Ipsy October Mystery Glam Bag | Unbagging

Ipsy has this thing now where you can purchase mystery bundles from past months. The regular glam bag bundles are $14, GBP is $32, and GBU is, I believe, $60.

Today, we are unbagging the October 2019 Glam Bag Mystery bundle.

Soo AE Panda Eye Brightening Mask x2

I have tried these masks before and do really enjoy them. My under eyes have been really dry recently, so these came at a great time.

Murad Acne Control Clarifying Cleanser

This is a product that I have been wanting to try out, but wasn’t sure if it would be worth the price tag. Now, I have a pretty nice sized deluxe sample to test out!

Ipsy x Betty Boop Lipstick “Mauve it Baby”

Bullet lipsticks aren’t really my thing, but this is a really pretty color. The packaging is also pretty cute too.

Space Case Highlighter 1-E

This is a product I do already own, so I will be passing this along. It’s a very pretty highlighter and I love how it looks on the skin.

Kaleido Cosmetics eyeshadow “Sizzle”

This is a really metallic silver. I love everything about it. My the formula and pigmentation, down to the embossing on the product. I can’t wait to use this on the eyes.

That was everything I got in my mystery bag. Not too shabby! Really, the only thing I won’t be using is the highlighter. And that is just because I already own it.

What do you think of these mystery ipsy bags?

Petit Vour Box | March 2020

Today, we have a cruelty free, clean, and vegan monthly subscription box unboxing. Petit Vour!

Each month you get four beauty products, deluxe sample sizes and at least one full size. This box is skin care heavy, with usually only one makeup item.

We all know unboxing posts can get long, so let’s jump in.

EIR NYC Active Face Wash $20

This foaming cleanser is meant to exfoliate, being scaring to a minimum, and stop break outs. It sounds like everything I need in one bottle!

Alima Pure Natural Definition Eye Pencil $18

Alima Pure is a brand with some wonderful products, especially their setting powders.

This is a traditional eye pencil, but it is jet black and creamy as can be. I am going to go through this girl quickly.

Inkling Scent Roll on Perfume “Sultry” $15

This scent holds notes of sandalwood, amber, lotus flower, orchid, and Bulgarian rose, and vanilla.

My first thought when I smelled the scent was floral, yet a bit masculine. I have to be honest.. I think this is my new favorite scent!

Pacific Coconut Water Micellar Cleansing Tonic $5

This is a product I already know and lovey. This is a great size for travel- not that I will be getting to do any of that anytime soon.

I am very pleased with this months box! I discovered to amazing items, got one I already love, and another I am hoping will answer my facial prayers.

Glamour Ghoul Unboxing | February 2020

I bring you all another GG unboxing!

I am lost as to what the theme is this month, as a card is not included. If anyone can enlighten me, that would be much appreciated!

Let’s jump into the unboxing!

Strange Fire and Fumery Gersherms Incense Sticks

I love incense. And these smell amazing. I wish I had a card so I could list the notes. I can’t wait to use them!

Fairytale Bubbles Sweet Orange Bubble Bath

This bubble bath smells amazing. Sadly, my bathroom only contains a shower. However, the bottle is small enough that I could pack it when I go on a trip and really pamper myself!

Bookmark from the Risky Rabbit

This bookmark looks cool and is useful. To be honest there isn’t much I can say about a bookmark. But, I understand one of the points of this box is getting cool little things like this from Indie stores and showing your support of small businesses!

Enamel Pin from Tenth Dimension

I love pins. This one is very well made. I may not quite get what the reference is, but it will be going on one of my coats all the same!

Chirality Artisan Nail Polish “Slappy”

I don’t have a nail polish this color, and I am super into it. It is a grey brown with a lot of glitter. Very pretty! I am excited to try a formula from a smaller brand.

That is all for my box! This wasn’t my favorite Glamour Ghouls box, but I did still get some neat things. I am going to stay subscribed another month, but if I don’t feel better about it next month, that’ll be it.

BoxyCharm | January 2020

I, of course, have another unboxing for you today!

This time it is BoxyCharm! Fair warning, I lost my little card, so I have none of the pricing information.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask

The first product is a popular one. This is my first time trying this mask. First impression time! It feels nice on the skin, no irritation, but the artificial watermelon scent is a bit overwhelming. We got a nice 1oz deluxe sample size. In substantial glass packaging.

Petite ‘n Pretty Fully Feathered Mascara

One of my favorite things to try is mascara. I love reviving ones I have never tired, especially from brands unknown to me. The packaging is cute, and the wand itself reminds me a lot of the TF Better than Sex wand. However, I have heard in people refer to it as a “child’s makeup item” in Facebook groups I am in. I will give it a go myself and let you all know!

Pretty Vulgar Under Cover Concealer “Little White Lies”

This is the first foundation or concealing product that I have gotten since BC sent out the testers to acquire everyone’s shade. It’s a perfect match! The concealer is long wearing on my skin and does a great job at concealing blemishes.

Wander Beauty Trip for Two Blush and Bronzer Duo

Clearly, this is more of a blush and highlight duo, but it’s still pretty!

The shades work great for my light skin tone. I have been reaching for it constantly since getting it in my BC. It gives my cheeks a glowy wind bitten look.

Ace Beaute Scarlet Dusk Palette

I am very excited about this palette. I really enjoy the AB formula.

Here are swatches of a few of the shades. I will be creating an in depth post for this palette!

That was my BC for this month. I am very happy with it. A great selection!

What was in your BC?

Glamour Ghouls Unboxing | Beatle Juice Theme

I am finally back on the Glamour Ghouls train! And I am very excited about it.

For around $35 a month you get 5-6 themed indie products. Any makeup is cruelty free!

I love this box because it morphs two of my most favorite things in the world, movies and creepy things- and makeup.

The first thing in the box was this small notebook and pen. I will be tossing both of these into my bag to write down reminders and such. The paper in the notebook is graph paper, so I may even turn it into a small bullet journal.

The next thing is this awesome Beetle Juice pin from Creep Cake’s play house. I love pins. I put them on my bags and leather jacket. This one will eventually find a home on one of them! It’s very well made and nicely sized.

The next thing is a perfume oil. It is from Dante’s Inferno Room. I believe the scent is called fire and funery. This perfume oil isn’t my type. To be honest, it smells just like fire ball, and it makes my stomach hurt. I am going to try to find someone to pass this along too- but it is pretty strong.

Our first makeup item in the box is a neon pigment from Rebel Rouge Labs. It is in the shade Bioexorcist. It is a beautiful neon green. I’m excited to see all the looks that I am able to create with this pigment!

Our last item in this box is a lipstick from Medusa’s Makeup. I do really enjoy their bullet lipstick formula. The shade is Lydia, and it is a nice lavender purple. Basing looks and outfits around this lipstick is going to be so fun!

That is it for this months glamour ghouls box! I love everything. This box is so fun, I highly recommend checking it out!

What is your favorite indie brand?

The Tribe By Juvia’s | Two Looks One Palette

If you are looking for a fun and affordable palette, that is of out standing quality, Juvia’s Place is the brand you want to look at.

The Tribe palette is a warm palette with a green and deep teal twist. The color story is like nothing else I have in my collection.

For $20 you get 9 shadows. 5 buttery mattes and 4 intense metallic shades. Purchase here!

  • Maasai: A matte muted lime green.
  • Promo: A matte burnt orange.
  • Tutsi: A matte green.
  • Koro: A champagne metallic with a green shift.
  • Chaga: A metallic copper.
  • Kuba: A metallic almost navy blue.
  • Ashanti: A matte brown, that pulls more neutral.
  • Kurla: A metallic burnt orange.
  • San: A matte deep teal. I know there is another name for this type of color, but my mind is not processing it.

Look #1

  • I started off by buffing Tutsi into my crease and a bit more on to my lid.
  • I did the same step with Oromo, but allowed it to blow out a bit more towards my brow bone.
  • I then placed San on my outer V and blended it a bit into my crease for some definition.
  • I then placed Kurla all over my lid. I really wanted to see how it would layer with San.

  • I used a pencil brush and lined my lower lash line with San.
  • I buffed it out with Tutsi.
  • I popped Koro in my inner corner.

Look #2

  • I started with blending Masai into my crease, and up towards my brow bone.
  • I then placed Tutsi all over my lid and blended it into my crease a bit.
  • Using the NYX glitter glue I popped Koro on to the center of my lid.

  • I used a pencil brush to line my lower lash line with Tutsi.
  • I used a fluffier brush to buff that out with Maasai.
  • I popped Koro in my inner corner.

This is a palette I already know I love. I could do a ton of different looks with this palette, but wanted to show you all two examples of what this beautiful palette can create.

Which look is your favorite? Mine is number two!

Jeffree Star Mini-Breaker Palette | Did I waste my money?

*We all know J Star is a controversial character. We are focusing on the makeup for this post, not his antics. *

I caved a purchased a few of Jeffree’s palettes. I had been eyeing them for some time, and finally decided to just do it. But, were they all even worth purchasing? Though out different posts we are going to explore the different palettes, I thought it best to start off with his least expensive option. The Mini-Breaker Palette.

This 9 pan palette retails for $28. There are 5 mattes, one matte with some glitter in it, and 3 metallic shades.

Double Scoop: A light matte orange

Orange Crush: A matte orange with some glitter in it.

Foreplay: A matte mauvey pink

Oral: A metallic purple with a blue shift

Purple Punch: A matte blue based purple

Slice: A metallic orangey gold.

Bubble Gum: A matte Bubble Gum pink

Bite Me: A metallic true purple

Hot Fudge: A more brown based gray, matte.

  • With a fluffy blending brush I buffed Bubble Gum into my crease and a little bit over.
  • With a smaller crease brush, I blended Foreplay straight into my crease.
  • To add depth to my outer V I applied Purple Punch with a shading brush, that is a bit fluffier than normal.
  • With my finger I applied Oral over the remainder of my lid.
  • On my lower lash line I applied Purple Punch with a pencil brush right on the lash line.
  • I then repeated the same step, but with Foreplay.
  • To blend that all together I ran Bubble Gum on a small fluffy brush under my lash line.

Over all thoughts?

I think it is cool that Jeffree has a less expensive, less bulky option in his eyeshadow palette collection.

The mattes are very buttery and easy to blend. When applied with your fingers, the metallics really pack a punch.

You can do a variety of looks with just the nine shadows offered. I can even do more posts on this palette showing off some of the other looks that this palette inspires me to do.

I do think this palette is worth the $28, and I am happy to have it. Granted, I could get similar looks with other palettes in my collection. But, the quality of these shadows are so nice that I will be picking this one up over those.

If you have been thinking about picking up this palette, I say take the leap and do it!

Tetris x Ipsy Game On Palette | is it better than Block Party?

If you follow my blog, you would know I have started a subscription box product win or whomp series. This is part of that series.

I really wanted to see if the Game On palette was any better than the Block Party palette. If you read that post you would know that little palette would left me with much to be desired.

Let’s get to applying and swatching and see if Game On is an improvement, the same, or some how even worse!

The Swatches

  • Game changer: a matte light orange. Appears better on the eye than swatched.
  • Game Day: A metallic light pink.
  • Game Night: A metallic green based gold

  • Stack it up: A matte cream shade
  • Block Party: A metallic rose gold
  • Game Over: A matte Navy

Thoughts?

The palette is slightly better than its counter part. I enjoy the metallic shades. The mattes really aren’t anything special. I may end up depoting the metallics. The packaging itself is cute with a nice sized mirror, so they did good again on that aspect. It could be a little smaller though. The palettes are pretty large for just 6 shadows.

For me this is still a whomp. It is only a 6 pan palette. I want to enjoy all the shades, not just half.

Have you tried this palette? What would you like me to review next?
