What’s Inside a Walmart Beauty Box? | Spring 2020

For $5 a quarter you can get a beauty box from Walmart, full of drugstore beauty samples. I decided to check it out!

Hello Charcoal Infused Tooth Brush

Funny this is, I already have this tooth brush and I love it. I am happy to have a replacement when it is time.

Hello Naturally Whitening Toothpaste “Farm Grown Mint”

I have never tried a tooth paste from Hello, and it’s always fun to try something new. This is also a hefty sample size!

Bioré Rose Quartz and Charcoal Daily Purifying Cleanser

I have never heard of Rose Quartz being in a cleanser, so I am kind of excited to try this. It says it is great for oily skin, deep cleanses, and radiates self love. How cute.

Head & Shoulders Supreme Nourish and Smooth Conditioner

This conditioner, is of course, meant to help the scalp. It is made with Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil. This isn’t a brand I would normally use. But, I’ll give it a try.

Calm Magnesium Supplement

I am drinking this supplement as we speak. It’s sour as heck! Hopefully it helps make me calm. Lord knows I need that.

NYX #thisiseverything Lip Oil “Sheer Sky Blue”

As you can tell from the swatch, the tint doesn’t really show up. Which in this case is a good thing. I’m not sure that this is a product I will really use, but it’s cool that it was included in such an inexpensive box.

Overall thoughts?

I think for $5 this was a pretty cool little box. I may just keep my subscription and see what the next season brings?

Have you ever tried a beauty box from a store?

My First BoxyCharm Premium | Did I waste my money?

I had been toying with the idea of subscribing to premium for a while, and finally decided to jump on it. It’s right around $35 a month and you get 5-6 full sized beauty products.

To begin this post. Apparently my box didn’t meet the minimum price requirement for Boxy Premium, so I was emailed a discount code for the next Boxy Pop up. Which is nice, but I tend to miss the pop ups anyway.

Now, for what I actually got.

Spongellé Salted Rose Mani Pedi Treatment Set

I don’t think this is something I will use. I just get mani pedis done at a salon. But, I have never tried to do my own. So, maybe I will actually crack this open and see how I do.

Sugar Rush Best Bud Lip Butter “Peony”

The formula feels amazing, and it smells so good!! Like vanilla. And that packaging? Precious!!

Now on to the makeup products!!

Milk Beauty lip and Cheek Glow Oil “Flare”

I am not putting this on my cheeks. It seems like a break out waiting to happen. But, I will use it on my lips! I love products like this for the summer time.

Hour Glass Ambient Lighting Blush “Diffused Heat”

This is a product I already own and love. I’m not even mad about getting something I already have. I love this blush and I am more than happy to have a back up.

Now, for some eye makeup!

KVD Ink Well Liner “Lolita”

This is a product I have almost bought a dozen times. I love the ink well liner in Trooper, and think Lolita is such a pretty shade. I am excited to finally have it so I can experiment with different looks!

Smashbox Photo Edit Eyeshadow Quad “Holy Crop”

The packaging is so cool, it looks like a camera lens! This is the perfect on the go, or quick look quad. The formula is buttery and the shades are really pigmented. I am sure I’ll be able to create some beautiful looks with this quad.

Over all thoughts?

I’m not completely disappointed, but I’m not as happy with it as I wanted to be. Hopefully, next month I will receive the correct value. However. I am happy with the products I got, and can’t wait to use many of them.

What was in your BoxyCharm box this month, on any level?

What was inside my Ipsy “Golden Hour” Mystery Bag? | An Un-Bagging

For a limited time Ipsy had a “Golden Hour” Mystery Bundle for $14. I was able to get my hands on it. I figured I would show you all what I received, so you can have a bit of a glimpse of what Ipsy tends to include in these bundles.

Skylar Hydrating Body Lotion “Capri”

I may be incorrect, but don’t two sister own this brand who used to be really big on YouTube?

The scent is beautiful. It is very sweet and citrusy. The formula feels amazing and sinks nicely into the skin.

If they have this scent in a perfume, I may have to purchase it. It is delightful.

Ahava Time to Hydrate Essential Day Moisturizer

I don’t like this moisturizer as much as the previous. The scent is very cosmetic, and the formula is a bit more greasy. It is not stated if this product is meant for face or body. It is supposed to work well for sensitive skin.

Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser

This is a sample that I have been hoping I’d eventually receive. I have heard great things about this cleaners. I love that it is meant to remove makeup and deep clean the skin.

Now for the makeup!

The Balm Auto Balm Blush “Houston”

I love the shade of this blush. I think it is going to be perfect for the spring. The Balms blush formula is fantastic, I highly recommend them.

Il Makiage Eyeliner “Black”

This is a liner I already own and love. I am happy to have a back up of it!

That is all for my mystery bundle. Over all I was pretty happy with it. Some nice products in a cute little bag. A $14 well spent.

Have you purchased any Ipsy bundles?

BoxyCharm Base Box | May 2020

Before we get into the actual box, let’s discuss how bad I wanted the Tarte Micellar Water for whatever reason? Didn’t get it, but now I just have this strong urge to buy it. I mean I am almost out of micellar water.

Anyway, away from my dumb rambles. The base box is $25 a month. You get five beauty products, for the most part full sized items.

My box this month did not contain an info card, and I did not get an email containing one.

Glam Glow Berry Glow Probiotic Recovery Mask

This stuff looks and smells like yogurt. You can either wash off the mask, for tissue off the excess and massage into the skin what remains. I am excited to try it out. I know Glam Glow is rather pricey.

Daily Concepts Shampoo Bar

If you saw my latest Target Beauty Box unboxing, you would know I love shampoo bars. I am happy to get to try this one out. It smells wonderful!

Ayam Dead Sea Mineral & Vitamin C Serum Makeup Remover Wipes

I can always use more makeup removing wipes. I like that there is Vitamin C Serum infused in the wipes. The skin can always use a little extra Vitamin C!

Pretty Vulgar Eyeshadow Primer

Is this brand still sold at Sephora? I feel like I only see it in sub boxes. I like trying out different eye primers, my lids are kind of oily.

Studio Makeup Eyeshadow Palette

Usually I would be excited about receiving a palette, but this is just so boring. It reminds me of a toned down version of Sultry by ABH. I will still be doing a Look with this palette for a future post. But, I may complain the whole time.

Over all thoughts

I am actually pretty happy with everything, but the palette. And I’m sure my mom would actually really like it. So, I’ll get to pass it on to her. Not my favorite box, not the worst.

Target Beauty Box April 2020 | Spring into Clean

The two April beauty boxes are currently still in stock on Targets website. So, of course I had to pick them both up as well.

This box retails for $7. This box just happens to be full of clean beauty products, which I absolutely love!

Pacifica Glowing Makeup Remover Wipes

Pacifica makes awesome makeup remover wipes, so I was happy to receive these. There is coconut water in them though, and my skin tends to dislike coconut. We will see how they work for me.

Acure Resurfacing Overnight Glycolic Treatment

This treatment is meant to refine and resurface the skin, while improving the skins tone and texture.

Shea Moisture Skin Rescue Cream Cleanser

This cleanser contains hemp oil, witch hazel, and vitamin E. All fantastic for the skin. I am excited to test it out.

The Good Stuff Complete Repair Balm

This is a lightweight detangler. I go through detanglers like crazy. I have long have that gets knotted crazy easy. The scent is very light and fresh.

Spring & Vine Tea Tree and Mint Scalp Soothing Shampoo bar

I love shampoo bars! I have only tried the ones from Lush. I am excited to try another companies version. I have eczema on my scalp, so I am sure the tea tree and mint will feel wonderful.

Overall thoughts

$7 very well spent! 5 clean beauty products I am excited to try as well as a $3 off $15 on beauty purchase at Target.
