Lush Sleepy Body Lotion | A Bath and Body Care Review.

I have a problem. I am addicted to lotions and soaps. Most recently, I have been really getting into Lush.

For what I think is my first body care post, we are going to focus on Lush’s sleepy!

I am sure you can gather from the body lotions name, it is meant to aid you in sleep, and moisturize your body of course. If you have bad insomnia like I do, anything that offers to help aid in the sleeping experience sounds very inviting.

The sweet lavender and tonka perfume are meant to make you feel at ease, while the glycerin, cocoa butter, and almond oil moisturize your dry skin.

Ingredients:

Oatmeal Infusion (Avena sativa) (Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract) Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis) Lavender Water (Lavandula Angustifolia) (Lavandula Angustifolia Extract) Lavender Flower Infusion (Lavandula angustifolia) Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) Glycerine Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao) Stearic Acid (Stearic acid) Illipe Butter (Shorea stenoptera) Triethanolamine Lavender Oil (Lavandula angustifolia) Benzoin Resinoid (Styrax tonkinensis pierre) (Styrax Tonkinensis Resin Extract) Tonka Absolute (Dipteryx odorata) Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata) Cetearyl Alcohol *Benzyl Benzoate *Benzyl Cinnamate *Coumarin *Geraniol *Limonene *Linalool Fragrance Snowflake Lustre (Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Titanium Dioxide (Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Titanium Dioxide, Red 28, Blue 1, Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide) Red 28 Blue 1 *Occurs naturally in essential oils

*the ingredient listing is taken directly from the Lush USA website.*

This lotion is cruelty free, free of synthetic preservatives, and is also vegan. The tub it is in is made out of recycled plastic.

How I use it:

*Sorry if my font changed, it occurred when I added the ingredient list from the Lush site.*

Before I start relaxing in bed for the night I apply “Sleepy” all over my body. Making sure to get my chest, so I can really inhale the scent. Then I light a candle and get to relaxing.

A little tip, use the Lush body wash in “Twilight” during your night time shower, it has a very similar scent to the lotion.

What I think:

Sleeping is tough for me, and I wasn’t expecting this lotion to be a fix all. I don’t think it is helping me fall asleep, but it does help me to relax, which is pretty close!

Is this a product I will continue to purchase? I think it is! It smells amazing, is pretty clean, does its general job, and the product itself is purple!

You can purchase the “Sleepy” lotion, Here!

The 3.1oz, which is what I got, retails for $9.95.

I hope this short post was some how helpful! What Is your favorite thing to help you sleep?

Thank you for reading. 💜

My Lip Routine!

lip routine

Sorry that I have been a bit M.I.A lately, life has been busy! On to the post!

I have crazy dry lips, so I kind of obsess over my routine for them. Make note, I do this twice daily! Before I do my makeup and after I wash it all off.

I start by exfoliating my lips. I bounce around between the ones that I have, but my all time favorite, and most repurchased, is the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. It is $9 and I highly recommend it! I then use one of the 100’s of lip balm type products that I have to moisturize. I have been using my EOS in Honeydew Honey Suckle a lot lately, it is very spring like.

I also thought it would be fun to show you my most reached for lip paring, as of now, as well!

It is Milani’s lip liner in “Spice” and Pacifica’s power of love lipstick in “Nudie Red”. I love these two products. They are a beautiful pairing and feel fantastic on the lips. They also last a pretty long time on the lips, even through eating!

What is your lip routine?!
