L’Oréal Age Perfect 4-in-1 Tinted Balm | A first impressions and Wear Test.

I was very excited to try the L’Oréal Age Perfect Tinted Balm because I had heard some great things from YouTubers I really enjoy. So I had to pick it up for myself.

L’Oréal Age Perfect Tinted Balm retails for $12.97 at Walmart.

I picked up the shade 20 Fair. The balm is infused with a firming serum.

At first I thought it was going to be too orange on me.

But I think it actually ended up being a pretty decent color match for my face.

The texture of the balm is extremely creamy and does remind me of how it feels if you run your fingers over a cleansing balm.

The claims are:

1. Skin looks firmer

2. Smooths Lines

3. Conceals imperfections

4. Evens tones

Upon initial application I really enjoyed how the balm looked on my skin. I looked glowy and fresh. I can’t say my face looks firmer though. But I’m assuming that is more so going to happen after frequent use.

4 hours later I noticed my skin started to look more greasy, but not to the point it bothered me. I also noticed that the balm did transfer to my face mask. I also noticed the slightest oxidation.

At the end of the day 11 hours later, as you can see, everything has pretty much broken down and my face turned into an oil slick. I did not do any powdering through out the day, just to see how the balm held up on its own.

Final thoughts:

I think if I powder through out the day or only wear my makeup for 4-6 hours I would be in love with this balm. It is comfortable on the skin, I actually forgot I was wearing face product! I think this will be a go to product once the weather warms up. I am excited to see how my feelings about this balm evolve. I will be sure to do an update post when that happens.

BoxyCharm Premium November 2021

I have no self control and I resubscribed to BoxyCharm. This is the Premium box and I believe the price recently increased so it’s somewhere between $35-$39.

Persona Cosmetics Identity Two Palette $42

This was the item I picked. This palette is beautiful and I think it’s the perfect color story for the fall and winter months. Though I am going to use it all year round.

Every shade is very pigmented and buttery! They are super easy to work with. They really do blend like a dream.

Rodial Blush Drops $50 “Sunset Kiss”

The card says this is a new launch.

The color is buildable and easy to blend out. It really made my skin looked flushed, healthy, and glowing. I really love these liquid blush drops.

Peach & Lily Glass Skin Veil Mist $29

First off, the bottle is very nice. It’s a heavy frosted glass bottle. I wouldn’t travel with it, but it looks nice siting out in my beauty area.

“…calms, refreshes, and hydrates for a radiant lasting glow on bare skin or with makeup. Achieve poreless, luminous, and translucent looking skin with this luxurious mist that features a soothing, antioxidant packed cucumber water base. Instantly deliveres a glass skin finish with hydrating, soothing, and glow getting ingredients. Results build over time to help skin look and feel hydrated, radiant, plump, and bouncy from within.”

On first impression I think this most did good things for my make up. My skin look very glowy. I’m excited to see what it does on bare skin!

Nudeskin by Nudestix Lemon aid Detox and Glow Micro Peel $34

I have not tried this chemical peel yet. It is supposed to be clarifying and detox pores of excess oil, dirt, and pollution while visibly rejuvenating skin tone and texture. This sound like it’s going to be really clarifying and brightening. I have high hopes. I am going to have to give this peel and try and update y’all later!

Riddle Oil Original Roll on $50

The scent of this roll on is AMAZING! I am absolutely in love! It also lasts on the skin a nice long time.

“…amber and musk. This oil naturally creates a signature scent that is unique to you. “

I think this is going to be my new everyday scent.

Trèstique Eye Duo Good Vibes Mascara and Eye Pencil $44

This is a mascara I have gotten before but didn’t try. My mom loves it, so I’m glad I got to try it for myself. It really gave my lashes fantastic length. However, I do not like the little lash curler contraption.

The eyeliner has great staying power. It lasted basically all day in my water line and tight line.

Full face done with products.

I am so happy with this box! It’s an incredible value that came packed full of fantastic products. I am so glad I resubscribed!

An Almost Full Face of Honest Beauty

My classes got cancelled today so I decided to do a full face of Honest Beauty! Well, an almost full face.

Everything Primer Matte $22.99

I started with the Honest Beauty Everything Primer in Matte. I use this primer all the time. It’s a lotiony texture and leaves my skin feeling hydrated, but not looking greasy.

The Everything Cream Foundation in Snow $21.99

This is a foundation I have raved about before and still love it. It can be used with out a concealer because it builds up so easily without looking cakey.

Snow is the perfect match for my light skin and I will continue to use and love it.

Get it Together Eyeshadow Palette $22.99

I have used this palette a few times and it isn’t the best I’ve ever used, but it also isn’t the worst.

None of the shades are particularly creamy and the pigmentation is okay. They do look very pretty on the eyes. I used the first three shades and the cream shade to do more of a romantic look today

Dusk Reflection Illuminizing Glow Powder $19.99

Dusk Reflection is the darker shade and I use it as bronzer. I love this stuff. I use it all the time. It sinks into the skin so well and doesn’t look like too much.

Midnight Reflection Illuminizing Glow Powder $19.99

This is the lighter shade. It’s a great highlight! Not over the top, not to shimmery. It just looks like the light is hitting your face perfectly.

Cremé Cheek Blush in Rose Pink $12.99

I use this blush all the time. It sinks nicely into the skin and I love that it makes me look slightly sunburnt even though I never go outside.

It is a beautiful rosey color and works well on my skin tone.

Lip Crayon in Sheer Rose $12.99

I tend to reach for this lip crayon on no makeup days. It’s comfortable and gives your lips and really nice kiss of color!

I really love how this look turned out! I highly recommend checking out everything! Maybe not the eyeshadow palette, but it does create pretty looks.

ELF Bite Sized Shadow in Pumpkin Pie

I have had a few of these quads just sitting around. I haven’t really been playing with makeup, but this morning I was watching Tati videos and got inspired. So I thought, “ let’s do an inexpensive fall look.”

This quad retails for only $3!!! Here ! Let’s get into swatches and the super quick and easy look.

My first comment is I wish the matte shades had one that was a bit more orange toned, but the mattes are still super pretty.

The mattes don’t swatch the best, but they do work very well. The metallics on the other hand swatch like a dream and work just as well.

I used a fluffy blending brush and used the lightest matte and went all through the crease. I used a more tapered blending brush and used the darker matte on the outer corner. On the outer portion of my lid I used the darker metallic and then the lighter one on the rest of my lid.

I am in love with the look that came out of this quad! Simple easy, so cheap and perfect for fall. Now I want every single one of the bite sized quads and no one will stop me from getting them. I feel an ELF hall coming on!!

Which bite sized quad is your favorite?

Products I have been using on the daily | Summer 2020

This summer has been sweltering. So I set out to find a low effort routine, that handles well under heat. I think I found it for myself! And it is surprisingly full of powder products.

Base

After my skin care, I start by priming. I have been loving the Pür Cosmetics 4 in 1 correcting primer $33. It is moisturizing and sinks quickly into the skin. It has a nice light scent. It really helps to calm my skin down, and I do find it helps reduce redness.

My next step is concealing. I really love the Organic Skin Co. Hide and Seek Concealer in the shade Porcelain ($18 for the refill, magnetic pod). It doesn’t crease under the eyes and does a wonderful job at covering up blemishes. I find it blends in best using your fingers to really warm up the product.

I have been loving powder foundations specifically the Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation in China Doll $22. It gives a brightened and smooth look to the skin, and does a great job at covering up any remaining discoloration.

Colored Cosmetics

For bronzer I have been in love with the W3ll People Bio Baked Bronzer in Natural Tan $24.99. It gives a lovely sun kissed tan look to the skin. I also love packing it all over my lid and buffing it into my crease and under the eye, for a super easy, sultry eye look!

The highlighter I have been obsessed with is PYT Radiant Powder Highlighter in Backstage Pass $22. It gives a very luminous look to the skin. I also pop this under my brow bone and in the inner corner of my eyes, to complete that super easy eye look.

I have found my new all time favorite blush, and I can’t stop using it! The Lily Lolo Pressed Blush in Tickled Pink $20. This blush gives my cheeks a wind flushed look, while providing luminosity.

For the lips I have constantly been reaching for the Axiology Natural Lip Crayon in the shade Valour $26. For a lip crayon, it is rather long lasting. It is also not drying on the lips at all, even though it is matte. The crayon shape to the product makes reapplication through out the day a breeze!

Please ignore my red eye, I tried the Tarte Big Ego mascara, and I don’t think my left eye is okay with it.

Look at that highlighter!!

I hope you enjoyed reading about the products I am currently loving!

Midas Cosmetics Decaf Chocolate Raspberry Quad

Today, we are doing a little look and review with the Midas Cosmetics Decaf Chocolate Raspberry Quad. This quad retails for $12, though it is currently sold out. However, I still wanted to give it a little attention.

You get 3 mattes and a shimmer. All pinky berry shades.

  • Whole Bean- A pink matte
  • Soy Milk- A matte pink-berry
  • Drip- A shimmery Pink
  • Roasted- A deeper berry matte

For some reason the shades are showing up a bit more orange in the swatches than they actually are.

  • I primed my eyes and set it with a matte cream shadow.
  • I used a fluffy brush and worked Whole Bean into my crease and a bit on my lid.
  • I used a more tapered blending brush to work Soy Milk just into my crease.
  • I used a shaded brush to place Roasted on my outer corner and crease.
  • I placed Drip over the rest of my lid.

  • I used a more pointed pencil brush to place Roasted close to my lash line.
  • I buffed that out with a mixture of Soy Milk and Whole Bean.
  • I popped a random highlighter in my inner corner.

I am in love with this little quad and have been getting a ton of use out of it. $12 very well spent!

The formula is very buttery and the pigmentation is top notch.

I highly recommend keeping your eye out for this little guy!

A full face of makeup I am panning | I let the music guide the look

I have started following a lot of panning groups on Reddit ( u/mrsmandreedus) and decided to start my own project pan.

I will not solely use these products, but for work, and when I need a quick look. These are the products I will be reaching for.

I decided it would be fun to do a full face for y’all with the products, but I decided to add a twist. I listened to the “Sad Covers” play list on Spotify, and let the music help guide the look! Let’s just say, it turned out grungy.

Base products

For my primer I am using up the last little bit of my last Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. I love this primer, I just have so many and need to use them up.

For my concealer I am scraping out the last bits of my Tarte Shape Tape in Fair. This is my favorite concealer and I will repurchase it once this one is gone.

For my foundation I am trying to finish the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation in F1. I am not 100% on how I really feel about this foundation. Some days I love how it looks, but othersI HATE it.

The powder I am trying to pan is the Elf Tone Correcting Powder in Cool. I enjoy this powder, but it doesn’t do enough color correction for me to repurchase it. It does set well though.

Face color products

For my blush and bronzer I am using up the ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer in Fiji Matte. I have gone through a few of these over the years. As you can see the bronzer is pretty much done for. I will probably be repurchasing this guy.

The highlighter I am trying to pan is Citrine from Jouer. I love this highlight and don’t want to see it go. But, I dropped it once and keep having to repress it. So I want to use it to get it out of the way. I probably won’t repurchase because I do have so many similar highlighters.

Brows

The pencil I am trying to use up is from Winky Luxe. I have had it so long that the packing design has rubbed away. It is a decent pencil, but nothing special.

For my brow gel, I am using up The Brow Gal Instant tinted brow gel in Brown 02. I actually really like this product. It really helps to make my brows look full and natural. I have another one to use up after this one. Then I will probably repurchase.

Eyeshadow

The primer I am trying to pan is the MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ocher. This stuff last forever. It works great, but it isn’t something I would spend the money on again.

The eyeshadow palette I am hoping to pan is the ABH Modern Renaissance palette. This is my all time favorite eyeshadow palette. If I pan a decent amount of it I will repurchase.

Eyeliner

For my water and tight line, I am trying to finish is the Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Black. I love this liner. I won’t repurchase it though, because I have so many black liners.

For liquid liner, I am trying to pan the never ending Revolution Renaissance Flick liner in Black. I really love this liner and will be repurchasing it. Even though I have like 15 black liquid liners, but whatever.

Mascara

I always use two mascaras at a time. It’s a weird habit, but I have always done it.

The first one I am trying to use up is Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express in Black. It’s an okay mascara, but nothing I would repurchase.

The second mascara I am trying to use up is the Tarte Big Ego mascara. To be honest, I was let down by this mascara. I usually love the Mascaras from Tarte, but this one is leaving much to be desired.

Lips

I have almost panned the KVD Liquid Lip and Lip Liner in Lolita. This is my go to lip shade and I will be repurchasing.

Setting Spray

For setting spray I am almost done with my second to last Mac Fix Plus. I actually do really like this stuff. However, I have others sprays that work just as well, for a lower price. As of right now, I probably will not repurchase.

The Look

What is a product you are trying to use up?

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it! 🐤

ELF Rose Gold-Sunset | A review and a look

Hello there!

It has been a little while since I have done a palette review. I thought, why not start up again with something affordable!

The ELF Rose Gold – Sunset eyeshadow palette retails for $10. See ELFs’ website.

This eyeshadow palette is cruelty free!

This is a warm palette, as the name would suggest. You get 10 shadows

Swatches

The shadows are rather powdery, so expect fall out during application. The formula feels very smooth.

The metallic shades all swatched beautifully. For the most parts, the mattes didn’t not appear too impressive during swatching.

The Look

I would normally walk you through the look, however; these shadows do not have names. Making that process a little complicated. So here is an example of a look you can create with this palette.

Over all thoughts

I had a bit of a hard time working with the palette, because the shadows tended to blend away to nothing. I got them as built up as I could, and thought the look turned out okay.

For me, this eyeshadow palette is a miss. However, if you like quick super natural looks, I think that you may really enjoy this palette.

But, don’t take my word for it. Try it for yourself!

What is your favorite ELF product?

Thank you for reading 🦐
