My Recent Makeup Favorites | Cruelty Free and mostly inexpensive!

It has been ages since I have shared my current favorite makeup products.

Now seemed to be as good a time as ever!

Omitting two products, all of the products are in the drugstore price range, and all are cruelty free!

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Blur Primer $8 Here

Not only do I use this primer to improve the look of my pores, but I love using this primer all over my face.

It minimizes the look of my pores in my problem areas, but always helps to create a blank canvas on the rest of my face.

Kokie Be Bright Illuminating Concealer “Light” $8 Here.

I believe that I received this product in a past Ipsy bag, and I am glad I did!

The shade allows me to cover spots, and the illuminating properties also make it great for the under eye area, with out creasing!

Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation “Snow” $36 Here

To be completely candid, I HATED this foundation at first. But, with recent medical and medicine changes, my skin has gotten more oily than it ever has been.

Now, I am in love. It lasts through out my work day and actually seems to control oil as it claims.

Well worth the $36 price tag!

I 🖤 Revolution “Rose Gold Glow” $7 Here

I was attracted to this product at first due to the packaging. It is a pink and rose gold chocolate bar! But it really is the product that gets me.

Inside the compact you have a nice mirror, the packaging is sturdy. For $7 these highlights are fantastic! They won’t blind you from space, but they are more than subtle.

On the face, both shades work with my light complexion.

I 🖤 Revolution “Bronze and Glow” $7 Here

Have I mentioned I am obsessed with bronzer lately? Because I really am.

The packaging for this product has all the perks as the “Rose Gold Glow” duo does…

But, with the benefits of a matte bronzer! The shade of this bronzer is perfect for my skin tone, and so is the highlight!

Did I mention that this particular duo also smells faintly like chocolate?

Hard Candy Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss “Pink Cadillac” $6 Here

The shade itself is a super light pink. It does not show up on my lips, but this is what I want for how I use it! On no makeup or light makeup days, I love this gloss to give my lives a little life and plumpness.

The gloss does make my lips a bit fuller, but it doesn’t make them tingle or burn like I have found other plumping glosses to. The smell is not over powering, and it isn’t as stick has I find other glosses to be!

Black Moon Liquid Lipstick “Warrior” $18 Here

The formula is long lasting and comfortable. It’s so comfortable that it’s easy to forget that you even have lipstick on!

The shade “Warrior” itself is a pretty dusty nude, that leans pink. It looks more mauve in the tube than it applies on me. But, I think the shade that it does come out as is stunning.

Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lip “Sueno De Coco” $7 Here

This liquid lip is part of the Colour Pop and I Luv Sarahii collaboration.

It is the typical Colour Pop Ultra matte formula, which I really enjoy. In fact, I really like all over the Colour Pop liquid formulas!

The shade is a ready nude and I am obsessed with it. This is probably the lip product that I have been wearing the moss recently.

Here are the products all on my face! For my lips I went with “Warrior”. And yes, that is the lighter highlight from the “Rose Gold Glow” popping in my inner corner!

Now I want to know, what are your recent Cruelty Free favorites?

ILuvSarahii x Colourpop Collection | Review and Swatches

I have to say. I love Colorpop. Their formulas, packaging- everything!

To be honest, I haven’t watched much of ILuvSarahii, but the collaborations I have seen her put out just speak to me.

I bought the bundle on Colourpops website for $39, it is currently on sale for $31.20!

You can also purchase all of the products separately.

Through My Eyes 16 pan eye palette $23 currently on sale for $18.40

First and foremost, the packaging is really cute, and totally my aesthetic. It is they typical sturdy cardboard packaging.

There are a variety of shades. You can get a ton of looks out of this palette. Neutral, blue looks, red looks. It has everything you need in a palette, in my opinion anyway. I have traveled with it and it was perfect.

Row one:

  • Lúcido: A champagne metallic.
  • Wild Soul: A matte mustard
  • Mesmer-eyez: A metallic Gold
  • Sandalwood: A light matte brown

Row two

  • In a wink: A matte cream
  • Euphoric: A matte red orange
  • Canela: A warm brown with some glitter
  • Lomo: A shimmery red

Row Three

  • Emerald Dream: A metallic emerald
  • Muze: A metallic Copper
  • Divina: A deep matte purple
  • Flecks: A cool brown metallic

Row Four

  • Nostalgia: A matte dusty rose pan, it when used pulls orange, no idea how it manages this.
  • Moody: A matte teal
  • Nocturne: A metallic Cranberry
  • Misbehave: A matte cranberry

The shades are all pigmented and buttery, true to the Colourpop formula.

I did want to show a comparison to the little ILuvSarahii x Dose of Colors palette. I think that they work great in conjugation. The Colourpop one really looks like a larger version. If you were thinking of getting the Dose of Colors palette, I would recommend skipping it for the Colourpop one. It has more options, works just as well, and is less pricey.

Lip Bundle #3 $16 on sale for $12.80 you can also get them individually for $5.20

This is ILuvSarahii’s third lip bundle with Colourpop. (I may pick up the other two.)

It contains two Ultra Matte Lips and one Ultra glossy lip.

  • Sueño De Coco: A matte light brown.
  • Glass Lip: A neutral glittery gloss
  • Dulcet: A matte orange red

I think Sueño De Coco is my new favorite liquid lip. The CP matte liquid lip formula is great. It is long lasting and inexpensive!

The look

  • To prime my eyes I used the original Urban Decay primer potion. I set it with In a Wink.
  • I used a fluffy brush used Sandal Wood as a transition. I just placed it all over.
  • I used a bit smaller of a brush and used Wild Soul to add warmth to the look.
  • I then used a pointed crease brush and placed Euphoric on my outer corner and into my outer crease.
  • I then put some glitter primer on my lid and and put Emerald Dream all over my lid.
  • Lastly I popped Lúcido on my inner corner

  • I lined my lower lash line with Moody
  • I blended it out with Sandal Wood and Wild Soul.

For my lips I used Sueño De Coco and layered Glass Lip over it.

Over all:

I love this collection! I can’t stop using it. If the colors speak to you like they did me, I would pick it up while it is on sale. You will not be disappointed!

What is your favorite ColourPop palette?

Ipsy January 2019| First impressions!

With it being the beginning of the new year, I feel that I am hold my Subscriptions to higher standards. I am hoping the quality of them this month will set the standard for their quality for the rest of 2019.

Let’s get into Ipsy and see what kind of year it is going to be.

Ipsy is $10 a month. You receive 5 deluxe sample-full sized beauty products or makeup. It is supposed to be geared to your likes, based on their quiz.

The bag itself

The bag is cute, reminds me of spring. It is not something I will use though, passing it on to a friend. That is no big deal tough.

So Susan Dream Maker Light Shifting Highlighting Cream “POP Star”

I have wanted to play with cream products more, so I was pleased to receive this high light.

1st Impression: Blinding! Blends out best with your fingers or a beauty blender.

Illamasqua Coloring Pencil “Honour”

This is the first Illamasqua product I have ever tried! I am actually really excited about this, which is silly because it is just a brown eye liner.

1st impression: The product is creamy and lasted a long time in my water line. I think this is my new go to liner!

Hola Neon Velvet Liquid Lipstick “DF”

I have never heard of this brand. But, it was nice to receive a full sized liquid lip. I do love trying new to me brands.

1st Impression: The color is really pretty. It last quite a while, then I decided to drink some water. Then it came off patchy. So, don’t expected it to last through drinking or eating. But, what does last through it?

Akar Mini Care Lip Butter

I feel like I have heard of this brand before. Anyway, I have been in the market for a product to repair my winter worn lips.

1st Impression: The lip butter is super creamy. My lips actually felt really nice the rest of the day. I can see myself going through this rather quickly.

Jeju:en Sheet Masks

I will be honest, when I read the names I actually laughed out loud. I’m so mature.

I haven’t tried these masks yet, but I am anxious to see how well they work. Keep yours eyes out for an empties post, they may be in there with a mini review!

Ipsy Add Ons.

I took the opportunity this month to purchase two add ons. I really enjoy this new program!

Luxie Small Contour Brush added on for $3

I have said it a million times. I LOVE Luxie brushes.

1st Impression: I used the Wet n’ Wild contour duo and it blended out seamlessly extremely quickly. Great brush from Luxie as always.

Tarte Double Duty Beaty Make Every Moment Count Cheek Palette added on for $12

What a steal!!

I love Tarte blushes, so I jumped on this as soon as I saw it.

1st Impression: I used the shade “Love”. Must I say more besides Tarte Blush? They have my favorite blush formula. Love this palette, I am so glad I added it to my bag!

Here are all the products that I tried on my face! Please ignore my too bold brows.

Over all?

I am super happy with this bag! I am really looking forward to what Ipsy has to bring for 2019.

Boxy Charm Oct 2018 | Alter Ego

I don’t know how to start this post. I have no motivation today. Work was a struggle to get through and I just want to sleep.

But, I wanted to get this post up so that I could get the contents of my BoxyCharm put away.

BoxyCharm is $21 a month, it contains five full sized makeup and beauty products.

It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara $24

I have gone through a few sample sizes of this mascara and I really like it. I never buy high end mascaras so I love getting them in boxes, especially when it is one that I know I enjoy.

It is Cruelty Free

Get 10% off the It Cosmetics website plus 3 free samples until 11/15/18 with code JUST4YOUBOXY

Dermovia Lace A Peel black bamboo charcoal peel off mask $30

This mask seems pretty neat. You apply the product to your face then use the lace masks to compress it into your skin for 15-20 minuets.

I will have to give it a try and let you know if it is worth the $30 price tag.

Brand claims to be cruelty free

Pür Midnight Masquerade Palette $38

This palette claims to be a full face palette. The large pans are the face products and the the small ones are shadows. FYI, the only matte is a dark brown shadow.

I am going to try to do a full face with this in a future post.

Above are some of the shades swatched. Searches aren’t reliable when it comes to how a product will look on your face, but right now I don’t think I will get a nice look with this on my fair skin.

Pür is Cruelty Free and this palette is vegan friendly.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick “K-Dub” $20

Thankfully, I got a shade I didn’t already have a full size of. I did have an unopened sample size that I am going to throw in with my best friends birthday gift.

It isn’t a shade I would gravitate toward, but I will definitely try it sense I love the formula.

I really want to pick up the shade “Bow N’ Arrow” and “Tank Girl”

Kat Von D is Cruelty Free

Farmacy Beauty Green Clean Makeup melting balm $22

I am quite happy to have gotten this in the box, I have been wanting to give it a try. I like the color of it and it smells nice. I hope it works well.

Farmacy is Cruelty Free

Over all, this isn’t the best or worst box. If the palette works or is at least good quality it will be a good box.

The Green Clean and mascara make the box worth it for me. I wish I would have gotten a different lip shade. I don’t much like pink. As for the face mask, I am going to have to try it to form any type of feelings towards it.

BoxyCharm September 2018 | Wild Flower

This picture has NOTING to do with this post, be here I am looking all sweaty and wrecked holding my cousins new puppy gambit! He snuggled me for hours 😍.

We do not deserve dogs.

Now for BoxyCharm things. I am currently on the waitlist for the December BoxyCharm Luxe, after I saw how great September’s was, I got sucked in.

But for now, here is the basic BoxyCharm, which is $21 a month.

Pretty Vulgar Nightingale Smoky Eye Palette $35

The packaging is super cute, but for some reason I never felt the pull to purchase any of the Pretty Vulgar palettes. Probably because of the layout inside.

I am boring and just prefer uniformity over cute packaging. I also don’t gravitate to cool tones.

Here are some of the shades swatches. They are all super pigmented and creamy, I will have to play with this some and update y’all.

Laura Geller Baked and Brighten Blush Tropic Hues $28

I have wanted to try the Baked and Brighten blushes for a while, but have not wanted to spring the money. I was really excited when I opened my BC and saw this baby.

Totally a shade I would have picked my self. I love the wind bitten cheek look.

Alamar Cosmetics Ojitos Brush Set $18

I was stoked when I saw this as a box spoiler. I was going to buy these brushes anyway.

The set comes with a smaller I guess packing brush, a blending crease brush, and a flat liner brush.

Lorac Pro Liquid Lip Sienna $19

I feel like I always get liquid lips, which is fine, I very rarely buy lip products. I did just order like 5 from Dose of Colors though.

Anyway, I have never tried a Lorac lip product. So this should be interesting.

For sure a shade that is up my alley.

Butter London Stroke of Wow Roll on Liner $19

Look! We get to try a gimmick!

I am intrigued….

Very black…and the straightest line I have ever made!!! I have a bad tremor from being on Lithium so long, liner is a struggle.

Will this help? Stay tuned for future posts to find out.

That is it for my BoxyCharm this month! I am happy with it. Got two things I wanted anyway, two I never thought about but may be nice, and one neat liner.

What was in your BoxyCharm? What so you want to see reviewed?

Ipsy August 2018 | Selfie with no filter

Today was definitely a Monday. Nothing at work would work. I feel like I wasted 8 hours of my day because nothing got done. But, I did come home to an Ulta package which was nice!

This post however, is about my August Ipsy bag.

The bag itself is a canvas material. It’s orange and yellow, seems nicely made. I might actually get some use out of this one, it seems like it would hold a lot of products.

Pixi Beauty Blush Duo “Peach Honey”

Pixi is a great brand and I have heard some good things about their beauty Blush duos.

I think these look more like highlights, but I will definitely get some use out of them.

Juice Up Sheet Masks in BlackBerry and Kale

These masks are supposed to provide the same benefits to your skin that drinking the particular juice type would.

I have never heard of the brand Lab for You, so I am not sure on their cruelty free stance.

Quai Volume Spray

I have never used a volume spray before. I guess you spray it all over your hair before blow drying. I will have to try it on my next night out and see how it goes.

Huda Beauty Liquid Lip “Bombshell”

I have never tried a Huda lip product and I am so excited! These are like $20 so I was shocked to see a full sized one in my Ipsy!

The shade is definitely up my alley!

The Balm Foiled Again eyeshadow “Locked Up”

I would usually depot the shadows I get in Ipsy, but this packaging is just too cute. The Balm always has super cute packaging.

I think this looks like a full sized shadow pan! The shade is a really pretty metallic silver, I can’t wait to use it in a look. Maybe a dark halo eye?

That is it for my Ipsy bag this month. I am really pleased with my bag! Geeze, just the Huda Liquid Lip makes it worth it alone. It’s like I got it half off and some bonus products!

BoxyCharm Aug 2018 |Life of the Party

This has been the longest week of my life. I swear it has been Thursday for three days.

But, thankfully tomorrow is Friday! Unthankfully, I work in the morning-per usual. However, I can not sleep, so I am finally going to unbox my Boxy Charm!

Laura Lee Los Angels Party Animal Palette $19

I was very excited to see that this palette would be included in this months Box. I love Laura and have wanted to buy her products badly, but tend to forget about products that aren’t at Sephora or Ulta. I am going to make it a point to purchase from Indie brands, not that this is completely an indie brand..but, you get what I mean.

If you love playing with color you will love this palette! There is an assortment of mattes, shimmer, and Even a metallic shade.

Upon swatching the shadows I promptly went on her site and ordered Cats Pajamas and Boss Babe, Nudie Patootie was sold out other wise I would have purchased it also.

Use code LLACHARM25 for 25% off her site until 9/15/18 I legit save like $17!

House of Lashes “Siren” $9-12

I am not sure why the past month has been a month full of falsies for me. I have found some I really love, and learned what styles I like.

This is not that. I am sure they will look great on someone but they are way too full for me.

SmashBox Be Legendary Lipstick “Bombtastic” $21-24

I do love smash box, so I was glad to see one of their products in the box.

Then I saw the color…

Holy bubble gum pink. I might wear this, but highly unlikely. The first swatch is it layered a few times, the bottom is one swatch.

Bang Beauty Gel Liner “Chocolate” $22

I don’t have a brown gel liner, and I have been wanting to pick one up! Now I don’t have to.

I apologize for the swatch, I was too lazy to grab a brush, so I tried to use my fat finger.

Anyway, the product feels nice and I like the shade!

Wander Baggae Claim Gold Eye Masks $13

What can I say, I love eye masks. They are so relaxing, this is a win for me.

Adesse Sweet Almond Cuticle Oil $18

I will be honest, I take crap care of my nails. I’m a manager at a vacation rental company, but my nails look like I work with my hands all day.

Now that I have a Cuticle oil that is easy to use, I had one in a pot, I am more likely to start treating them better. I also really like the brand Adesse for nail polish, so that is a plus.

That’s it for the box! I have to say, another $21 well spent! I got something I already wanted, something I needed, something I enjoy, and something I need to use. There are two duds in the box, but they will be easy to pass on, I have friends who will love the lipstick and lashes.

Man, I love BoxyCharm 💜
