Too Faced Melted Latex Liquid Lipstick | Swatches and Review.

I am going to be straight forward. I have not heard anyone mention the Too Faced Melted Latex Liquid Lips, but they were recently on sale at Sephora and Ulta for $10…so I bought the shades that struck my taste. I think these are usually around $18.

The formula is not meant to dry down matte. It is supposed to have the same lasting power of what you normally think of as a liquid lip, but it stays shiny. I am going to be real with you, I am starting to fall of the matte lip train. I am starting to reach for gloss as toppers a ton, so this product seemed like it was going to hit all my wants in one product.

From left to right:

  • Peekaboo
  • Hopeless Romantic
  • I’m Bossy
  • Bite Me

Peekaboo

Peekaboo is a pale pink. It’s looks better in person. I actually really enjoy this shade and I usually don’t do pink pink.

Hopeless Romantic

Hopeless Romantic is a warmer pink. I actually love this shade on me, so I think this is one of my favorites.

I’m Bossy

Y’all, talk about red. In person this is the most legit red. I love it. In fact the ONLY person I have ever heard talk about this line was a friend walking through Sephora who pointed this shade out to me ages ago. Apparently she tried a sample and was in love with the shade. So I had to have it for myself. It makes me think of Christmas. 🎄

Bite Me

Bite me is a deep berry red. I love this sort of shade this time of year.

Over all thoughts:

I really love the lighter shades. They are perfect, not patchy at all. The darker shades are pretty patchy, but I find when I use a liner with them that this issue is remedied. For $10 I think the purchase was worth it, but I can’t see myself purchasing anymore for full price.

I am going to give the over all line 💋💋💋 out of five kisses due to the patchiness. This shouldn’t be happening for a Lip product that cost around $18 (or is it $16?) when not on sale.

Wear test:

This was right after applying “Hopeless Romantic”. I also used a nude Essence lip liner with it, but literally only to line my lips, not fill them in.

Ignore my Foundation break down. This is four hours and one drink

Later. I do find that these break down much faster then a matte lip would, but I expected this. It’s sticker so it’s easier to transfer on to drinks, food, and between your lips. Normally, I would touch up my lips, but for the sake of my post I did not.

I like these, just don’t buy them expecting your glossy lip to last all day long with the Too Faced Melted Latex.

I hope you found this post helpful! What are your thoughts in this product? Comment below!

  1. I’ve also never heard anyone talking about these before even though I know I’ve seen them on the Too Faced and Ulta sites before! This is a really interesting concept though! The closest I’ve seen to it are products that claim to be a “matte lip gloss” so I like that this is actually a legit glossy liquid lip!
