Blythe | Juice Beauty Liquid Lip

mbf2

In the fall Vegan Cuts Make-up box, one of the featured products was a Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigment Liquid Lip. The shade I was hoping for, and the shade I got, is the shade “Blythe”.

From the site:

Formulated with the highest concentration of plant-derived Phyto-Pigments combined with cold-pressed oils and a fruit stem cell serum. Lays down the intense, vivid pigment of a lip stain and achieves a high-shine finish without feeling tacky or drying. Moisturizing and conditioning, with a comfortable finish and a doe-foot applicator that delivers color smoothly and evenly. Contains the Juice Beauty exclusive Moisture Plant Blend (glycerin, betaine and phospholipids) to increase skin hydration and the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments exclusive blend of cape lilac and coccinia gourd.”

This product is natural and is void of the harmful chemicals in more conventional products.

“Blythe” is described as a pink- mauve.

My thoughts:

This liquid lip, is just that, liquid. More so than other ones I have tried. It also settles quickly due to the formula, so make sure to shake it before each use. This product made my lips feel very moisturized, and it did not dry down completely matte. This is fine by me, I am starting to be burnt out on the matte lip. I love how clean this product is, I feel like my lips are being nourished while being coated in a beautiful shade, rather than being dried out and crusted over.

On the lips:

blyth

When the product is first applied it transfers very easily. So be careful not to get it on your skin and teeth, sense it is a deeper color it is a bit difficult to clean up.

This product wore much longer on my lips than I expected it to, due to its extremely liquidy consistency. I am very interested in picking up more shades of this product. And for $24, it is much less expensive than other good quality green beauty products, believe it or not.

You can pick it up, here, if you are interested in it as well! It is a line of green beauty products I recommend and am dying to try more of.

My Go To, “Oh, no I’m late!” Makeup Look and Products.

late

A little while ago I was asked to do a post on what I do makeup wise when I am running late or when I do not feel like taking a ton of time on makeup.

Foundation: Wetting a beauty blender really feels like a hassle sometimes, so when in a hurry I would rather use a brush. My favorite foundation to use with a brush is the Pacifica Dreamy Cover foundation serum. There are not a lot of shades of this foundation, which is lame, but the lightest shade works well for me. I just blend it in quickly with a flat top kabuki brush.

Concealer: Right a long with foundation, I do not want to have to use a beauty blender. I really enjoy using the Pacifica Transcendent concealer with a flat top kabuki brush. It does great at concealing my blemishes and at high lighting my face.

Brows: I still take a bit of time on my brows, no matter what. I feel like they really make or break my face. I use the Stroke of Beauty brow definer to outline and fill in my brows. I then use a tinted brow gel to set them and make sure they are the color I want them to be. I then use the Pacifica concealer to define them. I usually use the ELF small concealer brush to do so.

Eyes: I ordered the Too Faced x Nikkie Tutorials set the second it went live on Ulta.com. It wasn’t something I loved as much as I wanted to. But, I do get use out of it!

  • I take the shade “Pain Killer” in my crease as a transition color. It has become my favorite shadow for this purpose.
  • I use the shade “Ivy” all over my lid and I also use it to highlight under my brow bone.
  • To define my lower lash line I use the shade “Makeup and Chill”.

Blush, Bronzer, Etc: For this I also use the Nikkie palette. I mix the two blush shades, use the bronzer to contour and bronze, and use the highlight on the parts of my face I want to highlight. The highlight isn’t a very in your face highlight, so it is nice for when I am not too made up.

Lips: For my  lips I usually go with something glossy, tends to be much less work than matte lip products. Lately I have been reaching for my Nude Stick lip and cheek pencil in the shade “Mystic”.

10292

This is how the finished look turns out! Super simple and enhances my features just enough. The products last all day and they have all been very fail safe for me.

FOTD | High-End AND Drug-Store

1029

I love the idea that inexpensive products and expensive products can work well together, so I thought that I would do a FOTD showing some of my favorite combinations! I also want to mention that I will NOT be doing a post for the October Pet Treater. I just got it today, due to a mix up. It was super cute and Millie loves everything in it. I will do a post for next month though, when it comes!

10291

Brows:

  • I out lined my brows with the Colour Pop brow pencil in “Dope Taupe”. I still do not like this pencil, but wanted to use it up.  Cost: $5
  • I then filled them in with the powder from the ELF brow kit in “light” Cost:$3
  • To set my brows I used the Brow Gal brow gel in “clear”.  Cost: $20

Face (base):

  • Hour Glass Mood Light Primer. Full-Size $44. I got a sample of this with a Sephora purchase.
  • Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless. I am trying to use this up, I like it a lot, but will not repurchase it, because it is not cruelty free. Cost: $5(ish).
  • ELF Brightening HD Concealer. This isn’t the best for under eye correction, but I really enjoy it for highlighting. Cost: $6
  • Too Faced Born This Way Concealer. I used the lightest shade in this, and it is a perfect match for concealing my blemishes.Cost: $28
  • L’oreal True Match Pressed Powder. I really enjoy this powder, but alas, I can not repurchase it because it is not cruelty free. 😦 Cost: $8.99

Face (Blush and Such):

  • I have loved the Wet N’ Wild blushes since I started wearing makeup ages ago! My all time favorite is the shade “Heather Silk”. I have gone through I have no idea how many of these. It gives my cheeks the perfect “it’s cold outside” flush. Cost: $4.99
  • Pacifica Sun Kissed Bronzer. I got this in an Ipsy bag and have been reaching for it quite a bit. It is kind of dark for my pale skin, so I have to use a light hand. Cost: $12
  • For my Highlight I used the Ofra Illuminating Blush Stripes. I love how many different things you can use this product for, and holy glow! Cost: $35

Lips:

  • To start off my lips I lined and filled them in with the Jordana automatic lip liner in the shade “Rock n’ Rose”. I love these liners and they are only $1.95!
  • I have been using the crap out of my Bit Beauty lip crayon in the shade “Glace”. I got it as a point perk, I think, at Sephora, and I am really loving it. Cost: $24.
  • I didn’t really feel like leaving my lips matte, but I didn’t want them too shiny. I used the Lip Radiance by Melanie Mills in the shade “Naked”. It kind of smells like play dough though. Cost: $12.

Eyes:

10292

  • I primed my eyes using the Wet n’ Wild Fergie eye primer. It is literally the same thing as the newer Photo Focus eye primer. Cost: $4.
  • I set my eyes with Wet n’ Wild’s single shadow in the shade “Brulee”. I also used this to blended out any harsh lines that my shadows created. Cost: $.99!!!
  • To act as a transition I used the Merle Norman Bronzing Powder in “Pool Side”. My mom had a sample of this and gave it to me, so I depotted it and put it in my Ofra Pro palette! I am not sure of the cost of any of the Merle Norman products mentioned, I think it varies studio to studio.
  • All over my lids I used one of my favorite shadows, the Wet n’ Wild single in the shade “Nutty.” Cost: $.99!
  • To make my crease smokier, I used the Merle Norman Single in the shade “Mist”. I also depotted this one, I am really liking their products, hopefully they are cruelty free so I can get more. It is a matte blue/gray shade. Really pretty.
  • To deepen up my crease and outer v I used a sparkly black ofra single in the shade “Iron”. I also used this on my lower lash line. Cost: $10.
  • For my liner I used a black Marc Jacobs gel liner that was the Sephora Birthday gift I got in January. Full-Sized: $25.
  • I used the Tartest Lash Paint mascara in the shade black. Cost: $23.

Night Sail | Glamour Doll Eyes

102816

More Glamour Doll Eyes!

I have been loving playing with these pigments, so expect a lot of this sort of post coming up!

On their site you can get 5 random sample jars for $11.88. This was one of the 5 random sample jars I got.

Night sail, is a golden brown base with silver and blue duo chrome. I really think this shade is beautiful, and much different than any other shades I have.

10281

When applying this pigment, it is better to tap the pigment on to the lids rather than sweep it. Keep in mind that there is a lot of fallout, and with this shade there is a lot of glitter.

The Look:

10282

  • I started off by priming my lids with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
  • I then used the shade “Latte”, from the Lorac Pro Matte palette, to act as a transition in my crease.
  • After that, I patted “Night Sail” all over my lid.
  • I did a little blending with the shade “Latte”
  • To deepen up my crease a bit I used the shade “Corduroy”, from the same palette.I also took this on my lower lash line.
  • To blend out any sharp edges I used the shade “Bare” from, you guessed it, that same Lorac palette.
  • To highlight my inner corner I used the shade “Linen”, hint hint, from the Lorac palette.
  • I used the Kat Von D tattoo liner in “Mad Max Brown” to wing my upper lash line.
  • I used the Tartest Lash Paint mascara, on my top and bottom lashes.

Would I buy full-size?

When I run out of this little jar, which  I feel like is going to last me ages, I sure will buy the full size! It is a unique shade that can almost act as a warm and a cool toned neutral. It is the perfect lid shade, in my opinion, and I can really see myself reaching for this shade over ones I have in palettes.

Frosted Berries Lip Gloss | The All Natural Face

vco5

Greetings!

If you read my October Vegan Cuts Un-Boxing, if not you can here, then you saw that I got this gloss from The All Natural Face. After getting this product I decided to browse their site, and they sell so much! Vegan and natural, oral, body, and hair care, makeup up, tools, and empty jar and palettes! Everything is very inexpensive, so you better believe I will be trying out a lot of their products.

But, this post is about the gloss in “Frosted Berries”.

It is a sheer berry gloss with shimmer. I think this is a wonderful shade for this time of year, especially if you want to follow the bold lip trend, but don’t want to do super dark.

vco6

I really have been enjoying throwing this on my lips when I am short on time, it feels really nice and lasts about as expected for a gloss.

My favorite way to wear it; however, is over lip liners. For the lip picture I am gong to include this is what I did, just so I could show y’all how to dress it up.

frosted-berries

  • I lined the outer parts of my lips with the Essence lip liner in “Soft Berry”
  • I then lined the inner parts of my lips with the Essence lip liner in “In the Nude” to create an ombre look.
  • I then applied the gloss on top and put the Notoriously Morbid high lighter in “It’s Only a Dream” on the very center of my lower lip to make it look like it has more of a  pout.

Will I buy more?

YES! I love this gloss and want to try everything from this brand. I love natural and green products, so when I find a brand I really enjoy I kind of go crazy. I am really glad that I am subscribed to Vegan Cuts so that I can discover things like this.

I hope you enjoyed this little post! Have you tried this brand? What are your must have products? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this out! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Audacious Arsenic | Glamour Doll Eyes

1025

Hey guys!

If you follow my Instagram, right here, and you totally should. Then you would know that I recently hauled some shadows from Glamour Doll Eyes! I have been addicted to watching Biohazardous Beauty on YouTube, and she talks really highly of Glamour Doll Eyes, and I decided that it was time I made a purchase!

For this post, we are going to focus on four of the samples I purchased.

10251

From left to right.

  • Electric Chair: Metallic white with a pink and blue shift
  • Inconsiderate: a light matte brown, the perfect transition shade!
  • Arsenic: Metallic orange with a gold sparkle.
  • Audacious: A dark greenish brown with gold sparkle.

Which ones would I purchase full-sized?

I am 100% going to order Inconsiderate and Arsenic full-sized. Inconsiderate is the perfect transition shade for me and Arsenic is such a unique color. I am going to purchase the sample jar size of the other two shades, because a little bit of them goes a really long way.

The look:

10252

  • I primed my eyes with my Urban Decay primer potion. This are loose pigments, so you need a good reliable and a bit sticky primer.
  • I started off with taking Inconsiderate in my crease and buffing it in to act as a transition shade.
  • I then covered my entire lid with Arsenic.
  • To deepen up my outer V and crease I went in with Audacious and blended. I used a little too much so I had to go back over where I placed Arsenic.
  • I then took the shade Electric Chair and put it in my inner corner and a tiny bit on to the first third of my lid.
  • To lend out the edges and highlight under my brow bone, I used the Wet N’ Wild single in Brulee, in true Bio Hazardous Beauty fashion!
  • Lastly for the shadows I took Audacious on my lower lash line.
  • For my winged liner I used the Girl Lactik Precise Eye liner Pen in the shade black.
  • As usual, for mascara I used the Pacifica Dream Big Mascara.

Overall:

I am really happy with these shadows and can not wait to try the rest that I purchased! I am going to be ordering more from this brand very soon. It is amazing quality, cruelty free, a large majority vegan, and very inexpensive!

I really hope that you enjoyed this post! Have you tried this brand? What are your favorite products from it? What are your favorite similar brands? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this older post out! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Petit Vour | October 2016

pvo

Another subscription box, this time Petit Vour!

Petit Vour is another vegan and green beauty box, this one is $15 a month, which is a huge bargain.  When you purchase stuff on their website, you get 20% back to use towards future shop purchases, so that is always fantastic.

This month the little card with the products is, again, adorable. It has different shades of lips all over it and says, “kiss kiss”. Another one I will be framing.

pvo1

Apoterra Skincare Tulsi Body Oil $7 Value (FullSize $28):

I think this is an amazing sample size. It is an oil that is supposed to be mixed in with lotion or used alone. It can also be used in the bath and as a massage oil, so that is nice. The smell is great, it is primrose and lavender, and lavender is my favorite scent. It is meant to be relaxing, so this is going to be wonderful at night. I have a lavender essential oil I burn before bed, and I think this will be a great companion to use on my skin.

pvo2

Pai Serum Concentrate $3 Value ($40 Full Size):

Apparently this stuff is a life saver. It has a ton of great claims and different testimonies to back it up. I for one have never heard of it.

“Pai’s bestselling skin hero is the ultimate multi-tasker. With regular use, it deeply conditions skin, improving firmness & elasticity& promoting a clearer even skin tone.”

You are supposed to massage 2-3 drops in to clean, dry face or body. This has some big claims and it would be great if it works. But, I really don’t think I will see the results with such a small sample size. This may end up being something I bid off on my Listia profile.

pvo3

Kahina Giving Beauty Beldi Soap $5 Value (Fullsize $38):

I have never had something like this and I am pretty excited to try it. Apparently this is supposed to be gel lik, but acts like a masque for your body. I have very dry and sensitive skin, so a body mask sounds amazing! If this works I will gladly buy the full size. It is scented with eucalyptus, which I believe is supposed to be relaxing.

Red Apple Lipstick $23.50 Value “Rebel!”:

I have wanted to try this brand so badly! But, it is so expensive. When I pulled this out of my box I was elated. The packaging is perfect and the shade is one I actually really like. I really want to try more from this brand, but geeze, why does it have to cost so much?  I will for sure be reviewing this, and if I love it as much as I think I will, I will be trying more from this brand.

Over all, I am really happy with this box! The lipstick alone did it for me, everything else is just extra! If I don’t use the serum, it will get me Listia points towards something I do want, so not a complete dud here!

Notoriously Morbid Vanishing Cabinet | October 2016

nm

My 2nd Vanishing Cabinet from Notoriously Morbid!

I love this brand and this bag, so I was super excited to see it in the mail. I may or may not have squealed when I saw the theme… it is inspired by Nightmare on Elm Street!!! I am a huge fan of horror movies, this makes me crazy excited.

This bag is a around $15 a month and you get 3-4 limited edition items. They are cruelty free and if the item is vegan, it says so on the product. The brand has a nice rewards program, and in the bag each month is a discount code, which is awesome!

Before I get in to what was included, I wanted to mention that there was a note in the bag stating that an item that was supposed to be included, wasn’t due to a formula error, but it will be in next months bag, so yay!

nm1

The first item is this really pretty eye shadow pigment called “Freddy’s Coming For you”.

“A dirty metallic gray mingled with red sparkles, like the legendary glove itself.”

That is so neat! I am excited to use this shade, I was going to order their primer that helps pigments adhear to the lids, but it is sold out, so I will stick to what I have. NYX.

nm2

The next thing is a highlighter (or a shadow) called “It Is Only a Dream”.

“A beige highlight with gold and a slight red shift.”

Wow, talk about a bam highlight. I can not wait to use this! I was pretty surprised to get a highlighter, I am a little too excited right now.

nm3

The last thing is what I am most excited about, the Mystic Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade, “Never Sleep Again”.

“A warm mid toned brown with copper sparkles.”

I have NOTHING that looks like this, it is beautiful. I really hope it looks good on my skin tone, if not it is bounded to look good on someone I know. By the way, their liquid lipsticks come in a ton of cool shades and are only $12.

I am really happy with my cabinet this month and I am super excited to see what next month brings, I am also super excited for the order I made to get here!

I hope you enjoyed this post! What are your favorite Notoriously Morbid products? What is you favorite primer for pigments? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check out this oldy! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box | October 2016

vco

Yay, Vegan Cuts!

I love this box. It is all natural, cruelty free, and vegan, which makes me very happy. Comes with skin care, makeup, and the occasional tool- for only around $22!

This month’s box is fall centered, and like all the other months, has one item that is featured in every box, so let’s start there!

vco1

Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask $64 value:

I have heard some pretty good things about this mask, so I was excited to get it in the box. Especially sense it is so expensive! It is supposed to pull out impurities and add antioxidants, while hydrating the skin. I want to try the Multi-Masking trend, I think this will work well for that.

There is also a coupon code for 20% off your purchase on Palmetto Derma’s site : Mask20

vco2

Juice Beauty Green Apple Body Moisturizer $5 value:

I love this brand, so I am glad to try anything they make. I always need travel sized lotions, so I could never be mad at one, especially coming for my Vegan Cuts box. This is a nice size for a sample, and it works very well! I have already thrown it in my bag and used it a lot. However, I do not smell any green apple, just lemon, but it still smells good, so it is great in my book!

vco3

Eden BodyWorks Peppermint Shampoo $2.59 Value:

I really do not like the smell of peppermint, or any mint, alone. It makes me think of gum and I seriously HATE gum. I have heard that peppermint shampoos are supposed to stimulate the scalp, I may end up giving it a try, but I could have gone with out this.

vco4

Revive Bath & Body Handmade Peppermint, rosemary, and lemon soap sample $2.50 Value:

While I hate peppermint alone, I enjoy it as an accompaniment scent. This is a nice sized sample, and I love the fact that it is hand made. I have really been enjoying using it, probably going to make a purchase and include it in some Christmas and up comping birthday gifts! 80% of their proceeds go to help women who were victims of trafficking learn job skills, which I think is truly amazing.

The All Natural Face Vegan Lip Gloss “Frosted Berries” $4.60 Value:

I have heard a little bit about this brand, but have never tried it. I believe I heard Ashleigh from Green Beauty Bunny mention it, and everything she recommends has been great to me so far. I was really hoping I would receive something from this brand before making a purchase. Now, after wearing the crap out of this beautiful gloss I can safely say I will be making an order! I am so happy I got this and really want more. It is a beautiful fall shade with out having to have an opaque bold lip.

Overall, I am very happy with this box. I could do with out the shampoo, but if I end up not liking it, I am sure my mom or sister in law will so it isn’t a complete lost!

I hope you enjoyed this post! What do you think of this months box? Have you tried any of these brands, how was it? Comment below! Want more B&T? Here is an older post to check out! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Three’s Company| IBY Beauty

bco4

Hello everyone!

First and foremost, I want to apologize for my absence. There was a medical emergency in my tiny family and we have spent the past few days at the hospital. I am home now and playing nurse (Thank goodness I decided to continue my nursing degree right?) and had some down time to catch back up on posts!

In my Boxy Charm this month there was a really pretty eyeshadow trio from IBY Beauty called Three’s Company. I love the show, so the name automatically caught my fancy. When I swatched the shadows it is safe to say I was smitten, so I HAD to try it out.

This trio is $19. You can pick it up, here! This little trio does come in 3 other options, which I am interested in trying.

Packaging:

The packaging is sleek and black, which I seriously have said I love way too many times. There is a mirror, which is always nice, and a sponge tip applicator. I save these applicators, I actually like to use them to apply shadows as smokey liner.

Shade Descriptions:

There is a shimmery white, a metallic beautiful gold that leans a little copper, and a matte light brown.

The Look:

iby

#carselfie

Before I talk you through my steps, I want to point out that I did not pull in any other shadows, when I do the looks with specific trios and such I try to only use those shadows.

  • I primed my eyes with the Urban Decay Primer Potion in “Eden” I am really loving this version of the primer, it does a good job of neutralizing my lids.
  • I did use my face powder to set the primer.
  • I took the light matte brown and applied it in to my crease as a transition.
  • I wanted my lids to be very gold, so I put that beautiful shade all over my lids. I did find it best to put NYX Jumbo shadow stick in “Milk” under it to give it something to really stick to. You also have to pat this on the lid. It is a little extra to get it to apply evenly, but I do not mind the extra, it is just something you might want to consider.
  • I then blended with the light brown and applied it just a bit in my outer v to make it deeper.
  • I used the shimmery white to highlight my brow bone and inner corner.
  • Last, I took the brown on my lower lash line.
  • I lined my eyes with the Jordana Fabu Liner and used the Pacifica Dream Big mascara.

Over all:

I really enjoy this trio. I think the matte shade is the perfect transition, I have actually been reaching for it when doing other looks. The shimmery white is a really pretty highlight, and the gold is stunning. It is a little hard to work with, but with the right technique it wears beautifully and makes the work so worth it.This is a cruelty free trio, it reminds me of my favorite one from Cover Girl, Golden Sunset, but in a cruelty free version and with a matte thrown in! I am really considering ordering the other trios.

I really hope you enjoyed this post! Sorry again for being MIA:( Have you tried this trio or brand? Thoughts? Comment Below! Want more B&T? Check this old post out! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap chat as manda_janette
