A Face Full of Favorites + a Little More | November 2016

nf

I want to get in to the habit of doing favorites like every other blogger on the planet does, but I just never make the time to actually do the post. I did a small one last month, here, and have decided to format it a different way this month. And yes, I know it isn’t my whole face, but it bounced around enough to were it made sense to me (:.

Briogeo Roscarco Blow Dry Heat Protectant Cream:

bco1

This cream was in the October Boxy Charm, and I have been using the crap out of it. I use it before any type of styling and to remove frizz, or just to make my hair smell good. I am addicted to this scent. I plan on buying more from the Rosarco line from Briogeo. You should really pick this up, if you use any heat on your hair, hell, pick it up if you have hair! It is $25 at Sephora.com

Modicum Essential Serum:

modicum-serum-v4

A few months back I got this serum in a Vegan Cuts beauty box.  It has a variety or organically sourced essential oils in it, so it smells very earth. At first this really put me off, but I have grown to love the earthy variety of scents. This serum is meant to give your skin glow and diminish fine lines and wrinkles. It is also meant to really moisturize your skin, and help improve chronic skin issues like acne, psoriasis, etc.

I use this as a primer!  In a Green Bunny Beauty video, Ashleigh said that a serum makes a great primer, the whole oil fighting oil concept. So I decided to give it a try and fell in love. It has also really improved my skin in the freezing weather. I will buy this again when  I run out. I put 3 SMALL drops on my face on each side and that is all it takes, so it will last quite a while. The travel size is $20, the Full-size is $55. Here is the site where you can learn more about it, and purchase the products.

Physicians Formula Eye Booster 4-in-1 brow boosting kit:

pf

I haven’t heard much about this product, and I have no idea why! You get a really nice brow pencil. It is not a thin one, but it is great for filing in your entire brow, makes it quicker. A pretty highlight, which works wonders for carving out your brows. Super creamy, very blendable. The boosting part of the set is supposed to be the gel. I have yet to see any extra growth, but it is a fantastic setting gel. It is thin enough to not get clumpy, but still gives great hold. I think this is my favorite brow gel, like, ever. The set is $14.99, and is available all over the place! I would get it at Ulta, sense they have the $3.50 off $15 deal.

ELF Satin Lipstick “Touch of Blush”

11810

I got this lipstick as a free gift, and I am really glad that I did. The formula feels fantastic! It wears a nice amount of time for a $5 satin lipstick. The shade is perfect for this time of year. It is bold, but not too bold that you wouldn’t want to wear it during the day. Not that that would stop me anyway. This shade is read, but does have warmth to it, this makes me think that it would look fantastic of a ton of skin tones.

Kat Von D Inked Liner in “Trooper”:

I have to say it, I like this more than the Tattoo liner. It has given me a new love for felt tip applicators. It is very easy to get a wing with, very matte, and goes no where. I haven’t been reaching for any other liner, because I know this one won’t fail me. It also comes in a ton of different colors, so I will be including this in my order when I use my $20 off code at Sephora!

That is it for my favorites! Not much of skin care or body care, because it has not changed. I also had a few LE things that were only available in the Notoriously Morbid Vanishing Cabinet, but didn’t want to mention them because they are not readily available. Super Easy FOTD Ft. Urban Decay Naked 3

61516

Today I bring you a really easy FOTD, using the Naked 3 palette. As stated in the title. I bought this palette a couple weeks ago, then literally never messed with it. Obviously this is really bad, so I decided to go a head and take the plunge to use it.

The base:

  • I used the ELF aqua primer mist (Review coming soon)
  • The NYX Under eye correcting concealer in fair (Review coming soon)
  • The Maybeline Better Skin Concealer (almost used it up!) on blemishes
  • The Maybelline Master Concealer in the lightest color (Also almost used up) to highlight my face.
  • My foundation was the Maybelline Dream wonder liquid to powder. It is on its last leg, I am really excited to finally be almost done with all these non-CF items.
  • I set my face with the Maybelline Matte powder (also finally almost done).

Brows:

  • I used my Wet n Wild Brow Pencil in Blonde moments to outline my brows
  • Filled them in with the fist shade from the Kat Von D Shade and Light eye palette
  • Fixed them up with the NYX Above Coverage concealer
  • I then set them with the L’oreal Brow Stylist. (finally on its last leg)

Contour and the Like:

  • I used the ELF contour palette to Contour and Bronze. I love this paletee and I really love using the Wet n Wild contour brush to contour.
  • I used the lightest highlighter from the Carli Bybel palette, obviously to high light.
  • I used the Milani Rose blush in the shade “Romantic Rose”. Really starting to fall back in love with this product.

Eyes:

  • For my primer I used the Maybelline Master Concealer again, really trying to use it for every purpose that I can.
  • I also set my lids with the Maybelline Fit Me powder.

Now for the shadows!

  • I blended “Limit” into the crease
  • My definer shade for my outer v and crease was “Factory”
  • I decided to use “Burn Out” on my lid
  • I then used “Dust” on my inner corner and brow bone
  • I wasn’t happy with this, so I went in with “Strange” on my brow bone and inner corner. Made it all better.
  • I used Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on pencil in “Perversion” is what I used to tight line my upper lash line.
  • I used “Factory” on my lower lash line to define it a bit.

I love this palette and really will be using it more often! Glad I purchased it!

Lips:

  • I decided to give the Bite Matte Creme Lip Crayon in “Glace” a try. Haven’t really decided if I like it or not.

What are your favorite looks to do with the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette?

Look at all the products! This months theme is spring vibes, and I definitely get that feeling from this box! For warning, I will not be swatching the products with this post, because I want to do more in depth posts of the products.

The first item in the box is The Makeup Geek Blush, in the shade “XoXo”- I was really excited to get this. I have never tried makeup geek, but have really wanted to. I am placing an order on the website, but I am really glad I get to try out a blush! This is in the compact, which is beautiful! Can’t wait to actually show it to and review it for ya’ll! This blush is $15.(Cruelty free by the way)

Ella+Mila Nail Polish- Another cruelty free item! I usually don’t mess with nail polish, I am just not that good at it. But, for you I will try! Super excited to review this product as well! It retails for $10.50, and just a little hint, the shade is BEAUTIFUL.

The Brow Gal Clear Brow Gel- I am about out of my brow gel from essence, so it will be nice to try a new one. The products are cruelty free and hypoallergenic which is great. This product is $20, don’t see how a clear gel could be worth $20, but I guess we will find out!

StarLooks Luxe Lipliner-I love star looks, but have never tried their lip liner, I am pretty excited to. It is $19.50!

PUR Double Ego- Duo Ended Eyeliner- I have never tried PUR, pretty excited to. I can’t wait to let you all know how I like this product. it is $21!

Catherine Malandrino Romance de Provence Deluxe Mini Sprayer 10ml-I have been wanting to try a new fragrance, and I love how this one smells! I will have a more in depth review, but so far I love it! it is $20.

What are you liking from boxycharm? What makeup geek products do I have to get?

What Make-Up is Travaling with Me? + The Make-Up Bags I Use to Travel

travelmakeup.jpg

I want to start by talking about the bag itself! If you have read my first few post than you will remember this bag. It is a NYX make-up bag that I got with a set of NYX make-up at Ulta. This is my favorite bag to travel with because it’s clear so I can see all my products easier, and it is plastic which makes it much easier to clean!
