Goddess Provisions Feb 2018| Look for Faeries

I am trying to do things to help my mental health. I am trying to cope with a lot right now. So, I decided it’s time I focus on my spiritual side and self love.

I never really believed in anything besides the calming aspects of nature. After searching some, reading, and learning I’ve come to the conclusion that this is what I have needed to really help myself.

I decided to try out the Goddess Provisions Box. It focuses on crystals, aromatherapy, and different calming and healing things. Everything in the box is Cruelty Free. I do believe it is a bit pricey around $33 a month, but very worth it.

This months mantra: ” Those who don’t believe in Magic will never find it.” -Roald Dahl

Cottagewicks Candles “Faerie Magick “$20

“Lighten up your sacred space with this soy candle made with lavender essential oil and sprinkled with strawberry quarts crystals, turquenite, and herbs.”

This is the most beautiful candle I have ever seen. I almost don’t want to burn it. It smells amazing, I LOVE lavender, and I think it will be a fantastic addition to my night time meditation.

Pacifica Liquid Highlighter “Crystal Moon” $13

“Use this magic mans to apply a touch of faerie dust to your cheekbones, eyelids, and/or collarbones.”

I have wanted to try more from Pacifica’s crystal infused line. I have tried one other of the Liquid highlights, but this shade has more glitter in it.

I think this stark white shade with iridescent glitters will look nice on my fair skin. I have been wanting to get into using more cream products.

Element Botanicals Bath Salts “Faerie Garden” $7

“Add a dash of these botanical salts featuring rosewood and lavender essential oils into your bath for a cleaning ritual.”

Unfortunately, I do not have a bath tub just a standing shower. But, I could use them as a foot soak or take them with me when I travel to use while away.

The scent is great and the bottle is really cute.

Bioluminescence Flower Essence “Enchanted ” $15

“Add 3-4 drops under your tongue, to your favorite beverage, diy skincare creation, or bath go to align with the energy with the nature spirits.”

I haven’t read enough to quite figure out the benefits of this type of thing, but it is intriguing. I do have to say, there is something calming about it. I was expecting it to have a terrible taste, but it didn’t what so ever.

Use the code GODDESS for 20% off your flower essence order.

Lisa Junius Pin $12

I really love pins. My leather jacket is covered in them. I even bought an Ita bag to display them all on.

I think this pin is adorable and it seems to be nicely made.

Superfeast Mushroom Blend $28

“Boost your immune system by adding a dose of this blend of 8 medical mushrooms to your smoothie, juice, hot chocolate, or to a cup of hot water.”

I will be straight forward. I am terrified of trying the product. It sounds quite gross. Maybe I will be able to manipulate it into tasting somewhat tolerable. I have been victim to the Flu epidemic, maybe the mushroom blend will help.

Rose Quartz $2

“This stone emits the vibrations of unconditional love, joy, and emotional healing. Hold it close to your heart to increase your loving feelings towards all beings.”

The crystal had a beautiful light pink hue and is the perfect size to put in my jacket pocket. I like to put it in my pocket and rub my fingers around it Sense it is so soft.

That is all through this months Box! What are your favorite spiritual healing and self love items???

Thank you so much for reading πŸ’œ

Jan & Feb 2018 Beauty Empties | it’s a lot..

I have a ton of empties piled up. I haven’t been in a good place lately, so I have been slacking very badly. I am trying to get better.

Makeup

MAC Fix +: if MAC was Cruelty Free, not selling where testing is required by law. I would 100% repurchase. But, I have heard they are making the change to pull out of these places!

Jordana Fabuliner: I have liked this liquid liner for a long time. Inexpensive and works well. Have repurchased.

Becca Backlight Primer: I loved this Primer. I think I will be purchasing the full size!

Too Faced Sketch Marker: this and the Jordana one are very similar. I think I will just stick with the Jordana one.

Beauty Without Cruelty Mascara: The more I’ve used this mascara the more I have loved it. I would consider repurchasing it again once I get through the ones I have.

Sephora Beauty Amplifier Setting Spray: It worked alright, but the Sephora house brand isn’t cruelty free, so I will not repurchase.

L’OrΓ©al Hydra Perfect Loose Powder: works well as a setting powder, but it isn’t cruelty free. Too bad though, this used to be my favorite powder.

YSL TouchΓ© Eclate: lives up to the hype. But, it sadly isn’t cruelty free so I won’t be repurchasing it.

PΓΌr Blending Sponge: these are the best blending sponges…. will not repurchase.

In shower products

(Please keep in mind my grandma stock piles these kinds of products so i end up with a ton of random brands, can’t tell Granny no!)

Tone Radiant Glow Body Wash: I wish all brands were cruelty free. This body wash is so inexpensive and works so well! But, I will not purchase.

St.Ives Nourish and Soothe Body wash: My Mom picked this out because she thought it would help my eczema. It did soothe it during flair ups. But, I man searching for cruelty free alternatives.

Pantene Sheer Volume Conditioner: Smelled nice and did it’s basic job. Is not cruelty free so I will not repurchase it.

L’OrΓ©al Color Vibrancy Shampoo: I literally have no opinion on this. Will not repurchase.

Garnier Sleek & Shine: I used to love this line before I went cruelty free. It smells nice and works well. To bad the brand ethics aren’t up to par.

Face Masks

SNP Animal Otter Aqua Mask: this Mask was cute, but I don’t remember it doing anything. I don’t think it is cruelty free, so no thank you.

Biobelle #iwokeuplikethis: I actually really liked this mask! I have another and will be doing a full review so stay tuned!

Salis Skincare Blackhead Removal Mask: I got thins in a vegan Cuts box. Unfortunately it didn’t work the few times I tried it. I will not purchase.

Sephora Green Tea Face Mask: I actually loved this mask. A friend got it for me for Christmas! Sephora needs to make their in house brand more ethical πŸ™„ I won’t repurchase it until they do so.

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Detox Eye Patch: Sadly, these did nothing for my eyes. Will not purchase.

Tony Moly Avocado Mask: I don’t really remember this mask so I guess it was too great. Will not repurchase.

Skincare

Belli Anti-Blemish Facial Wash: I love this face wash a will repurchase it! I will probably pick up more from the brand as well.

Wet N’ Wild Micellar Water: I actually really disliked this micellar water, it burned my eyes pretty badly. Will not repurchase.

Soap by Riggs Black Raspberry and Vanilla: I love the formula, I just wasn’t a fan of the scent. Will purchase in different scents.

Box Naturals Rose Wipes: I used the full box but didn’t want to put that in the bin, so I put in an empty packet instead. I think I am going to repurchase the lavender instead of rose. I like the scent better.

Cotton Rounds: I am actually looking to purchase some reusable cotton rounds. Any suggestions?

Ole Henriksen Oil Control Toner and Moisturizer: I love this line. I want to research their cruelty free status more. If they are up to par I will gladly repurchase.

Clairsea Charcoal Exfoliant: I already repurchased! I have talked about his scrub before. I love it!

Random products

Batiste Dry Shampoo Original: I love this Dry Shampoo, but I want to try something new. What is your favorite?

Degree Motion Sense: I started having a reaction to my Schmittds Deodorant:,( I had to grab one quickly. Would not repurchase.

PYT Argon Oil: works great, but the price is a bit high. Will not repurchase.

Aquaphor: I need a better tattoo goo type product. I’m working on my sleeve so I need it. But, don’t want to repurchase this.

Wallflower “Leaves”: I am still slowly working through these. Love the scent but will not repurchase.

Lavender Essential Oil: This one is from Mel’s Candles. I will be repurchasing!

What is your favorite essential oils and incense??

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Feb β€˜18 | Compassionate Beauty

I had a completely different post planned for today, but I feel just terrible. My throat feels like I swallowed knives and my entire body is sore. Needless to say I didn’t feel like putting on any makeup today. But, yesterday my favorite subscription box arrived in the mail! So, I decided to do an unboxing.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a box of 4-5 Cruelty Free and vegan beauty products, I believe it is around $30ish a month.

This months theme is compassionate beauty. The card is covered in hearts. Ya know, because of Valentine’s Day.

Let’s look inside.

Jivi Exfoliating Face Wash “Lemongrass” $12

An all natural Exfoliating face wash. This arrived at the perfect time because I just finished up my current face wash. I will be doing a review on this item. After reading a bit about the company, they offer some fantastic things- to the customer and the community.

Luscious Cosmetics Pout Maker “Perky” $12

This months makeup item is a lip crayon. If I am going to use a more traditional lip stick, it’s probably going to be in a crayon format.

The shade is one I tend to gravitate towards, so I am sure I will get a ton of use out of it.

Derma-E Hydrating Night Cream $7.50

I thought it was so funny I received this product. I just watched a YouTube video and the girl (who I can’t remember) was raving about this night cream. I am very excited to try it.

Śaiva Naturals Relaxing Foot Balm $17.50

I don’t think I have ever used a foot balm. But, I may apply it tonight and pop on some fuzzy socks. Maybe it’ll help me feel relaxed and my muscles won’t hurt as badly. It has a citrusy scent, which smells fantastic.

Art Naturals Konjac Sponge Set $10

I also needed a new facial sponge!! Two sponges will last me a while, so I was very excited to see something that is an essential for me.

$59 Value for only around $30. Great box this month VC!

Have you tried any of the products in this months Box yet?

February β€˜18 BoxyCharm | Galaxy Glow

What is it?: A monthly subscription box with 5-6 usually full sized, sometimes deluxe sample sized, beauty products.

How much is it?: $21 a month

I am always excited when I come home from work and see BoxyCharm in my mail box.

This months theme is Galaxy Glow. Which has nothing to do with Valentine’s Day, and that makes me happy. I also assumed there would be something holographic or strange colored in the box. Apparently in the beauty world that’s what Galaxy means. I like the space version more, but that’s just me.

Let’s open the box!

Naked Cosmetics Holographic Highlighter Palette $39.99

Jumping into the “holographic” stuff right off the bat. I don’t have any neat colored highlights, besides one from Estate Cosmetics. I think I’ll have fun with this. I do love the Naked Cosmetics brand. Naked Cosmetics is Cruelty Free.

The third shade in the first row and the second shade in the second row are a bit rough compared to the other shades. They are all rather pigmented.

Cover FX Shimmer Veil “Amethyst ” $28

I don’t have much from Cover FX, but I have loved everything I have tried. I have heard some great things about the new Shimmer Veils. I must say, I am really intrigued by this sort of eyeshadow, but have no clue how to really use them. Apparently this one can be used anywhere on the face, awesome.

The shade is very pretty! Cover FX is Cruelty Free and have a ton of vegan products!

Use the code FXCharm for 20% off your Cover FX order.

Vintage Cosmetics Smokey Eye Pencil $21

Just a black wooden eye pencil.

Logical Harmony says that this brand is a grey area as far as their Cruelty Free stance goes, so I am just going to pass on this eye pencil.

PΓΌr The Complexion Authority X-Faux Lips Plumping Lip Exfoliator $17

I love lip exfoliators. My lips get very dry very easily, so I exfoliate them most nights. I do prefer this format for them, less messy. The scent is of Shea butter and the formula seems relatively clean! PΓΌr is Cruelty Free!

Crown Pro Trio Brush Set $29.99

These look a lot like the Wet N Wild brushes I love. The brush are extremely soft and the set contains; a concealer brush, a sculpting brush, and an all over setting brush. I will probably use none of them for their intended purpose, but they will all be used. Crown Brush is Cruelty Free, but they do still make natural hair brushes, so take their stance as you may.

That is it for my BC! I am happy with everything, but the eye pencil. But, the fact that there was a brush set makes up for the over priced liner. $125.98 in products for only $21!

Ipsy February β€˜18 | Unzipped

What is it? A monthly beauty bag that contains 4-5 deluxe sample to full size beauty products.

How much does it cost? $10 per month!

The Ipsy February 2018 bag is something I have really been looking forward to. Not just because the products, but because of the messages. The theme of the month is “unzipped ” and is all about body positivity and re-defining the term “sexy”.

I inserted a picture of the card for you to read for your self. It may not come with useful product info, but I really love the positive message.

The bag itself is pretty cute. It’s a dusty pink canvas with black lace. I am going to use this to store things in my purse.

Now, for the bags contents

Eva Nyc Freshen Up Dry Shampoo $5.99 (full size)

I love these little dry shampoos. Perfect for travel. Eva NYC is a Cruelty Free brand, so I can actually use this. I hope I like it, the full size is inexpensive.

Bubble T Macaroon LipBalm $3.66

Where I live the weather is pretty crazy. One day it’s 50 the next it is 17. It’s pretty much hell for lips. This lip balm is made of essential oils, is Cruelty Free, and taste like fruit loops! I have tried it a bit and it makes my lips feel great. The packaging is pretty cute too.

Ofra Liquid Lipstick “Ipsy Unzipped” $19

I really enjoy the formula of Ofra’s liquid lipsticks. I am always happy to add a new one to my collection.

The matte berry shade is stunning and made just for Ipsy.

Estate Dew Me Baked Highlight “After Hours” $10

I reviewed the Estate liquid lip in “shade” a while back. I loved it and I am very glad to see more for the brand- and too see more on the site! I am making an order for their other liquid lip shade and the two other baked highlights.

I think the shade is really pretty. I will definitely be including this gem in some looks. I love finding inexpensive Cruelty Free with quality products.

Bang Beauty Blush “Cheeky” $20

I have a ton of blush, but I keep using the same three. I am going to throw this one in the mix to try and kick that habit.

I don’t own one quite this dark, so I hope it looks good on my fair skin. If not I think it would look nice on my mom. Bang Beauty is Cruelty Free!

That is it for my bag this month. I am very happy. I will and can use everything. Another month with a fully Cruelty Free bag and with almost all full-size items!

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ five hearts Ipsy!

M.Y.O Cosmetic Case | What is it!?

I am forever trying to find the best and most efficient way to transport my makeup while traveling, damn, even the best way to transport it for touch ups.

I hate bulky makeup bags and cleaning up spills, but I live a busy life and don’t always have time to run home after work and before I head to class or out with friends, and I know a ton of you are in the same boat. Ladies and dudes, I may have just found the answer to all of our problems.

The M.Y.O Cosmetic Case!!

The extremely durable hard plastic clutch is made in Canada, by an innovative company led by women ( founded by Suzanne Carter). I am thrilled to be able to help support a women led company, who have developed such a useful product.πŸ–€

The plastic that the case is made of is not only durable, but TSA approved and sustainable! A women led AND environmentally conscious companyπŸ–€πŸ–€.

What does it include?

To make the M.Y.O. Cosmetic Cases even more effective for travel, a few helpful features are included.

  • The gray lining you see above is called a Circlet, this is what prevents spills. This part comes in different colors, but unless it’s my makeup or hair I like to stick to gray or black. This piece is made of medical grade material that is hypoallergenic and recyclable.
  • There are also two magnetic plastic pieces called Style Sticks. You can place them on either side of a lip product or mascara, for example, so they don’t roll around. They are made of the same material the Circlet is.
  • The three containers included are called Beauty Pods. They are meant to hold liquid products like skin care and foundation. I find this extremely effective and helpful. They actually hold quite a bit. The pods are made of recyclable, medical grade material and are washable.
  • The last thing included (besides the awesome mirror) is the double ended brush. The brush is for brows and eyeshadow. I have to say it is extremely soft and fantastic quality. Of course, the brush is Cruelty Free!

Here is just a basic idea of how it looks with a few things inside.

It holds around 15 of the ColourPop single shadows or 6 full-size blushes from ofra.

My full thoughts

The M.Y.O Cosmetic Cases retail for $44.79. While that price is a bit steep, I have been getting so much use out of mine that it is unreal. Right now I have it set up for touch ups, but I am going to be taking it to Cancun with me, it’ll fit everything I need for my few days in paradise! I really want to get a second one.

If you travel or live a busy life style, I really believe you will benefit from the M.Y.O case. More than worth its price.

πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€ 5 out of 5 hearts. Durable, sustainable, and women led.
