Boxy Charm October 2016 UN-Boxing!

Hello Everyone!

From the title you can guess what this post is about! We are going to UN-box my October Boxy Charm! For my Ipsy post this month I included a look using the products, but I decided not to do so with the Boxy Charm products, sense they are full size and it will be easier to give the products their own posts.

Let’s stop blabbing and jump into this box.

This months theme is Boxy Bazaar, which I like. I am really in to the whole oddities and out of the ordinary things that the world has to offer.

The first item in the box is the Briogeo Rosarco blow dry perfection & heat protectant creme.  I have tried this before and love it. When I saw the full sized bottle in the box I was really glad. I am going to get a ton of use out of this, I might actually start styling my hair more often now that I have this. ($24 value.)

The next thing in the box is stinking awesome!! The Luxie Eye Blender Brush Pack. I love Luxie brushes and wanted to try more so badly. The brushes are amazing quality, and very cute. I really enjoy that these were in the box, especially 3 of them, it is nice that it was a set rather than just a singular brush. ($36 value!)

The next item is a Star Looks Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Piquant”

This is a super pretty deep mauve/ berry shade. I have worn it a few times and it last quite a while and feels really comfortable. I like blending my Notoriously Morbid Changling Top Coat in “Touch of Magic” in the center of my lower lip, the colors look amazing together. ($19 value.)

Next in the box was the Temptu Shimmer bronzer. This is the only item I am not to excited about right now, but I think I will end up getting in to it in  a few months once it is summer again.

It looks pretty, but awfully warm. I do not have a Temptu system and I am not one for liquid bronzers. I may end up passing this along once I actually try it. ($29.50 value.)

The last item in the box is really cool. It is the Ipy Beauty “Three’s Company” Trio eye shadow. I had never heard of this brand, so I was excited to see what kind of quality the shadows are.

Look how pretty and pigmented it is! I can not wait to use this and review it for y’all. Boxy Charm is really killing it with the eye shadows they have been including in their boxes. I do wish it wasn’t neutral, but I can always buy more from this brand if I like it. ($19 value.)

I love Boxy Charm and they have delivered another great box. I will get use out of all of it but the bronzer (maybe), so 4/5 isn’t bad, especially when the 4 good items are fantastic!

I hope you enjoyed this post! What did you think of Boxy Charm this month? Have ou tried any of these items, were they good? Comment below! Want more B&T? Read this next! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Ipsy Review October 2016!

Hey guys!!

For this months Ipsy I decided to do more of a review, rather than just an un-bagging. At the end of the post I will include a look that I did with the products I got! I may just continue to do Ipsy this way, we will see!

The theme for this month is “Black Magic”, and as usual I am going to start by reviewing the bag itself. Holy crap this is my favorite bag ever! Look how cute it is! I have already put it in my purse to carry my “take along” makeup. The bag is made of good quality material and the little zipper is a ghost. It is perfect!

This month my bag contained a pretty good variety of things.

The first thing I pulled out was the Pur-lisse Daily Lip Nourisher W/ Mango and Shea Butter. I used it to prep my lips this morning and it did a great job! I really enjoy mango, so the smell is really nice. I will still purchase the Glossier Balm Dot Com over this, but I will still use this up.

The second thing I pulled out I have yet to have a chance to try, but I am really excited to use it! Adesse Organic Infused Nail Lacquer “Grand Central”

I reminds me of an oil slick, I think it is going to be perfect for Halloween! The formula does seem thin, so we will have to see how it works out. I am hoping it is as great as I am thinking it will be.

The next product I was really excited to pull out of the bag. I have wanted The Balm Hot Mama! blush for a while, but never purchased it because I wasn’t sure how it would look on my fair skin.

Spoiler alert, it is beautiful! I also think it is going to look amazing as an eye shadow, I will have to update y’all on that one. I think I am going to wait to purchase the full-size still until I use up some of the blushes I already own. I do love the quality and shade though!

I was a little apprehensive when I pulled out the Ciate London Fierce Flicks liner, but it wasn’t a total fail. It is very black and dries down very matte. It does not budge, at all. But, I am not the biggest fan of felt tip liners, and this one doesn’t have quite a percise enough tip to make the perfect “fierce flick”. But, the little mistakes are an easy fix with a q-tip and makeup remover, and I am willing to have to take the extra step for an eye liner that wears this well.

The last item I got in this months bag was the Tresitque Mini Matte Lip Crayon “Florence Fig”. I have gotten a highlighter from this brand before and loved it, so I was pretty excited to try out a lip stick from them.

I love this shade! I think it is going to be great for fall and winter when I don’t want to do a full on deep berry lip. It is a comfortable formula and long wearing. I have worn it with and with out a lip liner under it, it wears a decent amount of time alone, but when layered on top of a liner it is extremely long wearing.

Other Products Used:

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
  • Kat Von D Shade and Light eye palette
  • Pacifica Dream Big mascara
  • Hourglass Mood Light Primer (Sample)
  • Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and Concealer
  • Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer
  • Urban Decay “Booty Call” shadow as a face highlight

Over all I am happy with this bag. It isn’t the best Ipsy bag I have ever gotten as a whole, but I am still really happy with it!

I hope you enjoyed this post! What did you get this month in Ipsy? What do you think of these products? Which format for Ipsy posts do you prefer? Comment below! Want more B&T? Read this next! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Must Have Naturals | Milani Cosmetics

Hey Guys!

I bring you another post in my “use random quads and such series”, of another Milani palette!

This came out the same time as the Earthy Elements palette I did a review on. It has 6 shadows in it, and comes in really cute packaging. It also comes with a brush that is use able, so that is always nice.

As yo10141

As you can see, these shades are really pigmented! There is a nice transition shade, a deep brown that works great in the crease and as a liner, a black that works the same way. A base shade that is a bit creamy, just like the other palette that I am not too fond of. A specialty shade, that is meant ti be a highlight shade, and a shade that is very shimmery and a bronze taupe. I am going to discuss shade by shade my thoughts.

  • The creamy “base ” shade is really pretty, but I hate the texture I tried using it as a base as suggested, and my shadows creased so bad.
  • The matte light brown is my favorite shade in the palette. It is a really great transition shade.
  • The shimmery bronze taupe shade looks beautiful, but I sadly can’t stand it. It applies patchy and the fallout from it is excessive.
  • The matte brown is very nice and pretty pigmented. It applies evenly and lasts a long time.
  • The specialty shade is chunky, it looks pretty in the inner corner for a while, but clumps up really fast.
  • The matte black is amazing! It applies great as a liner, it is super dark and super matte. A good alternative to Urban Decay “Black Out” which is my favorite matte black shadow.

Above is the look I created with the shadows. I love how it turned out, but I am going to say this is not the best natural palette. The only shades that I like from the palette are the mattes, and Wet n’ Wild has a ton of amazing matte shades that I highly recommend picking up as high end alternatives, rather than spending the $9.99 on this palette and only getting the use of a few shades.

However, I really dislike the textures of the shades with shimmer. I feel like this is a very personal opinion, so if you don’t get put off by strange textures and fall out, you can get the palette HERE.

Other Products Used:

  • ELF brow pencil in Taupe
  • Glossier Boy Brow in Blonde
  • L’oreal True Match Foundation
  • Tarte CC Under Eye Corrector
  • Too Faced Born This Way Concealer
  • Colour Pop Liquid Lipstick in “Lumiere 2”
  • Tartest Mascara
  • ELF Nude gel liner

I hope you enjoyed this post! What do you think of the palette? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this out! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Let’s Talk Date Night!

How is everyone?

Today I am bringing you a post, that is quite different for me. I was recently contacted by a community coordinator, who is super sweet, from the company Turo to do a post talking about their car sharing company. My first thought was, “what in the world is car sharing?” After doing some research (browsing their site) I came to discover it is really neat! Basically, on their site, this gem right HERE, You can rent cars from other people while you travel and you can also rent out your car to make extra money. I think this is really cool, and a great way to get around while on a trip, without having to pay the excessive money that you pay at a normal car renting facility. I am most excited about the fact that they have TESLAS!!!!  If you are an avid reader of my blog, than you know that my  significant other is almost done with college in Aero Space Engineering, meaning he has a huge man crush on Elon Musk.

I bet you are wondering how this pertains to a beauty blog, well I’ve got your answer. Renting a fancy car or one you have always wanted to experience would make a fantastic edition to any date night/weekend. Which also means you get to do some fancy date night makeup.

My perfect date would be renting a Tesla and driving to a national park, like Yellow Stone, and exploring nature, having a picnic, then spending the night at a camp ground. I wanted to do a look that was simple, but still had some drama to it, it is a date after all!

The Look:

Per usual I want to apologize for the Selfie quality. Life is hard and so is finding an inexpensive, but good, camera.

  • For my eyes I started off with the Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus eye primer. I have said it before, but I really want to stress how similar it is to the Urban Decay Primer Potion (original) and it cost so much less.
  • I decided to break out my Tarte Tartelette Tease palette. It is very pigmented and really easy to do a natural or dramatic look with.

I used “Whisper” to set my primer, this also acted as my brow bone and inner corner highlight.

For my transition shade I decided to use “Wink”.

I then took the shade “Crush” and applied it to the middle of my lid to my outer corner

I took the shade “First Kiss” after that and put it on the rest of my lid.

To deepen up my crease and outer V I applied “BFF” and buffed it in.

I used the shade “Heart Breaker” as a liner on my upper and lower lash line.

  • For my mascara I used the Benefit Roller Lash. I used a travel size because my intent is to travel with these products, making this mascara perfect. I love how long it makes my lashes look!
  • For my brows I went with my usual ELF brow pencil in “Taupe” and cleaned it up with a NYX concealer. I set them with a clear mascara from Essence.

  • I primed my face with the Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Facial Sun Screen and Primer. This stuff works great and is 3 things in one! Really cuts down the products you need to throw in your makeup bag for the next day, I enjoy that.
  • To prep my lips I decided to use the ECO Lips balm in sweet mint. I usually use my Glossier Balm Dot Com, but wanted something smaller to leave more room in my makeup bag. In case you were wondering the bag pictured at the beginning of the post is the one I would use if I were actually going on this amazing date, just for some reference.
  • To correct my dark circles I used the Tarte CC Under Eye Corrector in light-medium. I love this product, ever since I got it at Ulta I haven’t used another under eye concealer.
  • For my foundation I decided to use the L’oreal True Match in Porcelain. I am trying to use it up, I didn’t want to waste it when I transitioned. The bottle is small and the glass is sturdy. Man, I really wish L’oreal was cruelty free!
  • I set my face with the Pacifica Perfect Lotus Powder. It is smooth, inextencsive, and the super cute tin it is in is small, making it perfect for a little trip like this.
  • For my blush, bronzer and highlighter, I decided to take one thing. The ELF Total Face Palette. I love this palette and use it constantly. It is slim, making it easy to travel with and the shades could also work as eye shadow, cutting down the products you would need even more!
  • The final step is my lips. I wanted to do something natural, but still fall-esque. I thought this would be the perfect time to reach for the NYX High Voltage lipstick in “Flutter Kiss”. For some reason I never talk about this line, but I love it! The formula is long wearing and moisturizing. The tube is slim making it an amazing travel companion.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. I know it is a little different for me, but I thought it was a ton of fun! What is your ideal date? What travel products would you bring? Comment below!! Want more B&T? Read this! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

My Current Night Time Skin Care Routine.

Lately, I have actually been partaking in a night time skin care routine. This is rare for me, because I am the epitome of lazy and skin care routines take time. But, since it has become a bit nippy outside my skin has been drying out and breaking out all over my, this has caused me to get over my laziness and take care of my skin.

In the Shower:

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant:

I some how accumulated a lot of this product in a travel size (which cost $16 at I decided I better start using them and I am glad that I have. It is gentle enough to use every night, but still gets off all my nasty dried, dead skin.

Lush Bubble Gum Lip Scrub:

I have gone through I have no idea how many of these ladies. I love the flavor and the graininess. I also love that it is natural and vegan. It is a bit messy so I prefer to do it in the shower so I don’t have to worry about the left of scrub falling everywhere. It is $10.95 for a 0.8oz jar on

After the Shower:

Yes to Tomatoes detoxifying charcoal facial wipes:

I got these in a Vegan Cuts box and fell in love with them. They smell really nice and I think it is pretty cool that they are black. I use these once I get out of the shower to get any left over gunk off my face. Gross, but it happens. You can get a pack of 30 for $5.99 at They are buy one get one half off right now!

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter:

I love the smell of this stuff!! I also love how soft it makes m skin. I use this every night after I dry off from my shower. Every few nights I also use the corresponding body polish, to really get dead skin off. I have yet to get through my travel size ($4) to even open my full size jar! The full size is $15 on and is also buy one get one half off right now!

Glossier Rose Balm Dot Com:

I have said it 100 times, I LOVE this balm. It makes my lips feel amazing. I apply it a lot through out the day and make sure to apply it before bed. My favorite is the rose. you can get it for $12 on

Ever Clen Facial Toner:

This is something else I got in Vegan Cuts and it is lasting me ages! I like to just mist it over my face, if I skip this step I really do notice my face breaking out much more. As soon as I run out I will be getting more. You can get it, here, on sale for $11.62

Be Fine Food Skin Care Nigh Cream:

I got this in an Ipsy bag and decided to start using it when I noticed how many samples I was starting to hoard. What’s the point of having them if I am not using them, right? I like how thick the formula is and that there is no actual scent to it. I also enjoy that it is a natural product, so I am not slathering a ton of chemicals in to my face, well more than I already do. You can pick it up on, price varies by size.

Wink All Natural Lash and Brow Enhancer:

Yet another Vegan Cuts product! I got this in the summer makeup box, but just recently started using it. Every night I apply it to my lashes and my brows and massage it in a little. It doesn’t irritate my eyes and I have really seen a difference! My lashes are actually starting to look long, I really dig it. You can get it for $40 here!

I am about 90% positive that I also got this in a Vegan Cuts box. My hair is color treated and I use to use a lot of heat on it, so it is pretty damaged. Now, I rarely use heat on it and have stopped color treating it. It is still damaged however, the ends especially. I put this on the ends then comb it through while my hair is still damp. If I is not one of the three nights a week that I wash my hair, I just put it on the ends then brush it through. You can get it, here.  The price varies by size.

Bonus Items:

The first item I do not really consider skin care, but thought it was important to include. The second item I only use once, sometimes twice, a week.

Tom’s of Maine Long Lasting Deodorant “Wild Lavender”:

Some people smell more than others, gross I know. I like to prevent any stink, for Josiah’s benefit by using deodorant at night. This is one I like, but doesn’t quite hold up for me during the day, so I figured I would get some use out of it. You can get it for less than $5 on there is also a code that can get you a discount on your whole order! JUST4YOU will get you $12 off.

Acure Cell Stimulating Facial Mask:

I got this in an Ipsy bag a while ago and have started using it just to use up some samples. I do like it and the fact that it is green. I don’t really notice any difference, but it relaxing to me. I do it on sunday nights, in less than two weeks I will be doing it while watching The Walking Dead!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOO!!! You can get it at price varies by size.

I hope you enjoyed this post! What is your night time skin care routine or some of your fave skin care products? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this out! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette.

Earthly Elements| Milani Cosmetics

Hey guys!

Do you remember when Milani came out with some palettes and they were all over You Tube for like a week or two? Well, if you do, I picked them up and then never messed with them. I figured I would now!

I wanted to start with the one that really gives me fall vibes, because I am incredibly excited that it is fall.

This palette comes with 5 powder shadows and one base shadow that feels more like a cream than a powder. I comes in beautiful gold packaging and includes a little double ended brush, that really isn’t that bad , but I wouldn’t reach for it. You can get it for $9.99, here!

I am going to say, right over the bat, I am very impressed with this for under $10. It is a very use-able palette, and perfect for fall! I think this is a great alternative to some high-end palettes, like the ABH Modern Renaissance palette, if you are just wanting the pop of orange.

From right to left

  • Liner shade that is a bronze plum with a ton of shimmer.
  • Specialty shade that is a high shimmer pink champagne.
  • Metallic deep bronze.
  • Matte orange
  • Matte light brown, almost tan, warm toned.
  • Powder/cream shimmery base. Is a lot like Colour Pop Alchemy, but with bigger glitter chunks.

I would not use the suggested base product for its purpose. I seems like it would make the shadows crease. I really enjoy it in the inner corner, however.

  • I primed my eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I then set that with the shade “Matt Lin” from The Balm Meet Matte Trimony palette. I also used this shadow to blend.
  • I then took the light warm brown and buffed it in to my crease as a transition shade.
  • After that I took the NYX Jumbo Pencil in “Milk” and put it all over my lid. It was the only way I could really get the orange to show up the way I wanted. I have used to orange in the crease before, and it looks amazing with out a white base!
  • On top of that I patted the orange shade all over my lid.
  • I then took the deep bronze shade and used it to deepen up my outer corner and my crease.
  • I made use of the liner shade, as, you guessed it, liner. I buffed it under my lower lash line. Then I took the ELF Make-Up Lock and Seal and dabbed a liner brush in it, then dipped it into the shadow. I then created a wing. I am really loving using shadow as winged liner lately.
  • I took the specialty shade and used it to highlight my brow bone, then highlighted my inner corner with the base shade.

I really do enjoy this palette, especially for its inexpensive price tag! I think it is a fantastic palette to pick up for fall if you are on a budget. However, if you do have say the ABH Modern Ren. palette or maybe even the Lorac pro 3, I would say it is safe to pass on the Milani one.

Other Products Used:

  • ELF brow pencil in “taupe”
  • Glossier Boy Brow “blonde”
  • Tarte Tartest Mascara
  • ELF Gel liner “nude”
  • NYX Stay Matte but Not Flat
  • NYX HD Loose Translucent Powder
  • Benefits’ Hola Bronzer
  • Benefits’ Rockature Blush
  • Makeup Revolution “Golden Lights” highlight
  • Milani lip liner in “Spice”
  • Milani lip stick in “Teddy Bare”.

I hope you enjoyed this post! What is your favorite Milani product? What do you think of this palette or the look? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this out next! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Perfectly Neutral| Sonia Kashuk

You know those dozens of little quads and duos from the drug store that  you have just hanging out in a drawer, because your palettes get all your attention? Well, I have started to hate that. So, I decided to start doing looks with them for all of you, so I can decided which ones I love, hate, etc. I want to mention that this series will not contain any of the popular Maybelline or Cover Girl ones, because they are not cruelty free. I really wish they were though because I am hard core starting to miss those brands. With that intro out of the way, let’s begin.

I am sure you have heard of the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral all matte palette about a million times. After using that for a while, I decided I really didn’t like it. I mean the ELF Mad About Matte palette is like half the price and so much better. But, I still have a ton of Sonia Kashuk palettes sitting around, we are going to discuss the Perfectly Neutral 6 pan palette.

You can purchase it for $14.29 at Target. Does anyone else think that $14.29 is an incredibly random price?

First and foremost I think it is important to mention that not one shade in this palette is 100% matte. Even the two brown shades that look like they could be matte have some shimmer in them.

The formula of the shadows is extremely buttery. They actually remind me a ton of the Lorac shadows, even down to the powderiness. The shades, are very pigmented, aside from the two semi-matte ones, I felt that those took longer to build up. Which isn’t really that bad, I use these mainly for the crease and would prefer to be able to build my crease shades rather then starting off with a  brush loaded with product anyway.

  • I primed my eyes with the Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus ye primer.
  • I took the 1st shade in the 2nd row in to my crease to use as a transition.
  • I took the 2nd shade in the 2nd row and put it in the middle of my lid.
  • After that I took the shade under it and put it on my outer lid.
  • Then I took the 2nd shade in the 1st row and put it on the 1st third of my eye.
  • To deepen it all I took the 1st shade in the last row and buffed it in to my crease and under my lower lash line.
  • To highlight my inner corner and brow bone I used the 1st shade in the little palette.
  • I did a small wing with my Too Faced Liner marker.
  • I decided to try out the Max Factor mascara because I was getting questions about it after it was sent to me. I do not like it. The formula is too wet for me, and the wand has a lack of bristles that does nothing for my lashes. I ended up going over it with my Pacifica Dream Big mascara.

There is my eye look with my makeup all finished!

Other Products Used:

  • Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and Concealer
  • Too Faced Primed and Poreless setting powder
  • ELF Contour Kit
  • Becca Highlighter “opal” (Pressed)
  • Glossier Rose Balm Dot Com

Who needs this?:

If you have a ton of palettes, I would pass on this. It is just a ton of super simple shades. But, it is really nice quality and looks beautiful on the eyes. If you do not have a lot of makeup and have a matte palette, but just want some basic shimmers, I think this would be a fantastic little palette to pick up. I think I am going to start using it to travel, sense it is small and can create a beautiful natural OR dramatic look!

I hope you enjoyed this post! What is your favorite little random palette? Have you done a post like this? Link it below and comment as well! Want more B&T? Check this out! You can also follow me on Instagram and Snap Chat @manda_janette

Notoriously Morbid Changeling Top Coat *Vanishing Cabinet Product Review*

If you read my first VC un-bagging, then you have already heard of this neat product.

Essentially it is a top coat for your lip stick that will make it look iridescent. The specific shade I got “Touch of Magic”, is a VC exclusive, which is cool!

Info from the site:

“Our Changeling Top Coat is hand-formulated and designed to set quickly, creating a shift of color that takes your lip color from ordinary to metallic or mix and match for a multi-chrome effect! We show the Changeling Top Coats paired here with our Mystic Matte Liquid Lipstick in “Rune.” “Siren” is also shown layered over our Mystic Matte in “Arcane.” These will somewhat mattify non-matte lipsticks, leaving the intense color-shifting hue. We’ve tried them with several types of lipsticks and have had varying degrees of success in mattifying them.

Due to popular demand, we have brought back the Changeling’s in the Duowand packaging. The Changeling Top Coats are packaged in a single wand with two 1.5ml ends with a doe foot applicator.

When using your top coat, you will notice some transference of the lip color to the applicator for the top coat. We recommend wiping the applicator to remove the color before placing it back inside the tube to preserve the purity of the top coat.

*Some settling may occur due to the nature of the formula, so give your Changeling tube a shake before application. “

I also wanted to include the ingredients.

Isododecane, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Beeswax, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E). May contain: Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, Silica, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate.

You can get a duo of them for $10 on their site, which is here!

Here it is on its own and over the shade “lumiere” from colour pop.

I recommend allowing your lip product to dry all the way before applying the top coat. They recommend using it with matte lip sticks. I second that.

On the lips and Over all thoughts:

Here it is applied over Wet n’ Wild’s velvet matte lip crayon in “hickory smoke”.

I absolutely 100% love using this to pop my lower lip and make it look bigger. I use to do this anyway with just gloss, but this looks so much better! I love the lavender shift and and how it transforms lip products into something completely different!

It is not sticky at all, in fact I never notice it is there after application unless I am looking at my lips. It is also pretty long wearing. No, it will not last as long as the lip stick, but it doesn’t disappear after 15 minuets of wear ass I was expecting it to.

For only $10, I think this is a great product to pick up in different shades, I mean it essential doubles your lip wear options!

I am really excited to try more from this brand.

I hope you enjoyed this read! What do you think of this product? have you tried anything like it? Comment below! Want more B&T? Look at this! You can also find me on Instagram and Snap Chat as manda_janette

Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette; Is it worth your money?

This review has been long pending. I put off getting this palette for ages! When it first came out, I really wanted it. But after sleeping on it some I thought I would never use it. I never really do a smokey eye.

I recently, as in about a month or so ago, caved. I needed $30 more dollars to hit platinum at Ulta for 2017, so I decided to go ahead and grab this palette. I really like being platinum at Ulta, so I had to keep my standing!

I like this packaging. It has a smokey pattern on the front and is made of substantial plastic with a magnetic closure. The mirror is large and great for using while on the go. My only realy gripe with the packaging is how thick it is. But, it isn’t an eye sore at all so I don’t mind it having to be displayed.

Add on:

With this palette, as with all the other naked palettes, comes a brush. I love the brushes that come with these palettes and actually used the brush from the smokey palette for the look I will be showing you.

Info from the site:

This palette is $54, standard for the Urban Decay palettes.

“The case and brush feature a cool floating smoke effect, with “Naked Smoky” in gunmetal foil. To add to the mysterious vibe, we set the shadow pans in a smoky transparent base. The magnetic closure on the case prevents shadow mishaps in your bag, and the full-size mirror makes it easy to get Naked whenever the urge strikes.
Fill Weight: Eyeshadows: 12 x 1.3 g POIDS NET/NET WT. 12 x 0.05 oz”

You can pick it up, HERE!

The Shadows:

I am going to include the shade descriptions from UD’s website. I am literally the worst person when it comes to describing shades.

High (champagne shimmer w/micro-glitter), Dirtysweet (medium bronze), Radar (metallic taupe w/iridescent micro-glitter), Armor (metallic silver-taupe w/tonal sparkle), Slanted (light metallic gray), Dagger (medium charcoal w/micro-shimmer), Black Market (jet-black satin), Smolder (deep plum-taupe), Password (cool taupe matte), Whiskey (rich brown matte), Combust (soft pink-taupe) and Thirteen (light beige satin).”

The Eye Look:

Perusual, I want to apologize for the picture quality, life is hard and so is finding a cheap and good camera.

  • I primed my eyes for this look with the UD primer potion (original). It seemed fitting.
  • I set that with the shade “combust” using a fluffy brush.
  • I then used the brush included with the palette and buffed “password” into the crease.
  • I then used a flat shader brush and placed “slanted” over most of my lid omitting the outer and very inner parts of my eye.
  • I then placed the shade “black market” on the outer part of my eye and buffed it up into my crease.
  • For the inner corner of my eye I went in with “armor” to add a bit of shine.
  • To smoke out the shadows a bit I took the shade “whiskey” and used the brush included in the palette again and buffed my crease out some more.
  • For my brow bone and very inner corner I used “thirteen” to lighten it all up.
  • Under my eye I used the pencil side of the brush included in the palette, and applied “black market” under my lower lash line.
  • I then used “combust” to soften that up and smoke it out.

I used the Kat Von D liner in “trooper”, The Tartest mascara in “black”, and the ELF crayon liner in “nude”.

I am literally in love with this palette. Ever since I have gotten it I have been reaching for it constantly. I have actually really started to love smokey eye looks! It also has a few great shades that you can use to do super simple natural looks as well. Over all it is an all in one, besides bright colors, palette that I think you can really benefit from rather you do smokey eyes a lot or not. I also think it is a fantastic fall palette for some one who isn’t in the how overly warm fall eye looks tend to be. Throwing “whiskey” in there is what I think really makes it beneficial for fall. “combust” and “thirteen” are also great shades to have on hand. I believe you always need a great nude and a great white shade!

Influenster #PepVoxBox UN-Boxing

Happy first day of October!! My favorite month of the year!
Tonight I am bringing you an Influenster UN-boxing. If you do not know what Influenster is, it is a site where you review products and increase your social impact to get free stuff. I have gotten a couple different boxes from them. If you would like to sign up, Do so here!

Yes, that is an affiliate link, you get to sign up to earn free stuff and it helps me out as well. Which I would really love(:

This box is a back to college theme, which is fantastic for me. As a 20 year old pre-law student I love anything free, especially if it is something I will use up.

Let’s get in to this box.

Pure Ice Shine Gel Polish: In my main picture I have shown you everything I got. I am going to start off with something I have been enjoying already. I got the gel polish in “shock and awesome”, which is a beautiful berry shade. I have been wearing it on my toes and love it! I also got the gel top coat, and I really have noticed that it is making the polish last longer on my toes. I did want to note that the shade takes a couple coats to make it opaque and the formula is streaky. It is under $3 though, so I wasn’t expecting something great.

7th Heaven Exfoliator & Masque: I love face masks and the scent of lemon. This is both! I have not tried this out yet, but if you follow my Snap Chat (manda_janette) you will get to see me do so.

Max Factor Eyeliner and Mascara: If you have didn’t already hear, a small line of Max Factor products have been released in the US. If you also didn’t hear, they are owned by Proctor and Gamble meaning they are not Cruelty Free. I am conflicted of actually trying and reviewing these products of not. If I do not I will end up throwing them in a give away at some point during the holiday season.

Simple Skin Care Facial Cleansing Wipes:I already know I love this product! I threw the small travel pack in my purse. Facial wipes always come in handy.

Land O’ Frost Deli Snackers: This was actually a coupon to get the item for free. I, however, do not eat consume meat, but Josiah does. I am going to let him get some and do my review on them for influenster!  I think it is a little strange that right before I was chosen for this box I got a survey from them on my eating habits and did select that I do not consume meat, but whatever. He will enjoy it.

Kauai Coffee: We both tried these this morning and love them! It is just coffee in a K-cup that has a rich flavor. I put Pumpkin spice creamer in mine and it was amazing. The cups are also biodegradable, so this may be my coffee brand of choice from now on!

Over all: I got some awesome stuff I am already falling in love with! The 3 things I won’t use I have either some one in my house who will or will be included in a give away. I honestly do not think anything free can be a complete miss, so thank you Influenster!

Thank you so much for reading! What do you think of this box? Did you sign up for influenster? Comment below! Want more B&T? Read this next! You can also follow my Instagram and Snap Chat @manda_janette
