926

It’s finally fall! Fall is my favorite time of year. I love everything about it, all the pumpkin, the cute clothes, obviously Halloween, and the makeup changes that come along with the weather changing.

One thing that always stands out to me in fall is the Vampy and deep lip colors. Vampy lips are my favorite lips! But, it can get expensive finding good lip products, in such deep shades that really wear well. This is where this post comes in and saves your wallet!

You don’t have to spend a ton of dough or wait forever for online purchases to arrive…Here are 5 Fall lip shades you can go get, right now, from your local drug store.

Wet n’ Wild Mega Last lip stick in shades “Cherry Bomb” and “Mocha-licious”:

9261

If you watch YouTube, I am sure you have heard of this line of lipsticks. They are easy to get your hands on and crazy Inexpensive. Only $1.99!

The first swatch is of “Cherry Bomb”, it is a cranberry shade and is extremely creamy. I does not dry down 100% matte, it is more of a demi matte.

The second is of “Mocha-licious”. This is a beautiful deeper mauve that does dry down matte. I picked this up beacuse it reminded me of the popular “Kardashian” lip color every one is all hyped up over.

For just under $2, these lipsticks last much longer than expected, and feel even better than anything I would have imagined at that price. If you want a good fall lip color, but don’t want to spend big bucks, or if you need a color you will rarely wear so you don’t want to spend a ton, I highly recommend this line.

Here, is where you can pick them up if you are like me and don’t like leaving the comfort of your home.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in “Vintage” and “Cherry Skies”:

9262.jpg

I have done a review of this entire line, back in the early days of my blog. I love the line, and these just happen to be 2 of my favorite shades.

“Vintage” is another deep mauve, but mucher deeper than “mocha-licious”. It also has a bit more gray and mauve tones to it.

“Cherry Skies” is a beautiful, well cherry red. It is just a true deep red. True deep reds are my favorite shade for lips, it looks classy and elegant, but also sexy and edgy.

This formula is very creamy and doesn’t feel uncomfortable once it dries down. It is not a completely matte finish, but it doesn’t look glossy either. They last quite a while on the lips and don’t seem to really transfer once dry. They are a bit messy when they are first applied though, so be careful! The best part about them though is that they are only $6.99! You can order them, here, if you would rather shop online.

NYX Butter Gloss in the shade “Devil’s Food Cake”:

9263

So, you want to follow the fall lip trend, but you are not too confident with super saturated lip colors. I have got you covered!

The NYX Butter Glosses are amazing and have a ton of fall shades that allow you to still rock a vampy lip, but can save you the hassle of worrying about the deep saturated color becoming a mess.

My personal favorite is “Devil’s Food Cake”. It smells good, feels very hydrating, and gives my lips a deep red tint. Almost like they were bitten really hard. Which sounds strange, but I think you under stand what I mean. This is a great way to be vampy in a hhurry or if you are just afraid of the deep shades.

You can pick it up here, for only $4.99!!

I really hope you enjoyed this quick post! What are your favorite fall easy to find lip shades? What types of posts would you like to see? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this out! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Tid Bit Post: Millie’s 1st Pet Treater UN-Boxing!

petsept

How is everyone?

As some of you may have read, almost a month ago Josiah and I got a dog! She is a 3 almost 4 month old Shepard/Lab mix. My friend had a family member who had to get rid of her, she was going to go to a shelter. Instead we adopted her!

In true B&T style my new little lady had to have her very own subscription box. After a ton of research, I decided to settle on Pet Treater! For $24.95 a month you get a box packed full of goodies for your dog, and even one for yourself. If you use the code “PT bed” you can get a free bed for your pup with your first box! You can chose your dogs size; small, medium, or large. Right now we get Millie the medium box, but according to our vet this time next year she will be over 50 lbs, there fore will be moved to the large dog box.

The Free Bed:

petsept1

Please ignore the mess, my best friend and I were making fall pillows and Millie had gotten into the fluff moments before this picture. Bad planning on my part.

At first I though the bed was going to be to small, but she has been curling up in it a lot so I guess it isn’t that small. The tag with the bed says it was made in America by textile workers and costs $14.99. I think that is a pretty good deal to get for free. It is really soft with strong stitching. It isn’t an eye sore either. My living room is the least decorated room in my house though, I change it up for the season and haven’t put up my fall stuff yet.

In the box:

When you open the box there is always a little note addressed to your dog, from another dog. I think this is precious. There is also a little card stating the current months theme, next months theme, and the dog of the month. This months theme is “Ain’t nothing but a hound dog”. Is that not adorable?!

petsept2

The first thing I pulled out of the box was the biggest, and it is really going to come in handy where I live. It is a mat that you can freeze and heat up in the microwave to help keep your pet comfort able. I live in mid-western America, in the winter it is freezing and in the summer it is burning hot. We are going to be using this a lot. The mat is soft and just looks like fake sheeps wool.

petsept3

The next thing I pulled out was a toy! It is a rope toy, Millie loves rope toys, with a rubber casing. It is meant to be really durable. In fact, as I am typing this Millie brought it in to my little beauty/rat room to play with. I am going to say this is a win for her. We have other toys by this brand and they are all really nice. Millie is currently teething and she has been chhewing of the blue part a ton, I think it feels good  on her teeth.

petsept4

The next thing is this month’s “Pet Treater For Your Human”. The candle doesn’t really have a strong scent, but it is cute for an Elvis lover. I am actually thinking of giving it to my mom because my step-dad is taking her to Memphis for her 50th birthday. I do like that they make an effort to include something for the human!

petsept5

I think this is hilarious. This is the last toy in this months box, it is a blue suede shoe! It feels like an actual slipper and has a squeaker in the toes.

petsept6

Even the back of it is funny! For some reason Millie really loves this toy. It has been her go to ever since it came in the box. She runs around the house with it in her mouth, wants it to be thrown, wants to play tug a war with it, and snuggles it. It is pretty precious.

petsept7

This one is pretty cool as well. One of the treats this month was a home made treat from emmys gourmet dog treats. ( The company name isn’t  exactly as I stated I lost the little bag.) It is in the flavor three cheese pleasers and Millie really liked it. I broke it up into three pieces and gave it to her over a few days. I am going to have to get the exact company name and order more treats!

petsept8

More treats! These dog cookies are s’more flavored and man do they smell good! The smell like people cookies, even better than some I have smelt. Millie loves these little dog oreo’s. By the way, all the treats mentioned in this post are made in the USA and of all natural ingredients. I would not give her something that isn’t natural, preferably all treats shes gets are grain-free.

petsept9

This is the last item in the box. This sounds so fun! It is a cheese cake you make for your puppy!! If you can see in the bottom left corner, I am very happy with its contents. I may have to do a post about this once I make it. I didn’t know this sort of thing even existed!!

Overall:

I love this box and I am so happy I decided to go with it! I can not wait to get it in the months to come! It is a fantastic value and everything in it, omitting the candle is really handy or will for sure be consumed by Millie.

Thank you so much for reading! Do you want more pet posts? Do you want to see more pet subscription boxes? What is your pets favorite toy? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this out! Find me on Instagram and snap chat as : manda_janette

Let’s jump it to this fall box, and see if it is worth the $39.95!

BellaPierre Cosmetics HD Makeup Primer $75 Value:

mbf1

WOW. $75 is expensive for a primer, I think anyway.

The card says,”Treat dryness, fine lines, excess oil, and enlarged pores with this mineral-infused formula. This primer provides a one-of-a-kind smooth complexion.”

I am expecting this primer to do some amazing things. It better live up to its $75 price tag! I better use this and have the best skin day I ever have had. I will let you know how it goes.

Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Liquid Lip “Blythe” $24 value:

mbf2

First off, I want to start off by apologizing for the quality of this picture. For some reason the actually picture I took for this post got deleted, but not transferred to my computer. So, I  have to improvise.

A few weeks ago I got an e-mail from Vegan Cuts. It was a little survey asking which shade I preferred a some of the products that would be in the box. For this product I chose the shade “Blythe” and I got it!

The formula feels very smooth, it smells really yummy, and the shade is perfect for fall! Be on the look out for this in up coming looks!

Au Naturale Organic Creme Eyeshadow “Ivory” $20 value:

mbf3

This is another product I got to pick a preferred shade of. I, again, got the shade I asked for! I am not a creme eye shadow type of girl, so I chose the only shade I knew I’d use. Pop it in the inner corner, under my brow bone, maybe do some other highlighting with it. I will let ya see how it goes. It is really creamy and formula, not too pigmented though.

Ofra Cosmetics Illuminating Blush Stripes $35 Value:

mbf4

I love Ofra! But, I do not love how expensive it is. Getting it in subscription boxes makes me ecstatic. Especially when it is products that have multiple uses! Highlighter, blush, eye shadow, oh my! ( I am aware that I am not funny.)

Anyway, this product has given me some really neat ideas, that I am excited to share with my favorite people! By that I mean y’all.

Over all:

Besides the creme shadow I am really excited for everything in this box! Vegan cuts has again out done themselves. The over all value of this box is $154! WOW. Be on the look out for updates about these products!

In The Box:

I am going to start with the product card. On the reverse side of the card is a beautiful illustration of crystals. I really enjoy that Petit Vour uses one side of the card for art, so that it can be reused as a home decor piece, rather than just tossed. I, for one, am going to be putting mine in a small gold picture frame and using it to decorate my living room!

Oh yeah, in case you were wondering, this months theme is, “What a gem!”

ODACITE Serum Concentrate $3 value (Fullsize $32-42):

pvs1

I usually end up losing these little vials before I use them, but this one seems really cool.

The card says,” Beauty thrives on the concentration of actives. These precious little serums are so potent, 2-3 drops is all it takes to see visible results. Mix in 2-3 drops of the serum with your daily moisturizer, or use alone for a more intense treatment.”

I got the Bl+C serum, which is for pimples. This is great, I am having a pretty nasty break out right now, so I will get use out of this. I am excited to review it for you, and maybe end up picking up more from this line if I like this sample.

ADORN Mineral & Organic Hydrating Cream Foundation $4 value (Fullsize $50):

pvs2

I have tried a highlighter from this brand before and love it. I am pretty excited to try this foundation. In fact, this is the first “non-toxic” foundation I have ever tried besides Pacifica or Shea Moisture! I have high hopes for this, especially sense it is $50 fullsized.

The card reads..”Get full, flawless coverage with this smooth, long-lasting foundation. Especially perfect for those with sensitive skin. Tip: can also be used as an eyeshadow base!”

I think I am going to use this all over my face once, then use the remainder as an eye base. Then do a full review!

pvs3

Holy Jesus, I have been wanting to try Osea products so badly, and now I finally get to!

The card reads..”An OSEA classic! Ocean Cleanser is  rich in minerals, algae, dermal proteins, vitamins, and mineral salts with a delightful natural fragrance. This multi-tasking  hydrating formula effectively removes dirt and impurities, leaving your skin feeling refreshed and energized.”

I am so excited for this. I have extremely high hopes for this, hopefully it lives up for my expectations.By the way, the packaging is frosted glass and beautiful. Oh, and the scent is delightful!

MEOW MEOW TWEET Baking Soda Free Deodorant Cream $14 value:

pvs4

Talk about great timing! I ran out of deodorant this morning. This was much needed. I have also been wanting to try more non toxic and vegan deodorants, sense I loved the one from Routine so much.

The card says..”Meow Meow Tweet has taken their well-loved classic deodorant cream and made a few modifications to create a new formula, perfect for those with sensitive skin and just as effective. Designed without baking soda and clay, this recipe uses dietary magnesium and arrow root powder to help control moisture and odor.”

I am really anxious to try this. One because it is vegan and non toxic, and two because it is marketed for sensitive skin, which is me. I am pretty sure I will be reviewing every item in this box!

Overall:

Holy moley, this box is perfect! I am going to be using everything and I am so excited to try every single product! There is a $37 value in this box, and I only paid $15 not bad at all!

Make-Up Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighters; Drug Store Gem?

920

Hey guys,

Let’s take a break from the subscription boxes for a second and do a product review.

I purchased the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter In “Golden Lights” back in July. You saw this if you follow my Instagram _beautytidbits_blog which I am really try to become more invested in. But, I am the worst at flat lays.

After trying that shade for awhile, I decided to order the other 2 shades of it that Ulta carries. I also want to note, they recently came out with a “Rose Gold” shade, but Ulta does not have it yet.

Highlighter is a crazy popular product, and finding a good one can get expensive. But, you don’t have to spend an up wards of $25 to get a good glow!

  9201

“Golden Lights”, “Radiant Lights”, and “Peach Lights”

Talk about coming through. As you can tell from the swatches, these guys have some great pigmentation. And, in case you were wondering, this does give you a BAM highlight on your face. Every shade!

Packaging:

The pans are in a hard plastic compact, with a domed lid. This is a baked product, so it is more raised than normal. It contains 7.5 grams of product.

Application:

My preferred way to apply this highlight, well all powdered highlights is with the ELF highlighting brush, sometimes a fan brush. KEEP IN MIND THIS DOES CONTAIN DIMETHICONE. I know some people do try to avoid this ingredient. All three shades apply easily and are easy to blend. They can also be used wet! I highlight my cheek bones, nose, cupid’s bow, and sometimes use the highlight to pop my inner corner and under my brow bone.

Wear/Over All Thoughts:

I have tried a ton of highlighters. Especially drugstore ones. The Makeup Revolution Baked Vivd’s are by far my favorite, and they are only $6 at Ulta! It is pigmented enough to give you that ever so popular in your face highlight, easy to blend, and crazy inexpensive. I wanted to compare these highlighters to a more expensive one, so you can really see why you don’t have to shell out a butt ton of money to look like a glowing goddess.

9202

Here they are compared to The Balms Mary Lumanizer. I would even go as far as to say that “Golden Lights” is a dupe for Mary Lou! I would 100% say that this is a drugstore gem and well worth the $6 it costs.

I hope you enjoyed this post! What is your favorite drugstore highlight? What about highend? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this out!

Boxy Charm September 2016 UN- Boxing

bcs

Yees, it is obviously the week where all of my subscription boxes arrive.

Today, it is Boxy Charm!

Boxy Charm is $21 a month, and you get 4-5 usually full sized items. You can sign up, HERE! I really enjoy boxcharm it is a great way to get good quality products and try out things you have never heard of, with out having to but a bullet in your wallet.

Let’s dive into this box:

Project Beauty Hairgurt Smoothing Yogurt Hair Masque (fullsize):

bcs1

This is a nice sized bottle to get in a subscription box, especially of a hair mask! I feel like every time I get a hair mask, it is only enough for maybe two uses. Not the case with this. It is 4 ounces of product! I really love the smell, I can definitely smell the fresh banana in it. It is free of parabens, sulfates, harsh salt systems, harmful colors, and harmful fragrances.

The card reads..”A smoothing yogurt hair masque with yogurt protein, prebiotics, quinoa, a botanical oil blend, and bio-keratin.”

You are supposed to apply this product from roots to ends and leave on for 5-10 mins. This is an $11 value. I can’t wait to try it out and update you on it!

butter LONDON Trend Nail Lacquer (fullsizze):

bcs2

I love nude polish, and butterLONDON’s formula. This is 100% a win for me. I think this shade will look great paired with the one I got in my Ipsy bag.

The card says…”An 8-free lacquer in a heavily pigmented colour and finish. This vitamin enriched formula promotes nail strength and provides beautifully consistent coverage”

This shade is named “Yummy Mummy” and I think that is perfect for this time of year. This is a $15 value.

PUR Cosmetics Lip Lure (fullsize):

bcs3

Tell me this isn’t a beautiful berry fall shade! It is called “Mystic”. I am in love, it actually reminds me of the shade “FIG” from the Too Faced Melted line upon first glace. Up on swatching them though, this shade is much darker than “FIG”.

The card says..“Let your lips speak for you with beautifully bold color and brilliant shine! This richly pigmented lip lacquer saturates your lips in true color and pout-perfecting hydration. Using a unique, flocked, shower-head applicator, this creamy, full-coverage liquid formula creates a show stopping look in just one stroke!

I think this type of applicator makes it much easier to evenly apply the color. I can really see myself using this a ton in the coming months. This is a $22 value.

Hikari Cosmetics Eyeliner (fullsize):

bcs4

I think this is the only thing I am not excited for. It is a normal twist up liner, in the shade “Raven”. When I opened it the tip was all mashed and broken, so that is why this swatch looks so bad. It is a deep black, and doesn’t budge. I guess we will see how it works on the eyes soon.

The card reads…“The perfect mechanical eyeliner with a smooth formula for easy application.”

I have a few black liners I already love, so this is just a, keep it in the wings just in case, product for me. It is a $13.00 value.

Studio Makeup “on-the-go” Palette (fullsize):

bcs5

Upon first look at this palette I though, “great another neutral palette”. I also looked at the name and it made me think of the cheap sets you can get from wal-mart during Christmas. I honestly was expecting this to be crap…I was wrong. Look at those swatches, it is beautiful! I already know I will be using the heck out of this palette.

The card says…”On the go eyeshadow palette is a compilation of shades that updates the bare beauty look with a cosmopolitan attitude. Includes 9 shades that are perfect for creating day or night looks.”

I can not wait to give y’all a full review of this palette! It is a $49.95 value, that is like getting a Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette!!

Over all:

4 out of 5 isn’t bad for $21, especially when those 4 are major hits! This box is the perfect transition in to fall. The boxes over all value is $110.95! Jesus!!! Boxy Charm is truly awesome.

What did you think of this box? What about the products? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check out last months BC un-boxing!

The Contents:

Luxie Beauty 227 Blending brush:

vcs1

I love getting brushes in makeup subscriptions. Especially when they are such great quality. The card says, “dense, yet soft to the touch onyx noir blending brush; a makeup collection must-have.” Luxie brushes are amazing quality, but I can never bring myself to make a purchase of them. So, I am always really excited when I get them! This is a $16 value!

William Roam Shampoo + Conditioner:

vcs2

I seriously love Vegan Cuts. These two nice sized bottles are counted as one product, most companies wouldn’t do that! There was a mistake with my package and I got two conditioners. But, I emailed their costumer service, and less then 15 minuets later, I got an email back saying that they would send me the shampoo. Great service! They have an herbal smell to them,  but not too herbal. It is actually really hard to explain. Let’s see what the card has to say. “Hydrating and fresh-feeling shampoo + conditioner duo for all hair types.” I am pumped to try this duo out for y’all and let you know how it works. This is a $14 value.

Page Ashbury Facial Moisturizer:

vcs4

Okay, this smells amazing. It has a very floral scent, which I am really into. It comes in a small plastic bottle with a pump that dos lock for travel. The card says, “Rejuvenating facial moisturizer powered by jasmine and neroli essential oils and aloe vera.” I will definitely keep y’all updated on this product. This is a $7.50 value.

SK Pure Essentials Jasmine Citrus Body Scrub:

vcs5

I think I am in love with the scent of jasmine. And the grain of the scrub! It feels like it is just straight sugar, nothing else. It is kind of neat! The card reads, “Gentle exfoliating organic cane sugar body scrub infused with jasmine and citrus oil” This is a $4.50 value.

Melanie Mills Hollywood Gleam Lip Radiance”Naked”

vcs6This lip color is this months featured product. The card says, “Show your lips some love with this luxurious lip color.” Not much info, but whatever.

vcs7

I love this color. I also love the smell and texture. I will be reaching for this a ton I can already tell. It is a $24 value. Geeze.

Vanishing Cabinet By: Notoriously Morbid Sept. 2016 UN- Boxing

vc

Y’all, I am so excited!!

I finally got off the wait list for the Notoriously Morbid Vanishing Cabnet!! It is a monthly subscription that is based off of pop culture. I am just going to put this out there, I am a gigantic nerd. Always have been, always will be. I mean, I come from parents who have themed their christmas tree Star Trek, Star Wars, Kiss, and Harry Potter. I was groomed to be a nerd. Not only am I a nerd, But I am a horror junkie. This also stems from my family, but I don’t use my actual last name for this blog, for some type on anonymity, so I can’t discuss that!

When I heard of this subscription I had to have it, but I had to wait a few months. Not too long ago I got an email that I was off the wait list, and I jumped on the chance to be a part of this. It is also only $13.25 and comes with 4-5 full and sample sized items!

Details on this cabinet:

The theme for this month is “Death is Becoming”. It is based on the dark comedy, “Death Becomes Her”. I have never seen this movie, but I am going to watch it tomorrow during my day off to see what it is all about. It includes 3 shadows and a lip product. It also says that next months box is going to be special, I hope so because October is my favorite time of year!!

What’s Inside?:

Included in the cute purple mailer is the card explaining the theme and product. This includeds the ingredients, if they are vegan, and if they are lip safe. There was also a piece of gum, which is actually my favorite type of bubble gum, so we are off to a good start.

Changeling Top Coat “Touch of Magic: This product is brand new and a VC exclusive, which I think is really neat that we get to get stuff others can’t just buy on the site. This is meant to be put on top of lip products to transform the shade. It is violet with a blue shift. It is said to work best with matte lip products.

The top swatch is “Touch of Magic” alone, and the bottom is it on top of Colour Pop “Lumiere”. Isn’t it pretty? I can’t wait to use it on my lips. It does say on the packaging to shake well before use. The product is watery, so I recommend waiting to apply it over another product once the product has dried down matte. This product is not vegan.

3 Loose Shadows:

I also received 3 loose shadows. All in little jars, with the theme printed on a sticker stuck on  the lid. They also have the name, ingredients, and what VC it came in printed on a sticker on the bottom. All three shadows are vegan.

“Spray Paint”, “Why am I in the Morgue?” (lip safe), “Forever Young” (Lip safe)

These shades are stunning. And so extremely pigmented! All 3 shades are shimmery. The powders are so finely milled that they almost seem fluffy. I have never felt anything like it, I almost couldn’t feel it when I was sticking my fingers in the product to swatch it. It was kind of nuts.

Overall:

I am really thrilled with this subscription and fully intend to keep it. I can not wait to try the products out and up date you on them!
