Ipsy Un-Bagging September 2016

Hello loveys!

As I am sure you can tell from the title, we are going to be unbagging my Ipsy bag today! If you have been living under a rock and don’t know what Ipsy is, it is a beauty subscription where you get 4-5 sample to full sized beauty items for only $10 a month, plus a super cute bag! Sign up here!

Ipsy does not include prices on their card or on their sight, so I will be including personal value for each item. I got this idea from Jen Luvs Reviews on youtube and decided to give it a shot!

The theme this month is glamazon. I always like to start this type of post by talking about the bag itself, sense it is something I actually use. The bag seems to be made of pretty good quality material. The bag itself is black with gold shimmer in it, with a really pretty gold band in the center. On that band are little people that remind me of those things from The Blair Witch Project. But, that may be because I just saw the commercial for the new one. (Super Super PUMPED!!) I actually know exactly what I am doing with this bag, using it to hold part of a gift for a friend.

Naked Cosmetics Advanced Aloe Cream: The first sample I pulled out of the bag is a moisturizer. I do like the brand naked cosmetics, they have some really pretty pigments. I actually had no idea that this brand made skin care products. It has no smell at all, which I prefer in skin care, and has made my skin really soft right after use. I will have to get some more use out of it and get back to y’all on it. However, there isn’t much actual product in this sample tube. Personal value $2

Amie Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish: Next up is a face scrub. This product came at the perfect time, I literally used up the last bit of mine this morning. This product apparently uses rice granules to lift out dirt and impurities from your pores. It is a really gentle exfoliator and smells like mango. I love mango. For some reason the smell makes me think of Freshman year of High School. The sample size for this product is really good! It is full to the top, and about the size of a travel toiletry. Personal value $5

Tarte Tarteist Mascara “Black”: Before I get into my actual thoughts on this product I want to give you my thoughts in mini mascaras. I love them. I prefer having them to full sized ones.I never go through a big one and just feel like I am wasting money, but with the smaller sized ones I feel like I am getting my moneys worth. But, this one I am not that happy with. The cap closes in a strange way, that causes me to be afraid it is going to just pop open and dry out. The formula also seems pretty gummy, so that throws me off as well. I will have to test this product out some more and let y’all know my full thoughts. Personal value: $5

Pixi by Petra Matte Luster Lipstick “Rose Naturelle”:

Isn’t this color pretty?! That is pretty much the end of what I like about this product. It does not dry down matte, which I am not 100% sure if it is supposed to sense it is a “matte luster.” The sample size of this product is truly ridicules. It makes me think of a free Avon lipstick sample. There is no way I am going to use this, I will be surprised if I can even find it in an hour. Personal value: $0

Trust Fund Beauty nail polish “Champagne Socialite”

I love this brand. It is cruelty free and vegan, which I obviously love. It is pretty difficult to find a cruelty free AND vegan polish where I live, so I am glad that I got this. It is a gorgeous shimmery nude color, which I personally think is perfect for fall!  Personal value: $10

Overall:

This isn’t the best Ipsy bag I have ever gotten, But it isn’t terrible either. Really the only product I am not happy with is the lipstick.

Overall Personal Value: $22

I can’t be mad about only spending $10, but getting a personal value of $22!

I really hope you enjoyed this un- bagging! What did you get in your Ipsy bag? What is your personal value of these products? Comment below! Want more B&T? August 2016 Ipsy UN-bagging! Check out last months un-bagging!
