Petit Vour Unboxing March 2023

The Petit Vour box is $15 a month and contains clean and vegan beauty products (4-5).

Fit Glow Beauty Plum Lash Primer $28

“A lash conditioning primer that instantly coats your lashes with superfood ingredients for fuller, thicker and stronger lashes. The plum hued formula delivers clump free volumizing lift…”

I’ve wanted to try a lash primer, so this is perfect!

Juice Beauty Prebiotix Instant Flash Facial $10

“ A facial, exfoliating mask and cleanser all in one.” I plan on trying this in all the different ways you can use it, lord knows my skin needs it.

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Moroccan Beauty Oil $21

This is delivers dermal vitality, uplifts tone, and deeply moisturizers. I am really weary of oils on my face. My skin jumps from oily to dry so fast, and I’m afraid using oils will make my breakouts even worse. I may pass this along to a friend.

Goldfadden MD Needle-less Line Smoothing Concentrate $15

I got two! So I may give one to my mom. It’s supposed to be a non-invasive solution to prevent and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

That is it for my Petit Vour box! What is your favorite vegan skincare item? Comment below!

However, I have missed blogging and Instagraming so much! So I made it my New Year’s resolution to restart and revamp my blog and Instagram.

Be on the look out for new posts from me.

BoxyCharm Premium March 2022 Un-Boxing

BoxyCharm Premium retails for $38 a month and comes with five-six full sized makeup and beauty products.

Let’s dig into this box! I’ve got a busy day today, but I still wanted to get this post up sense it’s been a few days since my last post.

Somme Institute Transport Exfoliating Glycolic Acid Pads $65

This is a new brand to me. “Powered by MDT5, features saturated soft cotton pads designed to help improve skin tone, texture, and clarity, and an 8% buffered AHA to gently exfoliate dead cells on skin’s surface.”

Sounds good, but we will see how it goes.

Grace & Stella Everything Is Better In Pink Collagen Boosting Eye Masks $24.00

I feel like I got another box of eye masks in BoxyCharm not all that long ago. I will give them a try and see if they help my under eyes at all, but I have yet to find an eye mask that I like.

Keys Soulcare Skin Transformation Cream Fragrance Free W/ Bakuchiol $30

I have another box full of Keys products and I am excited to give them all a try. I have tried the Skin Transformation Cream and it feels so nice on the skin. It sinks in easy and makes it super soft.

Ciatè London Dewy Skin Vitamin C Glass Glow Primer $32

This will be my first time trying a primer that makes glass skin claims. To be honest, I don’t even know what glass skin is. But, I will give to primer a go and see how it affects the look and wear of my makeup.

Āthr Beauty The Big Bang Mascara $28

“The ultimate lash maximizing, black Diamond infused mascara that truly does it all for out of this world length, volume, curl, and definition.”

We will see about all those claims. The brush has short natural bristles and doesn’t look like it will add much volume, maybe length though.

Honest Beauty Magic Beauty Balm Stick $14.99

“ A multitasking balm stick that soothes and softens dry skin, while also creating a luminizing glow. Made with a blend of fruits and botanicals. Works on all skin types.”

*** please ignore how rough my hand looks. I’m two spots Carl got me and the bruise is from getting an IV in the ER

The balm gives a really pretty almost lit from with in look and I’m definitely going to be using it as a highlighter.

That’s my box. It’s pretty skincare heavy I think, but I’m okay with that. I’ve been on a skincare kick lately.

L’Oréal Age Perfect 4-in-1 Tinted Balm | A first impressions and Wear Test.

I was very excited to try the L’Oréal Age Perfect Tinted Balm because I had heard some great things from YouTubers I really enjoy. So I had to pick it up for myself.

L’Oréal Age Perfect Tinted Balm retails for $12.97 at Walmart.

I picked up the shade 20 Fair. The balm is infused with a firming serum.

At first I thought it was going to be too orange on me.

But I think it actually ended up being a pretty decent color match for my face.

The texture of the balm is extremely creamy and does remind me of how it feels if you run your fingers over a cleansing balm.

The claims are:

1. Skin looks firmer

2. Smooths Lines

3. Conceals imperfections

4. Evens tones

Upon initial application I really enjoyed how the balm looked on my skin. I looked glowy and fresh. I can’t say my face looks firmer though. But I’m assuming that is more so going to happen after frequent use.

4 hours later I noticed my skin started to look more greasy, but not to the point it bothered me. I also noticed that the balm did transfer to my face mask. I also noticed the slightest oxidation.

At the end of the day 11 hours later, as you can see, everything has pretty much broken down and my face turned into an oil slick. I did not do any powdering through out the day, just to see how the balm held up on its own.

Final thoughts:

I think if I powder through out the day or only wear my makeup for 4-6 hours I would be in love with this balm. It is comfortable on the skin, I actually forgot I was wearing face product! I think this will be a go to product once the weather warms up. I am excited to see how my feelings about this balm evolve. I will be sure to do an update post when that happens.

My AM *Current* Skincare Routine

Skincare is SUPER important. It helps your makeup lay better, it keeps your skin healthy and fresh, and certain components can protect your skin from damage.

Skincare is very personal. What works for me might not work for you. But, I thought I’d share my current AM skincare routine with you all!

I have combination and acne prone skin. I am also paying attention to anti-aging products now that I’m 26.

Toner and Facial Mist

Byroe Bitter Green Essence Toner $95

The only reason I have this product is because I received it in a BoxyCharm. $95 is way more than I would ever spend on a toner when the drugstore has some great ones. This toner has left my skin feeling more hydrated and my breakouts have decreased since I have been using it. However, I don’t think this is a staple in my routine and I will be purchasing an ELF toner once this one is finished.

St. Ives Facial Mist $5.99

I got this mist from influenster. I couldn’t find the orange fragrance to link, so I linked the lavender instead. I’m sure it’s lovely too and I might need to purchase it.

First off, this mist seems so good and it really helps to wake me up in the morning. I heard somewhere that using a facial mist helps to prep your skin for the rest of your skin care routine. I’m not sure if that’s true, but I have really enjoyed the addition of a face mist into my routine.

Eye Cream

Murad Renewing Eye Cream $82

This is another product I only have because of BoxyCharm. Thanks to BoxyCharm I am stocked with high end eye creams.

I have really enjoyed this eye cream. It has definitely reduced my dark circles and has helped a lot with puffiness.

Serum

Kypris Antioxidant Dew $90

Another BoxyCharm item! I have no idea my routine was so pricey!

I really like this serum. It leaves my skin feeling very hydrated and gives it a beautiful glow. I will miss it when it’s gone. There’s no way I’m paying $90 for it.

Moisturizer and Sunscreen

Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream $48

This is my second bottle of the atmosphere protection cream. Both came from subscription boxes. I really like having the added protection from pollution. I think this is a product I will repurchase. I like the protection and think it’s a great moisturizer. It claims to be for normal, dry and combination skin.

Tula Protect and Glow SPF 30 $36

Another BoxyCharm product! I would like to thank BoxyCharm for providing my skincare routine.

This is a nice SPF. It does give the skin a nice glow and it lays very well under makeup. It is lightly tinted yellow so it avoids the white cast.

Lip Care

ELF Lip Exfoliator Brown Sugar $3.20

My favorite lip exfoliator is currently on sale on the ELF website for $3.20! I have been using this product for years and I will always use it. It is the best and easiest to use lip exfoliator and it’s so affordable!

I couldn’t find my lip balms to link them because they are random ones from Ipsy. They work fine, but any lip balm or chapstick will do.

That’s my AM Skincare routine!

My Day Time Skin Care Routine | Summer 2020

I have a combination skin type. Oily in the Tzone, dry everywhere else. My skin is pretty acneic. I think I have found a great summer, morning skincare routine for me, and I wanted to share it with you!

Pacifica Coconut Water Micellar Cleansing Tonic

Every morning I start by using a face halo and a Micellar water. I know I should really wash my face, but I’m lazy in that department. What can I say? It cleanses well and leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

ELF Keep Your Balance Toner

This isn’t my favorite toner, due to the scent. It reminds me of tequila. But! It does help balance out my skin, and has improved my acne, thanks to the witch hazel.

Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion

This moisturizer is meant for acne prone skin, and it is so helpful! I have just started using this and I have already seen an improvement in my acne. It sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling.

Kypris Antioxidant Dew

This serum is fantastic! It has vitamin C that helps brighten the skin and even out skin tone. It also includes algae, that has antioxidant properties, which is also very helpful to the skin- especially for acne.

Murad Renewing Eye Cream

I am 24, and it’s never too early to start trying to tackle those fine lines and wrinkles. But for now, I find that this eye cream is great for dark circles and puffiness. However, it has a strong scent of alcohol, so that is not one I will not be purchasing again.

Blissoma Photonic Light Shifting Solution SPF 25

This is my favorite facial SPF. It is more of a skin tone, so there is no white cast. It also has antioxidants and vitamins that are great for the skin.

I finally used some of my sample packets!

I finally got around to using two of my foil sample packets. Ya know, the free sample with your purchase kind of thing?

Let’s see how much a single use sample can really affect my opinion on a product.

Fourth Ray Beauty AM to the PM Gel Cleanser

This gel cleanser is from ColourPop’s sister brand. This is also the first time I have ever tried a Fourth Ray product.

The cleanser has a pleasant scent. It foams up nicely, and did a lovely job at breaking down left over makeup and grime.

Would I purchase? Yes! Once I get through all the face washes I have acquired, I will purchase this one.

Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask

I enjoy one use mask samples. This mask only has to stay on for ten minuets, then you just wash it off.

There was no over whelming scent. I did notice that the pores around my nose are now a bit clearer.

Would I purchase? No, the Yes to Tomatoes mud mask is the exact same thing, and I think it works better.

That is it for my little sample review

What is a sample you have that you are excited to try?

A Skin Care Favorite | Wander Beauty Lift Off Purifying and Brightening Peel Off Mask

Has I have mentioned, way too much, my motivation has been non-existent. While it is starting to come back, at least half the days out of the week brushing my hair alone feels like the hardest thing in the world.

I suffer from Bi-polar disorder, PTSD, Boarder line Personality Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety. Sometimes it is too much. I shut down. I disassociate. I lock myself away. I make myself go to work, so everything else is too daunting. It’s too much stimulation and interaction.

But, a twinge will hit me- I need to do something to help. I need to try. And my favorite simple way to at least make myself feel like I tried is peel off face masks.

You smooth it on your face and then in 30 minuets, or once try, you just peel it off.

But, there are a few reasons why the Wander Beauty Lift Off Peel Off Mask is my favorite.

Let’s just start with the most basic thing about this product. How it looks

It’s a shiny rose gold. Just looking at it makes me feel, I suppose more at peace in a sense? I am a very visual person. Which is why I love makeup SO MUCH.

Another thing I really like about the Lift Off Mask is the ingredients that it does not contain.

  • Mineral oils
  • Parabens
  • Phthalates
  • Synthetic Fragrance
  • Gluten

This Mask is also cruelty free and vegan!

But, do the claims and $34 price tag hold up?

Yes!

After use my over all complexion looks and feel better. My skin has a glow to it.

This Mask also draws acne and black heads to a head. Place and acne treatment on them after use of the mask and they clear up like that.

It is crazy to me what something so simple as a face mask can do for my over all mental health, even if it is only for a little bit.

What is your current favorite face mask?

Lavish Bath Box March 2018 | UnBoxing

I promise I am trying to get back to a normal posting schedule as life is starting to normalize again.

As I have moved, I finally have a bath tub again. To celebrate, I subscribed to the Lavish Bath Box!

Lavish bath box is around $30 a month and you get 5-7 bath items, and they seem to all be from indie brands!

You’re the Bomb Confetti Pop Cait + Co

This bomb is scented with coconut water and kiwi. Perfect for this new summer weather!

Apparently you just fill the tub back then push this like a push pop into the water.

Cupcake Frosting Whipped Soap Leebrick

This is a fluffy butter cream frosting scented whipped soap.

It’s purple and smells JUST LIKE frosting! I can’t wait to use this stuff.

Flirty Bubble Bar Zeep

This bubble bar is scented with apple, lily, bergamot, citrus, and amber.

It smells amazing. I hope it makes a ton of cute pink bubbles.

Third Times the Charm Bathbomb Luxury

Wellness

To celebrate Lavish’s third birthday we got a hot pink and gold glitter covered bath bomb. It is scented with sparkling champagne, crystal peonies, and almond creme on a base of amber, sandalwood, and musk.

Let me tell you, it smells amazing. I am really excited to use this bomb and see what it does to my bath water.

Birthday Cake Epsom Soak Feeling Smitten

An epsom soak sounds so relaxing after the long day I’ve had.

This soak is a mixture of Dead Sea salt, epsom salt, coconut oil and scented with sweet vanilla cake.

Lavish x Ambrosia Hand Soap Ambrosia Soap Co.

The last product is hand soap, which we can never have enough of in our house.

This foaming hand soap smells like lemons and gives your hands a really nice clean. I have been using it in the kitchen.

Over all, I am really happy that I subscribed to this box and can not wait to see what next month brings!

My evening Skin Care Routine | Winter 2018 Cruelty Free!

Skin care is an important step in any beauty routine, and it is very individualized.

My skin is quite strange. It is very sensitive, acne prone, and I have some dry patches, but my t zone is very oily.

I start off my routine by removing my makeup, if I have no makeup on, I wipe off any grime from the day.

My favorite wipes are the C’est Moi gentle makeup removing wipes. There is a lot of product on the wipes, so one wipe removes a ton of product.

The ingredients of the wipes are clean, and they wipes them selves are biodegradable, which is fantastic!

You can get them at Target for only $9.99!!

Washing.

After this I do wash my face. I am back to using the Osea Ocean Cleanser. It is a bit pricey, but I really do see it improve my break outs and balance my skin some. Unfortunately, I do break a skin care rule and wash my face in the shower. Product not pictures, because it is wet.

Toner

I just spray the Glossier Rose Water all over my face. This changes a ton, and it really does just depend on what I have in my arsenal on which toner I am using. I haven’t really found one that is a game changer for me.

Serum

Zaman Sleeping Beauty Black Cumin Seed Illuminating Serum

At first I thought this was going to be some over priced non-sense. As it retails on their site Here, for $80. But, after a few weeks of use I’m in love. I can see a giant difference in my skin the day after use. My skin is smoother, so my makeup looks much better, with a smoother base to lay on. If I don’t use it the night before my skin seems lack luster. Now I don’t feel like my best self without it!

All you need is one pump, if that, so the 1 Fl Oz does last a while. It is also free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and animal cruelty!

Moisturizer

Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream

I usually put this on before my serum and let it sink in. I also use this every morning. It is meant to moisturize skin and protect my environmental stressors. I have noticed a decrease in breaks since I have start using this product twice daily.

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Eye Revive Contour Gel

I haven’t noticed any fine lines going away, but my dark circles are lighter. I have just started using this product, so this is more so a pre review.

I do mask twice a week, sheet or normal mask, but I am going to save that for another post so this one isn’t a mile long.

What are some of the products in your night time skin are routine?
