Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2022

I forgot I was subscribed to this! So it was a nice little surprise today. It’s $5 a season and you get a random assortment of beauty and makeup samples. Sometimes you’ll even get a full sized product! I really want to sub to the cheap beauty boxes from other stores, lately I have an obsession with samples and deluxe sample sized products. Probably because I am doing a turn and burn project pan. Which is just making a point to use up samples, deluxe samples, and products that are almost empty.

Sample Packets

I’m not going to go into any detail with these. Here is just an assortment of one use packets. The L’Oréal Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Liquid IV flavor packet, and Not Your Mother’s Smooth Moves Anti-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner.

Daily Concepts Exfoliating Dual Texture Scrubber

I am a bit iffy about this. It just makes me a bit nervous to use wipe something so textured all around my face. I am afraid of tears. I might try this, but I also might just give it to a friend to try.

Cera Ve Daily Moisturizing Lotion

I have heard really good things about this lotion so I am interested in trying it out. I think it will work really nicely on my legs which are much more sensitive than the rest of my body. This will be a nice way to see if I like it or not.

Chap Stick Total Hydration With Hemp Seed Oil

I am always happy to try a new lip balm. This one feels really hydrating on the lips and has a nice fresh scent. Into my purse it goes!

Lottie London Slay All Day Liquid Lipstick “Fleek”

I have not been big into liquid lips lately like I use to be. I just find them to be too drying on my lips and I don’t like how they just flake off. However, I do really like the shade of this one so I may make an exception.

It’s a brown-red shade. I just really enjoy it and think it will really complement some looks. I don’t think it screams spring by any means, but who cares. It’s not like I’m into bright springy colors.

What did you think of this Walmart beauty box? Not a bad little assortment for $5! Comment your thoughts below! What is your favorite product or brand from the drugstore?

Ulta Beauty Pollution Defense Pomegranate Peel Off Mask | Skincare Review

I hate Flu season. My head feels like it weighs 100Lbs and my throat feels like I was swallowing needles.

When I get sick I break out, bad. Like, REAL BAD. I thought this was the perfect time to try out the Ulta Beauty Pollution Defense Mask.

It retails for $3. It is a translucent pink and has a fruity scent to it, that kind of smelled like alcohol to me as well. I mean, I could smell it. So it had to be strong, but that was only during application, it did dissipate by the time I had the mask completely applied. This mask is CF and Vegan and actually pretty clean for the price!

The benefits of this mask are: (from the Ulta site)

• Pomegranate, rich in Antioxidant Vitamins A and C, helps skin fight free radicals which can lead to signs of aging

• Witch Hazel helps unclog pores and purify skin

• Vitamin E helps soothe delicate skin.

Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Polyvinyl Alcohol, Alcohol Denat., Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Polysorbate 20, PVP, Sodium Acetate, Methyl Acetate, Parfum, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Benzyl Alcohol, Red 4.

My experience:

I found that the mask applied better with my fingers than it did a brush. I tend to use one of those flat foundation brushes to apply masks, just a cheap one.

I think I applied to much product to certain spots, because it took around an hour to completely dry down, not the suggested 20 minuets.

The peeling process was fun, very reminiscent of peeling glue of my hand when I was a kid, but this was beneficial!

After I removed the mask I felt that my skin was tight and very smooth. I also noticed this the next day! It also brought a lot of blemishes I had to a head, showing that it actually was doing something to unclog my pores!

I am very pleasantly surprised with this peel off mask! ☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️ our of 5 snowmen, will repurchase!

You can purchase it, HERE! Remember, the Ulta brand always has a sale going on. Right now it is buy 2 get 2 free!!

I hope you enjoyed this post! What is your favorite peel off mask? Or Ulta Beauty Mask? Comment below!

*Win or Waste* ELF Daily Facial Cleanser

elfface

I reviewed the moisturizer, I might as well go ahead and review its companion face wash!

I know I have been doing A LOT of reviews recently, but I promise there is more of that and other things to come!

This cleanser is $7 on the ELF website. I purchased mine at target while I was in a pinch, and I believe I payed $8 for it. I wanted a cruelty free face wash, and decided to go with the ELF one, do to an online order I had just ordered at the time.

I really enjoy that light blue packaging, The robins egg (almost, anyway) blue shade is one of my favorite colors! Packaging really draws me in if you can’t tell by now.

Claims:

“This gentle cleanser removes everyday impurities, dirt, and makeup for skin that feels clean and renewed. It’s infused with Purified Water to help hydrate the skin with a refreshing splash of moisture.”

My Thoughts:

I am really disappointed with this product. It does literally nothing it claims. After using it my skin still feels dirty and it really doesn’t take mush of the impurities off. Upon first using it, it does seem really moisturizing. But, after a little while my skin would feel dry again. Kind of like what petroleum does, makes your skin feel very hydrated for a bit than after a little bit you feel the need to go back and apply more.

Verdict:

0/10 would buy again. This product does nothing! Yes, the price point is great as is the availability, but I would rather spend the extra money to get a product that works.

What face wash do you recommend??

*Review* ELF Daily Hydration Moisturizer

indexI am back!!

I really missed being able to blog and read ya’lls blogs everyday! Now that I am able to do so again I am going to finally review a product I have been asked a ton about! The ELF Daily Hydration Moisturizer.

I got this product for $8 on their website, here. I have really been trying to find a great cruelty free face moisturizer, and this product is so far the best one I have found, that is at a decent price. The product itself is great! It is thick, moisturizing, and does not have a bad smell to it.

BUT, the packaging….

While it is so cute, and I love the look of it, I was really unhappy with how it performed. When I saw the pump I was excited. Who doesn’t love a good pump right!? It is easier to use in a rush and is more sanitary. If it works…

For all that is holy I could get nothing to pump out. It was so so frustrating!  I tried everything to get it to work but it would not! I always have  to un screw the pump and just squeeze the product out.

I know this is not the best reason to not want to repurchase a product…but it is why I will not repurchase it. Unless I fall more in love with the product that is. The pure inconvenience of the pump not working though, just makes me want to never touch it again. It really grinds my gears when things don’t work how they are meant to, it makes me feel mislead.

What are your tips to get this to pump!? What is your favorite moisturizer? Help me!!
