May 2017 Beauty Empties

This month I am not going to be doing a video this month, so I am going to try to relay all my thoughts on these products through a post, wish me luck! 😂

Marshmallow Fireside Wall Flower: This scent was really nice and warm. I am trying not to purchase from Bath and body works any longer.

Repurchase: Probably not.

Molly Rose Lip Scrub: I love lip scrubs and I got this one in a vegan Cuts box. I really dislike the packaging of this though. I have tried other products from this small company and I really want to try more!

Repurchase: No, because of the packaging.

Ralph Lauren Tender Romance Sample: I hated this. The smell did not mix well with my body chemistry. Would not purchase.

Smash box Photo Finish Primer: I have a million samples of this primer, and I love it. But, it is really expensive…

Repurchase: Nope, too expensive.

Pacifica Transcendent Concealer Light: This is the lightest shade, but it is sadly too dark for me. It is also pretty oily.

Repurchase: No, it’s much too dark for me.

Men Degree Dry Protection: This is a Josiah empty! He liked it enough I guess. 😂 he did purchase a different one though.

Sexx Bomb bath bomb: I got this at Mel’s Candles and I love it!!! It smells great and made my skin feel amazing.

Essence Clear Mascara: I used this to set my brows, it was alright.

Repurchase: Maybe after I go through the tons of  Brow gel I have now.

Cover girl Clump Crusher Mascara: Another non-cruelty free item down!

Repurchase: Nope, it is not cruelty free.

Odacite black cumin and cajeput serum sample: This sample came in a Petit Vour box. It was nice, but I don’t think I was able to use it enough to form any type of impression of it.

Purchase: Probably not, it is a little pricey.

I actually didn’t use up any of these three products, they were just expired. Would not purchase any of it again..

Proactive products: I didn’t like either of these products. They really irritated my skin. They are so old I do not even remember how I came about owning them.

L’Oréal Smooth intense Cream: This product made my hair really oily, and I was not a big fan of the scent it had.

Tuscan Hills Vanila Almond Sugar Scrub: This was part of a set I got for Christmas from my best friend. It smelt amazing! But, this was just a Gel with what felt like beads in it… no Scrub to it at all.

Repurchase: No, it didn’t do anything.

Pai Rose Hip Serum: I have heard a lot of hype about this Serum, I have a review coming up soon, so I am not going to say anymore!

Ulta Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover Pads: I got these as a freebie. They were perfect for travel!

Purchase: Yes! Awesome product.

Aloepure Time Repair Serum: I got this in a BoxyCharm and it lasted me quite a while. I loved it for day and night.

Repurchase: I have a ton of moisturizer to go through right now, but maybe I will repurchase this one from aloe pure once I make a dent in my back stock.

Herbal Transdermal Deep Pore Mineral Toner: I got this Toner in a Vegan Cuts box and love it! I am so sad it is all gone.

Repurchase: Yes, best toner I have used.

Pocket Back Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin: the smell of this, omg, it is perfect. But, BBW is on my no shop list 😢.

Stink Bug Naturals Tangerine Spice Deodorant: The smell of this is really sweet, but still spicy. Unfortunately, it did not help me keep my underarm odor at bay. But, I have heard there is a transition period of detox that your pits go through when changing to natural deodorant.

Repurchase: Maybe, once I go through the few I have.

BBW Sensual Body Wash: The smell of this soap is delicious. Unfortunately, my skin didn’t like it and it broke me out.

Repurchase: No.

Batiste dry shampoo “bare”: I want to try other dry shampoos. This one is good, I just want to try something new. What is your favorite dry shampoo?

Repurchase: yes, but later down the road.

Dove Dry Spray Deodorant: This was my last non natural Deodorant!!! I’m glad it is gone, I did not like it. I only used it at night because it did literally nothing.

Repurchase: Nope.

Luxe by Mr. Bubble bubble bath: I went through a faze and fell back in love with the Mr. Bubble bubble bath. I bought a ton of stuff from their adult line.

Repurchase: No, I am having too much fun with bath products from small and natural companies.

Studio 34 nail polish remover: Works fine.

Repurchase: if it is the cheapest one when I need a new bottle.

L’Oréal Ever Pure Moisture Shampoo: I got this line from Influenster. It was nice. I have a really itchy scalp, this actually helped.

Repurchase: No, L’Oréal is not cruelty free.

Suave Coconut Conditioner: This is what Josiah was using as a conditioner and I used it as a shave cream.

Repurchase: No, my grandma stick piles shampoo and conditioner, I just use what I am gifted.

Baby wipes: I get these for a dollar and use them to remove swatches. Not much to say about them.

Repurchase: Maybe when I run out of the wipes I’m using now.

Konjac Sponge Co. Sponge: This was probably the best konjac sponge I have used. It was infused with charcoal.

Repurchase: already have!

Briogeo Don’t Dispair Repair Hair Mask: I like this product a lot, and have gone through a ton of samples. I have an old review of it actually!

Purchase: Probably not, there is a cheaper one I like just as much!

Treseme Beautiful Volune Shampoo and Conditioner: I went through some of these samples last month as well. I don’t like this system for my hair type.

Purchase: No.

Living Proof Restore Hair Treatment: I had heard good things about this treatment, but it did nothing for me. Smelled nice though.

Purchase: No.

Epielle Charcoal Sheet Mask: I got a pack of these for $2 at Big Lots. I had some in my Empties last month as well.

Repurchase: Maybe, if I find out the brands CF status.

Yes to Cucumbers Calming Mask: this mask had a really strong chemical smell, and it made my nose super red…

Repurchase: No

Yes to Tomatoes Skin Clearing Mask: I am really enjoying this sheet mask. It works great for hormonal break outs.

Repurchase: Already have.

Ulta Anti Aging Papaya Mask: I enjoyed this mask, it fit really well.

Repurchase: not this specific one.

That’s everything I used up this month!!

What did you use up this month? What is your favorite dry shampoo? Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.

Petit Vour May 2017| Be Bold Be Kind

* Petit Vour is a cruelty free, vegan, and natural beauty box. It retails for $15 per month.

I am really excited that I finally got my May Petit Vour box! It is a nice little treat. It is usually the last subscription box I receive each month.

HAN SkinCare Cosmetics Eyeshadow “Sunset”$13

I have another shadow from HAN and I love it. This one is just as pigmented and buttery as the other. In my opinion, a shade like this makes a great one shadow look.

I love that this box usually includes one cosmetic product a month. It really helps when building a natural makeup collection.

Mullein & Sparrow Facial Mist Toner $8 (Full Size $36)

“Condition and prepare skin for absorption to empower your Skincare ritual. Formulated with organic botanicals to keep skin luminous and supple while supporting homeostasis. To use, lightly mist onto face or into hands and gently press onto the skin.”

I love face mists. They make me feel very relaxed and refreshed. I have really been wanting to try Mullein and Sparrow as well!

Juara Java Plum and Avocado nourishing face masks $6 ( full size $38)

“A nutrient-rich combination of Avocado Oil, Java plum, banana and mango deeply hydrates soothes, and plumps skin, leaving behind a soft, dewy complexion.”

This sounds like the perfect summer mask. I have high hopes for it, I have a hand and nail cream from Juara that I really enjoy.

Aromatherapy Associates Bath and Shower oil $5 ($73 Full Size)

This sounds perfect. After a stressful day of work? The perfect way to end the night. By the way, I have already smelled it and it smells amazing!

Petit Vour killed it this month! I am excited to try every single thing!

Thank you so much for reading, I really hope you loved this post ❤️ what is your favorite natural beauty product?

Pacifica Island Life | Palette Review

If you read my previous post. My May Ipsy unbagging, then you have seen this little palette already.

The Pacifica Island Life palette contains five shimmer shades, and retails for a price I can not find. However, their similar palettes retail for around $14. If you use the code PACLOVE on Ulta.com you can get Pacifica products for 20% off!

Shades from left to right:

  • Skinny Dip
  • Coral Sand
  • Golden
  • Treasure
  • Sandalwood

They are all extremely pigmentedand buttery. They are all also shimmery shades, so I would recommend a companion palette for mattes. I used The Balm Meet Matte Trimony palette

The look:

  1. I used the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer, and set it with the cream shade from the Balm palette
  2. I used the lightest brown from the same palette as my transition shade.
  3. Now into the Pacifica palette! I put Golden all over my lid.
  4. On the outer third of my eye and on my lower lash line I placed Treasure.
  5. To deepen up my outer crease I used Sandalwood.
  6. For my inner corner I decided to go with Coral Sand.
  7. Finally, to high light my Brow bone I used Skinny Dip.

I was very pleased with how my look turned out! I recommend patting all of these shadows onto the eye, instead of sweeping, sense they are all so buttery. You just have to work with them. I personally do prefer some mattes in every look, so this is not an all in one palette for me. But, I do really enjoy having it because it contains stunning neutral shades.

I really do love the brand Pacifica itself. They are a natural, vegan, cruelty free brand, that is not outrageously priced. They seem to always be on sale at Ulta.

Over all 🌴🌴🌴🌴 not five, because you do have to actually work with them, so it takes a little time.

I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you so much for reading! Have you tried any Pacifica eyeshadows? Comment your thoughts below!

Ipsy May 2017 | Your Summer Story Starts Here

*Ipsy is a beauty sampling service that costs $10 per month.

My Ipsy bag for May finally arrived, way late.

Let’s just start with the bag. I am in love. It’s really cute. I am going to have to use it for my everyday makeup bag.

Urban Decay After Glow High Lighter “Sin”

I already own this highlighter, so this one will probably be put into a future giveaway.

Adesse Organic Infused Nail Polish “Surfer Girl”

This polish is really pretty. I have a few other polishes and top coats from this brand, and I like them a lot.

Luxie 660 precision foundation brush

I really enjoy Luxie brushes. I will probably end up using this brush for highlighting. It is just fluffy enough.

Star Looks Pro Luxe Pen – Artist edition

This is one of those gimmicky eye liner stamp things. One end is a star stamp, the other is a liquid liner. Both in black.

I don’t see my self ever using the stamp end. But, I really like star looks liquid liners, so I will probably use the liner end!

Pacifica Island Fire Shadow “quint”

I love almost everything from Pacifica, but I have previously been disappointed by their eye shadows. I do not think that will be the case with this little Island Fire palette!

Look how pigmented the shadows are. And these are shades that I will definitely get use out of.

Even though my Ipsy bag was late, it was still a good bag. I won’t use the highlighter or the stamp side of the liner, but everything else, including the bag, is great!

I hope you enjoyed this post thank you so much for stopping by! What was in your Ipsy bag this month?

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box | May 2017

*This Box cost a little more than $20 a month. All products are vegan, cruelty free and for the majority clean, beauty products. This is my favorite sub box.*

Salis Skincare Black Head Removal Mask $7.50 value

“A natural clay mask made with three simple ingredient to help remove black heads and work towards clear, glowing skin.”

My black heads have been particularly horrendous lately, so this is very welcome.

Luxie Beauty 510 Foundation Brush $20 value

I really love Luxie, so I get really excited every time I see a new one of their brushes in a subscription box! I use a brush like this to apply primer, so I will probably use this for something similar.

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques pressed shadow “Sweet Pea” $14.50 value

I was really excited for this product. But mine arrived broken. I guess I can just press it. I really don’t feel like asking for a new one.

The shade is still really pretty!

Little Moon Essential Clear Mind $3.20 value

“Energizing clear mind aromatherapy mist that inspires alertness and energy”

I really believe essential oils make a difference, for me at least. Clear mind, smells great and will be perfect for days I am stressed and flustered.

Pair’d Beauty Dry Shampoo $6 value

“Organic Dry Shampoo with enticing aromas of sweet cali orange and a hint of eucalyptus.”

You can really smell the eucalyptus. I think this fact will make this Pair’d dry shampoo awesome for my really itchy scalpe. I have never used a try Shampoo that is a liquid.

Nubian Heritage facial cleansing bar $5 value

Gentle African black soap facial cleansing bar that naturally removes impurities without over drying.

I love using cleansing bars after I remove my make up. This one is anti-acne, so that will be nice.

I am really happy with this box! Again, another awesome box for Vegan Cuts.

Boxy Charm May 2017 | Makeup is Art

*Boxy Charm is a subscription service that cost $21 per month*

This months theme was make is art, so it focused on items, that in my unprofessional opinion, would be useful in a kit.

IBY Beauty Highlight and Contour Kit Retails:$40

The powders in this contour kit are very buttery, and have great pigmentation. They actually seem light enough to work for me, but the contour shade do lean a little warm.

Great pigmentation though, I will keep you all updated.

The Brow Gal Convertible Brow “02” Retails: $35

The Brow Gal is a brand I have tried before and love. (How many people do you think will get mad over the “do your face a favor thing”?😂😂😜) This kit is supposed to be for brown hair but I think I can make it work.

They are actually way more pigmented than I thought they would be, so my expectations for this are high.

Tenptu Liquid Glow Retails: $29.50

I am just going to start out by saying, I am not the biggest fan of Liquid highlights. They just seem like so much work, and so much can easily go wrong.

This shade is really pretty though, so I think I have to give it a shot.

The Brow Gal Brow Brush $14.00

Crown Brush Round Contour Brush $24.99

Who can’t use a good Brow Brush and spoolie? The bristles seem to be the perfect stiffness.

As for the round Brush. I have never tried one, but I have wanted to really bad.

Overall, this box was nice. Not my favorite, but I will definitely get use out of everything.

I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you so much for stopping by.❤️❤️

So, I got one of those Ipsy offer sets.

You know how Ipsy has their limited time offers? I finally got one. I can’t recall what it was called and there was literally no packaging slip in the box, for me to refresh my memory. I do remember that it cost me $15 and had something to do with pampering.

The Sea Weed Bath Co. Hydrating Sea Weed Bath: I have never used a product like this, so I am a little worried about it leaving stuff in my tub. I am really to try anything once. It is cruelty free, gluten, SLS, and Paraben free.

Ahava Deadsea Water Mineral Hand Cream: This stuff smells amazing, almost exactly like baby lotion. I have it on my hands right now and they feel fantastic. Into my purse it goes.

Everbelle Calm Balm: This product can be used on your hands, face, hair, lips, and body. It is a great texture, and has a beautiful lavander scent to it.

Not Soap Radio Lemon and Sugar Body Lotion: I have wanted to try a product from this brand for a while, no I finally get to even if t is a baby size. It has a really fresh sweet scent, it is going to be perfect for travel.

Ritual Spa Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel: I have never used a Foaming shower gel before. This “Yogi Flow” is Indian rose and sweet almond oil scented. I am actually pretty excited to try this.

Erbaviva Shaping Oil Phase One: I am not exactly sure how this is supposed to work with the other 3 phases. It is made with organic essential oils of grapefruit, pink pepper, and ginger. If anything I can use it like a toner.

That’s all that was in the set! I am really thrilled to get to th some new body care products, I just wish that I could remember what the set was called!

Fortune Cookie Soap Box | Summer 2017

This seasons theme is “A Pirates Life For Me” do to the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie releasing soon.

Bring Me That Horizon Forutne Cookie Soap

This soap smells amazing and is really pretty. I always feel bad using them because they are so cute. It is scented with sweet cactus pear, desert ghost flowers, and water lilies.

It is sort of a masculine scent.

Monkey Business Whipped Body Cream

I love their whipped body creams, they are so moisturizing!

This product is yellow, and scented with lemon, pineapple, and banana almond cake.

Super summery.

Calypso Soild Foot Scrub

This product isn’t really that soild, but it is super hot in my house. I am the worst at taking care of my feet, so I need this product right now.

It is scented with peach blossoms, juicy berries, precious floral hearts, sugary amber, vanilla musk, and fig.

Parlay Lip Scrub

I really love lip scrubs.

This one is scented with lime and coconut and it’s super strong and gritty. I prefer gritty lip scrubs.

Walk the Plank OCD hand sanitizer

I love these. I am trying to use up all my Bath and body works hand sanitizer, so I can just keep these in my purse.

It is scented with oak aged burbon, Caribbean sugar cane, pometo, dried tobacco, and mandarin zest.

Black Pearl Exfoliating Body Wash

I love anything exfoliating. When I was smelling this soap I could not get much scent from it. Maybe it was just me.

It is scented with pineapple, pink pepper, fresh cuban Tobacco, sensual Suede, and Light notes of peony and jasmine.

Mermaid Tears Shimmering Perfume

I love the scent of this, but hope that a ton of glitter doesn’t come out every time I use it. It’s not my thing.

It is scented with sugar cane and morning dew..

Aqua De Vida facial cleansing oil

I am not to keen on the blue stuff being in this oil, but I am willing to try it out.

It is scented with sweet coconut and spiced rum.

All and all I am really happy with this box! I am considering checking out more soap companies, like witch baby soaps. I also want to find some more candle companies so comment your favorites below!

I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to subscribe and check out my other social media.

Warby Parker Sun Glasses | Summer 2017 Launches!

warby

It is finally Summer time! It’s hot out side, skin is tan, and the sun is shinning!

However, with the now shinning sun, brings harmful rays to your skin- and your eyes.

Did you know that, according to the American Academy of Ophthalmology;

“Eye medical doctors (ophthalmologists) caution us that too much exposure to UV light raises the risks of eye diseases, including cataract, growths on the eye, and cancer

Growths on the eye, such as pterygium, can show up in our teens or twenties, especially in surfers, skiers, fishermen, farmers, or anyone who spends long hours under the mid-day sun or in the UV-intense conditions found near rivers, oceans, and mountains.

Diseases like cataract and eye cancers can take many years to develop, but each time we’re out in the sun without protection we could be adding damage that adds to our risks for these serious disorders. Babies and kids need to wear hats and sunglasses for this very reason. People of all ages should take precautions whenever they are outdoors.”

SOURCE

What a better way to protect your peepers, than with some stunning sunnies? This is where the fantastic brand Warby Parker comes in.

Not, only do I love this brand of their beautiful, wide variety, and great quality of glasses (sun and regular), but their story and goal is amazing. I highly recommend that you check out their story, here.

Target Beauty Box |May 2017

*Not a subscription, $7-$10 a month, keep your eyes out for it each month*

I purchased my first Target Beauty Box last month, there were two so I got both. This month there was only one. It cost $10 and came with 8 product samples!

Nexxus Shampoo and Conditioner

These are foil packet samples, which I am fine with!

Caviar protein complex helps replenish moisture to dry, brittle hair for a mans that’s so soft and smooth.

Acure Pore Minimizing Red Clay Mask

I have tried this before and loved it, so I am glad to have it again!

Moroccan red clay draws out impurities while argan stem cells hydrate and tone for a bright complexion.

Nubian Heritage Coconut and Papaya Bath Bombs

Guys, these smell drop dead amazing!

Dream about a tropical getaway while coconut oil and papaya help naturally hydrate and revitalize skin.

Wet n’ Wild Mega Last Liquid Lip

If you have stuck with my blog a bit, then you know I love this formula.

This shade is stunning.

Vichy Pore Purifying Clay Mask

Another mask, but I love doing masks, so I am not complaining.

White Clay helps remove excess oil, while aloe Vera and mineralizing thermal water hydrates and strengthens skin.

Nexxus Vital 8-in-1 Masque

I like that all the hair care products are from one brand, it’s like getting to try an entire hair system.

Blend of coconut oil, soybean oil and keratin offers intensive treatment to help nourish and improve hair.

Guess Dare for women

This scent reminds me of the smell of magazine pages that had perfume pages in it. It smells good, but does not mix well with my body chemistry.

Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Polish

I already love this stuff, and I was out of it. Excited to have more with out having to purchase from a brand that I am not 100% positive of their cruelty free stance..

That’s it for this months Target Beauty Box! Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. I think this months Box was well worth $10, what do you think??
