Notoriously Morbid Changeling Top Coat *Vanishing Cabinet Product Review*

vc1

If you read my first VC un-bagging, then you have already heard of this neat product.

Essentially it is a top coat for your lip stick that will make it look iridescent. The specific shade I got “Touch of Magic”, is a VC exclusive, which is cool!

Info from the site:

“Our Changeling Top Coat is hand-formulated and designed to set quickly, creating a shift of color that takes your lip color from ordinary to metallic or mix and match for a multi-chrome effect! We show the Changeling Top Coats paired here with our Mystic Matte Liquid Lipstick in “Rune.” “Siren” is also shown layered over our Mystic Matte in “Arcane.” These will somewhat mattify non-matte lipsticks, leaving the intense color-shifting hue. We’ve tried them with several types of lipsticks and have had varying degrees of success in mattifying them.

Due to popular demand, we have brought back the Changeling’s in the Duowand packaging. The Changeling Top Coats are packaged in a single wand with two 1.5ml ends with a doe foot applicator.

When using your top coat, you will notice some transference of the lip color to the applicator for the top coat. We recommend wiping the applicator to remove the color before placing it back inside the tube to preserve the purity of the top coat.

*Some settling may occur due to the nature of the formula, so give your Changeling tube a shake before application. “

I also wanted to include the ingredients.

Isododecane, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Beeswax, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E). May contain: Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, Silica, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate.

You can get a duo of them for $10 on their site, which is here!

Here it is on its own and over the shade “lumiere” from colour pop.

I recommend allowing your lip product to dry all the way before applying the top coat. They recommend using it with matte lip sticks. I second that.

On the lips and Over all thoughts:

Here it is applied over Wet n’ Wild’s velvet matte lip crayon in “hickory smoke”.

I absolutely 100% love using this to pop my lower lip and make it look bigger. I use to do this anyway with just gloss, but this looks so much better! I love the lavender shift and and how it transforms lip products into something completely different!

It is not sticky at all, in fact I never notice it is there after application unless I am looking at my lips. It is also pretty long wearing. No, it will not last as long as the lip stick, but it doesn’t disappear after 15 minuets of wear ass I was expecting it to.

For only $10, I think this is a great product to pick up in different shades, I mean it essential doubles your lip wear options!

I am really excited to try more from this brand.
