*Makup Declutter Eyeshadow*

I knew this would be the hardest part, and it was. Making my first sale of the products that I am selling, today helped me a lot though sense that money is going to a makeup order!

* I am not showing all the shadows I have remaining- or the ones I am starting with, because I have a few series planned, and I don’t want to spoil anything! Remember, my decluttering process is growing and I will be showing more shadows and other items that I will be passing in on, as they are decided on.*

Single Shadows

mds

Lately I have had this strange need to buy single shadows. It was really hard to get rid of any, and the ones that I am passing along, I had to force myself to do. Let’s begin!

Wet n’ Wild “cheeky”- This pink is super powdery and way more trouble than it is worth. I am really liking shades of pink lately, but I have better shadows that are similar. Going to a family member

L’oreal “Green Promenade”- I really like this shadow line. I actually have kept a lot that I want to find cruelty free dupes of before I pass along. This one just isn’t pigmented, so I am going to let my family pick through this (along with a ton of other makeup) next weekend!

L’oreal “Argentic”- This is another shade that just isn’t pigmented. I am also passing this along to family. I have swatched it quite a bit.

Cover Girl “Tapestry taupe”, “Mink”, and “Brown Smoulder”- I am passing these all along for the same reason. I have these exact shades, but 1000 times better in cruelty free form. I have messed with these quite a bit, so I am going to give these to family and not sell. It was a bit hard to pass these along, because I do like them, but there is no sense in keeping a worse version of something I own.

Palettes:

mds1

Palettes weren’t as hard to move away from because I have SO many. Let’s just get into the ones I am passing along and where they are going.

NYC Lovatics BY Demi- I used this once, in a post. It is nice for the price, but I have so much like it. It also is not cruelty free, so might as well pass it along. I am going to sanitize and sell this item!

NYX Sex Bomb- I have never used this item and just don’t see myself reaching for it. I am going to sell it.

CoverGirl Notice Me Nudes- I bought this b/c of Tati and it just wasn’t as great as she made it seem. Not much pigmentation. Going to a family member sense I did use it quite a bit.

Revlon Photo Ready “Metropolitan” – I have only swatched this item, and I know my mom really likes it. She has used it. I am going to give it to her!

Wet n’ Wild Poster Child- I have played with this some, but I am never going to use this. I am just going to let it go to a family member before I change my mind!

Sonia Kashuk Eyes on Textured Nudes- I love the matte and shimmer version of this palette, but this one just doesn’t have the same pay off. I am going to also pass this on to my mom, she has been wanting shadows with more shimmer, maybe she can make use of this.

Wet n Wild I’m Getting Sun Burnt- This trio is really messy and the shadows are too soft. The super dark brown broke and has just mixed with the other shades. I am going to throw this one away.

Rimmel Afternoon Tea-This has like no pigmentation. I don’t even want to give it to someone else because it just sucks. Trash.

Hope you enjoyed this declutter! What shadows should I pick up? What types of looks do you want to see??

Friday Faves and Flops!

I am aware that it is no longer Friday, I thought this post posted yesterday, when actually it just got saved in my drafts.

Let’s jump into the faves:

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Sensitive Version

42216

I have crazy sensitive eyes. ANYTHING I used to clean my eye makeup off before I got this product burnt them so badly. I would go quite a bit of time after cleaning them off not being able to see correctly. I picked up this item at my local walmart and I am so glad that I did! They are apparently coming out with some for different skin types as well, which I am also pretty pumped about!

Cover Girl Oh! Sugar Lip Balm in “Soda” and “GumDrop”

I love tinted lip balms. They are easy to use, no hassle to reapply, and moisturize my super dry lips. I love these two deep colors in the line. The give a beautiful bitten lip type of flush to your lips. They are perfect for this time of year  and for the next few months. These guys also smell like the Bottle Caps candy, I love that stuff!

Broadway Nails Nail Polish Remover Pads

422163

I got this product at my local Dollar General. The Fiance and I were on our way to visit family and I had to get my chipped up polish up my nails. I didn’t have much hope for these, but decided they would be the best to use in the car. I was so wrong about this product. 1 pad got all the polish off of 5 fingers, and I still had quite a bit of polish left! They also smell so much better than any other nail polish remover I have used. They are  only a $1.00!!

Now for my flop:

L.A. Colors Grafix Eyeliner

422164

Seriously, come on. This is a liquid liner. Why does it apply like this!? Yes, it is worse on the eyes. I understand that this product is under $3, but so is Wet n’ Wilds, actually they are cheaper and work better!

What were your faves and flops for this week? Have you tired these products? Let’s talk!

A pink and brown eye FOTD

image

I wanted to do something a little different than I usually do. Even though it ended up turning out a lot like my usual looks.

The L’oreal Infallible shadow in “always pearly pink” was much more frosty than it was pink. This is the shade on my lid, by the way.

In my crease I used the MAC shadow in “cork” to help the darker shade, Elizabeth Arden brow powder and eyeliner in “brunette” , to blend easier.

As my base shade I used Wet n Wilds “creme brulee”.

image

I used the Starlooks Pro liquid liner in ” black”. I also used the Covergirl Plumpify mascara again, I am really loving it.
My shadow primer was Too Faced Shadow Insurance.  I also used the Elizabeth Arden shade to smoke out my under eye just a bit.

image

I used to ELF contour palette to contour, bronze and highlight. I used the Covergirl TruBlend baked blush in “Medium Rose”.

I used the Revlon Color stay foundation and the Maybelline Better Skin concealer. I then set it all with the ELF color correcting powder.

On my lips is the NYC Liquid Lipshine in ” Honey on the Hudson”.

I hope you enjoyed this look. I have purchased a new camera, so in a few days the picture quality will improve tremendously. Thanks for reading!

My go to makeup look! Only using drugstore products!

Let’s start with the eyes!

image

I mixed shades 4 and 7 as my transition shade. This is the Sonia Kashuk eye on textured neutral palette, it is pretty great. I then used shade 5 all over the lid. Shade 2 was my inner corner highlight.

image

I then used the L’oreal color riche single in” pain au chocolate”
As my actual crease shade. I then used Cover Girls ” brown smoulder ” to darken up my outer V.

I also used essence black liquid liner and the covergirl mascara in plumpify ( also in black).

image

I assume we all know what to do with foundation and concealer. Just to note, I used Maybellines fit me concealer in cafe as my contour shade.

image

I then used the Coty  powder in translucent to bake. By the way, this sponge is see cheap at Walmart, it is actually pretty nice! I set the rest of !y face with Essences all about matte powder.

image

I used the ELF contour palette to highlight and set my contour. I also bronzed the rest of my face with Rimmels  Sundance bronzer.

image

I used Wet n Wilds Rose Champagne blush. I am loving it right now.

*** the picture of the lip product I was wearing did not transfer. It was one of L’oreals liquid lipsticks with a balm at the other end in never ending nutmeg.
****** I trade up the lip products a lot. This is one I didn’t like. After 30 mins it started to crust up and flake off.

Cover Girl Tru Blend Blushes and Bronzer. Are they worth it?

I found this product a few weeks ago at my local Wal-Mart, the land of impulse buys. At the time they were on an end cap, along with three new primers that I also purchased, but that is another post. I noticed today while picking up a box of hair color (anyone interested to see this new change?) that they are now in the regular makeup aisle.

ONWARD TO THE REVIEW!!!!

The Blushes

There are 3 blush colors in this line; Light rose, medium rose, and deep mauve. These blushes are amazing. I truly love each and every one. If you need to build it up or blend it out it is very easy to do. The only off thing that I noticed about them is that the pan of baked product is smaller than the space it is in, so it makes me a bit nervous that they will fall out. But, that is really the only down side I could find. They are smooth and very long wearing! I am very impressed. Continue reading “Cover Girl Tru Blend Blushes and Bronzer. Are they worth it?”
