Ipsy March 2023

Ipsy is around $11 a month for 5 deluxe sample, sometimes full sized beauty products.

REN Clean Skincare Evercalm Barrier Support Antioxidant Moisturizer full-size $50

I have another moisturizer from REN that I really like, so I’m excited to try this one. I like having these deluxe sized samples of skincare products to really test stuff out.

Beautaniq Beauty Caffeine Eye Cream $18

I have been wanting an eye cream with caffeine in it, I hope this one is a good one. It also has Hyaluronic acid and green tea in it.

Shaina B Miami Setting Brush $5

We all know I love getting makeup brushes in these subscription boxes, but I have really been trying to pair down my collection, so I may pass this along.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel $22 full sized

I have never needed to purchase a full size of this product. These minis last ages and I always seem to get a new one when my current one is finished. Happy to have another.

Give Them LaLa Mini Bronzer in Bora Bora $26 full sized

I like the tone of this bronzer and I like that it isn’t matte. It’ll be perfect for the upcoming summer months!

That is it for my Ipsy bag! What was in yours? Comment below!

AIA Beauty Bundle April 2022

The American Influencer Beauty Bundle retails for $38 a month and contains an assortment of products from a different beauty brand each month.

This months featured brand is NudeStix!

Citrus-C Mask and Daily Moisturizer $38

This moisturizer is meant to be a hydrating moisturizer, sleeping mask, and makeup primer all in one. I am interested to see how it would work as a primer for me, but I also want to just use it as a moisturizer. It is supposed to improve elasticity and tone, and renew skin texture for soft, smooth, hydrated and glowing skin.

Lash Lengthening Mascara $28

Now, I’ve said this before, but I prefer more voluminizing mascaras. I am going to give this one a try but my hopes aren’t too high. The formula seems pretty wet and the wand is rather basic.

Nudies Bronze In Sun kissed $34

I have been wanting to try some of the NudeStixs blushes and bronzers, so I am excited to give this product a try. It’s a nice shade and it blends out easily. I prefer more cream products during the warmer months, so this arrived at a good time.

Magnetic Matte Lip in Boho $26

I love this shade! I think I am going to get a lot of use out of it. In fact, it is already in my everyday makeup drawer.

Magnetic Eye Color in Dew WAP $26

I love shadow sticks! I have this product in a few other shades and I really enjoy it. I’m happy to have another. This shade would also work great as a highlight. I am going to be reaching for it a lot to highlight my inner corner. That’s for sure.

This months box was great! NudeStixs is a brand I’m really interested in, so it’ll be fun to try more products. What is your favorite NudeStixs product? Which product are you most interested in? Comment below!

Bronzer Declutter | I Tried Documenting This.

I have a lot of bronzer. No, I didn’t count them, I didn’t want to be confronted with that number. But, I am running out of room for bronzer, so I figured it was time to get rid of a few I don’t use. Compared to how many bronzers I own, I barely got rid of any.

As you can see, at this point I’m my decluttering journey, I only got rid of five bronzers. All of these bronzers I am getting rid of because I never reach for them. All decluttered products will be passed onto someone who will hopefully use them.

Covergirl Cheekers Cinnamon Toast

I’m pretty positive this is actually a blush. When it was with my blush it looked more like a bronzer to me. Then I never used it as a bronzer. I did contemplate using it as an eyeshadow, but I have enough brown eyeshadow this just needs to go.

ColourPop Sculpt Stix “Dove”

I bought this forever ago and only used it a handful of times. It is so so old. I think I should probably just toss this one.

The Balm Auto-Balm Grl Power Cheeks On The Go “Bleeker”

Looking at this now I see that it is actually definitely a blush. However I have so many blushes that I also need to declutter so I am just going to pass this along.

Kylie Pressed Bronzing Powder “Khaki”

I never use any of my Kylie products anymore. I just don’t support the brand so it’s time for this to go.

Love Craft Beauty Bronzer Trio

I got this is a subscription box ages ago and I don’t think I’ve ever actually used it. It’s time to stop taking up space. Goood bye.

What are your favorite bronzers? Leave a comment!

Boxy Premium July 2020 | Sunshine

BoxyCharm Premium is $35 a month. You receive 5-6 full sized beauty items.

Let’s just get right into this unboxing!

Cuccio Naturale Milk and Honey Cuticle Revitalizing Oil $18

Yessss! I needed this so bad. My cuticles are always horrible, but I never use anything specifically for them. Let’s see if their “natural hydrating complex” does the job.

Byroe Bitter Essence Toner $95

$95!? This stuff better change my life! This toner contains 33 green vegetable extracts that are meant to hydrate, purify, and help smooth unwanted texture. I have to admit, it does sound very promising.

Morphe x Manny MUA Glam Palette $20

This palette is very pretty, and I enjoy that they included highlighters. I am already thinking of some great looks to do with this baby, and can’t wait to show them to y’all.

Kenia Ontiveros Beauty Set and Define Kit $42

This palette contains setting shades, bronzer, contour and a highlight. The powders feel very soft, and I have a feeling they are going to wear beautifully on the skin.

Laura Geller Line -N-Define Dual Dimension Eye Liner “Black/teal” $24

I have tried liners from Laura Geller before and really liked them. I think this shade combo will really make my green eyes pop!

Folly Fire Matte Manipulation Trio $39.99

Lastly, we have a trio of red toned lipsticks. These lipsticks are vegan, cruelty free, gluten and fragrance free. I am excited to play with them. I love mixing lip shades to create new ones. I think sets like this are so fun.

That is it for my premium box! I’m really happy with everything, this month was definitely a hit! My box came to a total of $238.99. What a value!

Products I have been using on the daily | Summer 2020

This summer has been sweltering. So I set out to find a low effort routine, that handles well under heat. I think I found it for myself! And it is surprisingly full of powder products.

Base

After my skin care, I start by priming. I have been loving the Pür Cosmetics 4 in 1 correcting primer $33. It is moisturizing and sinks quickly into the skin. It has a nice light scent. It really helps to calm my skin down, and I do find it helps reduce redness.

My next step is concealing. I really love the Organic Skin Co. Hide and Seek Concealer in the shade Porcelain ($18 for the refill, magnetic pod). It doesn’t crease under the eyes and does a wonderful job at covering up blemishes. I find it blends in best using your fingers to really warm up the product.

I have been loving powder foundations specifically the Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation in China Doll $22. It gives a brightened and smooth look to the skin, and does a great job at covering up any remaining discoloration.

Colored Cosmetics

For bronzer I have been in love with the W3ll People Bio Baked Bronzer in Natural Tan $24.99. It gives a lovely sun kissed tan look to the skin. I also love packing it all over my lid and buffing it into my crease and under the eye, for a super easy, sultry eye look!

The highlighter I have been obsessed with is PYT Radiant Powder Highlighter in Backstage Pass $22. It gives a very luminous look to the skin. I also pop this under my brow bone and in the inner corner of my eyes, to complete that super easy eye look.

I have found my new all time favorite blush, and I can’t stop using it! The Lily Lolo Pressed Blush in Tickled Pink $20. This blush gives my cheeks a wind flushed look, while providing luminosity.

For the lips I have constantly been reaching for the Axiology Natural Lip Crayon in the shade Valour $26. For a lip crayon, it is rather long lasting. It is also not drying on the lips at all, even though it is matte. The crayon shape to the product makes reapplication through out the day a breeze!

Please ignore my red eye, I tried the Tarte Big Ego mascara, and I don’t think my left eye is okay with it.

Look at that highlighter!!

I hope you enjoyed reading about the products I am currently loving!

Ipsy Ultimate Un-Boxing | May 2020

It’s time for my longest post of the month! Ipsy Ultimate. It is $50 a month. Ipsy also has a $25 and a $12 option.

Let’s jump right into the products!

We will begin with the add-ons. Yes, I actually remembered the add-ons this month!

Nomad Kiss of Sun Palette

This palette was a $12 add on. It’s a highlighting and bronzer palette. I thought it was super cute. I also love supporting Indie brands, which Nomad is.

I should be able to use a few of these shades. I can’t wait to give them a try.

MOTD Eye Brush Set

I also believe that this was a $12 add on. I have wanted to try MOTF brushes for a while now, so there was no way I was passing up on this offer.

Wander Beauty Nude Illusion Foundation “Fair Light” & Yensa BC Concealer “Light Neutral “

These add-ons were either $6 or $3 dollars. Either way, I thought it would be a fun little way to test a new foundation and concealer.

They both seem like they will be pretty good matches.

Please be aware, that Ipsy did not include a pricing card this month.

Innbeauty Project Lip Oil “Candy Apple”

This lip oil taste and smells amazing. It is a bit more like a gloss than I am use to in an oil. It gives a slight little tint of color.

Hey Honey Look into My Eyes Eye Mask

I have never tried an eye mask. I am interested to see if this product is helpful or not. My under eye are has been dry.

Invigorating Hand And Body Lotion “Sweet Orange & Elemi

This lotion is slightly thick, so it feels amazing. The citrusy scent is magnificent. It is a little hard to get out of the bottle though.

KISMET Buff Sugar Scrub

I do believe I got a Kisment primer in my last Ipsy box. I am currently using a different lip scrub, but I will not have a back up!

The Beautiful Factr. Water Jam Cleansing Gel Balm

I love balm cleansers! I really love trying out new ones as well. I have never tried a gel balm, so this should be fun to try.

PureHeals Pore Clear Black Charcoal Peel Off Mask

I just finished a toner from this brand! I just had to throw away my yes to tomatoes charcoal peel off mask because I neglected it and it tried out. This couldn’t have arrived at a better time.

Murad Resurgence Renewing Eyecream

Strange, on my profile I said I rarely wanted eye treatment products. Yet this month I got two. However, I do enjoy Murad, so I will give this product a go.

Dermedicine Weightless Face Moisturizer SPF 25

A moisturizer and an SPF. I am all for being able to skip a step in my routine. With this I can knock out moisturizer and SPF.

Araceil Ojos Perfectos Liquid Liner “Black” and “Brown”

I could do with out another black liquid liner. But, I have really been wanting a brown one. Now I’ve got it! I will probably pass the black one along to someone else.

Dr. Huang Beauty Lab Shea Butter Nourishing Mask & British Rose Hydrating Mask

I love sheet masks. I use one basically every night. These two seem like they will both work well for my current, crazy dry skin, concerns.

Huda Beauty Golden Sands Highlighter Palette

I am not sure if these shades will work for my skin tone or not. But, I sure am going to try it. The formulas in the palette are nice, and the shades are very pretty.

Smashbox Cover Shot Ablaze Eye Palette

I chose this palette this month. Yes! I actually remembered to make my choice as well.

I love the Cover Shot palettes and have wanted this one for a while. I am excited to have it, Ablaze will be a great, easy, go to palette.

That was all that I got in Ipsy this month! I really enjoyed this box. Not so much all the eye creams, but I loved everything else! And will use the eye creams regardless.

What was in your Ipsy bag or box this month?

A full face of makeup I am panning | I let the music guide the look

I have started following a lot of panning groups on Reddit ( u/mrsmandreedus) and decided to start my own project pan.

I will not solely use these products, but for work, and when I need a quick look. These are the products I will be reaching for.

I decided it would be fun to do a full face for y’all with the products, but I decided to add a twist. I listened to the “Sad Covers” play list on Spotify, and let the music help guide the look! Let’s just say, it turned out grungy.

Base products

For my primer I am using up the last little bit of my last Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. I love this primer, I just have so many and need to use them up.

For my concealer I am scraping out the last bits of my Tarte Shape Tape in Fair. This is my favorite concealer and I will repurchase it once this one is gone.

For my foundation I am trying to finish the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation in F1. I am not 100% on how I really feel about this foundation. Some days I love how it looks, but othersI HATE it.

The powder I am trying to pan is the Elf Tone Correcting Powder in Cool. I enjoy this powder, but it doesn’t do enough color correction for me to repurchase it. It does set well though.

Face color products

For my blush and bronzer I am using up the ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer in Fiji Matte. I have gone through a few of these over the years. As you can see the bronzer is pretty much done for. I will probably be repurchasing this guy.

The highlighter I am trying to pan is Citrine from Jouer. I love this highlight and don’t want to see it go. But, I dropped it once and keep having to repress it. So I want to use it to get it out of the way. I probably won’t repurchase because I do have so many similar highlighters.

Brows

The pencil I am trying to use up is from Winky Luxe. I have had it so long that the packing design has rubbed away. It is a decent pencil, but nothing special.

For my brow gel, I am using up The Brow Gal Instant tinted brow gel in Brown 02. I actually really like this product. It really helps to make my brows look full and natural. I have another one to use up after this one. Then I will probably repurchase.

Eyeshadow

The primer I am trying to pan is the MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ocher. This stuff last forever. It works great, but it isn’t something I would spend the money on again.

The eyeshadow palette I am hoping to pan is the ABH Modern Renaissance palette. This is my all time favorite eyeshadow palette. If I pan a decent amount of it I will repurchase.

Eyeliner

For my water and tight line, I am trying to finish is the Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Black. I love this liner. I won’t repurchase it though, because I have so many black liners.

For liquid liner, I am trying to pan the never ending Revolution Renaissance Flick liner in Black. I really love this liner and will be repurchasing it. Even though I have like 15 black liquid liners, but whatever.

Mascara

I always use two mascaras at a time. It’s a weird habit, but I have always done it.

The first one I am trying to use up is Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express in Black. It’s an okay mascara, but nothing I would repurchase.

The second mascara I am trying to use up is the Tarte Big Ego mascara. To be honest, I was let down by this mascara. I usually love the Mascaras from Tarte, but this one is leaving much to be desired.

Lips

I have almost panned the KVD Liquid Lip and Lip Liner in Lolita. This is my go to lip shade and I will be repurchasing.

Setting Spray

For setting spray I am almost done with my second to last Mac Fix Plus. I actually do really like this stuff. However, I have others sprays that work just as well, for a lower price. As of right now, I probably will not repurchase.

The Look

What is a product you are trying to use up?

Ipsy Platinum | April 2020

Is this bag not the cutest? It typically wouldn’t be my type. But, as I have learned more about myself during lock down. I am in love with this makeup case!

How is lock down treating everyone? I hope you are all doing well mentally! As someone who is immunocompromised, I have been stuck in side. I have really been working on my mental health, and processing things I refused to before. I’m stuck in the environment where i feel safest, so I figured now was the right time for self improvement and discovery.

How have you all been handling this lock down? Need anyone to talk to during all of this, for any reason? PLEASE snap chat me @manda_janette. Or DM me on Insta @_notan_alien

I have had this box for a few days now, but have put off posting. I want to enjoy doing this, I don’t want to feel like I have to. So no more attempts at schedules. We are going back to the good old, I want to do what makes me happy, fueled posts!

Now, let’s actually get into the Unboxing! BTW, we have the info card back this month!

Jules Smith Beauty Power 5 Shadow Palette $28

This is a brand I have never heard of, so I am very intrigued.

Each shadow is inspired by different powers and properties of different genres stones.

I haven’t fully researched the brand, so I cannot speak of them as a whole. Just this palette. This palette is gluten free, cruelty free, and vegan.

I could not use this palette on its own, but the shadow quality is really nice, I think it will make a great companion palette.

YENSA CBD Superfood Dual Cleansing Oil $38

I do have a primer from YENSA that I really enjoy, so I am excited to try another product from them. This is an oil to milk emulsion that removes, face and eye makeup, as well as other impurities on the skin.

I am excited to give this a try. I don’t have much experience with cleansing oils, and I think this is a good place to start.

CIATÉ London Triple Shot XXL Mascara in Black XXL $22

I have some friends who love this mascara, so I am excited to try it for myself! Lately, I have just been doing my mascara and brows for a makeup routine.

I am a little apprehensive about the wand itself. I prefer wands that are fuller, fluffier.

Trèstique Mini Lip Glaze Set $48

This is a nice little set, with a nice variety of colors. But, there is no way I would pay almost $50 for this. I do however, enjoy all of the shades, and the texture feels very nice. I think I will actually get a lot of use out of these minis!

Il Makiage Long Wear Eye Pencil in Batman $17

I have already used this a liner and I really enjoy it. It goes on smooth and stays on. I have pretty watery eyes and it did not budge from my water line.

Céla Seed to Skin Scrub Natural Grain Polish $34

I love body scrubs. It’ll be exciting to try a new one. Especially one so pricey.

Real Her Ultimate Glow Getter Cheek Trio $28

The formula of all three products is buttery and pigmented. I also think all three shades will work great on my fair skin. I can rarely use every shade in palettes like this. So that’s fun.

Kaleido Cosmetics Skin Blush in Primadonna $8

I actually really enjoy this blush. It gives my cheeks and flush, healthy glow.

Lavido 2-in-1 Purifying Facial Mask and Exfoliator $36

My skin has been horrible lately. This mask and exfoliator is meant to increase cell turnover and nix clogged pores and breakouts. Hopefully it does it’s job, because I really need it.

Goldfaden MD Hands to heart anti-aging and brightening hand treatment deluxe sample

I am going to be honest. I already gave this to my mom. I have so many hand creams and I would never use this. I’m 24, my hands are still fine for a bit.

PureHeals Propolis Softening Toner Deluxe Sample

I have used this toner some, and I am enjoying it. It is meant to help brighten skin. It also contains anti-inflammatory aloe Vera and propolis.

Kismet Pure Vitamin C Primer Deluxe Sample

I want to give this primer a fair chance. But, it is FULL of silver glitter. It is meant to brighten skin, the vitamin c. Apparently, it is also meant to smooth out pores. We will see about that one.

That is it for my box. I am really pretty happy with it. It was a nice pick me up during this lock down.

Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate | January 2020

Sorry for skipping my Ipsy post last month. It was a great box! I just haven’t had much motivation to post lately. Hopefully that is starting to change.

Glam bag ultimate is $50 a month. There are a lot of mixed opinions on this box, but I actually really like it, and use a ton of the stuff I get. It is pretty skincare heavy, but I love being able to gift the nicer items that I am not going to use to friends and family.

This months theme is clean slate, which is rather fitting. There is literally no info on the card this month. Just a spot to write what your aspirations are for the year. Mine is “This year I will, treat myself with the same care and respect that I do others.” Having body dismorphia makes that difficult- but I am determined to heal!

Per usual, we are starting off with the bag. They nailed it this month. It is marble, pink and rose gold. It’s cute and the perfect size for an over night trip. It’s very sturdy and well made. I know I will be using the hell out of it!

The next items are two sheet masks from Avette. Not really sure what they are meant to target, so I will have to do a bit a research. I do love getting sheet masks in my boxes though.

Next I have toner pads from Essenherb. These game at the perfect time. I am almost out of my current toner. Hopefully these work well with my skin, it has been crazy sensitive lately.

Next we’ve got a kale and vitamin C serum from Sweet Chef. This is a product I will be passing on to my mom. She is in need of a new serum, and I have so many.

Here we have the Take the Drama Away honey and copper peel off mask. It is meant to exfoliate to lift away impurities. Which, lord knows I need my impurities lifted right now. So far 2020 has been a bad year for my skin. I have never used a mask with copper, so I am intrigued.

Of course, we have a nail polish. This is the Pretty Woman Polish in I’m So Jelly. I may pass this along, I have so many polishes in this shade… but it is my favorite shade of polish- she may just stay with me in my stash.

I am hyped about this one. It is the full size of the super hyped up Thrive Causemetics mascara. I have tried a sample and LOVED it. I am really thankful that I got this mascara, especially right now. I have been trying out the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara, and I am not really vining with it like I thought I would.

For me, this is a super exciting product to get. The It Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I love pillow sprays and this one I have tried and did enjoy. It just smells so nice!

Here with have a moisturizer from Ahava. Apparently this product is an ipsy exclusive. It is meant for normal to dry skin. I am going to give it a shot and see if it is helpful at all. I have had some success with their hydrating mask.

Here we have the best FARAH brush I have gotten thus far. It’s well made and super soft. This is a 160F Face Brush. I am going to be using it for cream blush, bronzers and maybe even highlights. It is the perfect size and density. I really like that it matches the bag with rose gold, pink and marble.

Here we just have a basic black pencil liner from Sugar. Usually this wouldn’t be too great. But I have been using the crap out of black liners lately, so I am totally fine with getting such a basic, run of the mill product.

Next, we have the Flesh Highlighting Balm in StarLite. The shade is beautiful and really packs a punch. I will be using this a ton. Before I saw the shade I figured I would pass it on to my sister. But, no. This is mine!

Our last product is the Alternative Rock Vol. 2 palette from The Balm. This palette is super neutral, and has shadows blush, bronzer, and a highlight.

This is for sure going to be my new travel palette. It’s easy to work with, and neutral. I am planning on doing a whole review of this palette, so I wanted to keep my opinion short for now.

That is it for my Glam Bag Ultimate this month! I am very happy with it, and do think it is worth the price! I have yet to actually be disappointed by this box.

What was in your Ipsy bag?
