Ipsy Mystery Bag | I believe this is March?

Of course I couldn’t get just one $14 mystery bag. And yes, there is one more on the way!

If my memory serves me correctly this is the March Mystery bag. The bag itself is super cute, let’s just start with that.

In the mystery bags ( the $14 version) you get five random products that were featured in that certain months glam bag. (The one that has a $12 subscription fee.)

Hanhoo Bubble Up Peeling Pads

I have never heard of a bubble up peeling pad, so we are already starting out on a great note. These bubble pads are meant to cleanse the skin of surface oil, dirt, makeup, and dead skin cells. While brightening and smoothing the skins appearance. There are five in the pack and they recommend you use it once to twice a week.

Beauty For Real Lip Balm “Hannah”

I really love products like this for the summer time. It gets very humid where I live, so I tend to do the minimal makeup thing. Tinted balms like this are perfect for that routine. It doesn’t hurt that the shade is really pretty either.

Defy & Inspire Nail Polish “Pinky Swear”

First of all, how is this polish only sold at Target, but I got it through Ipsy? Weird. Not sure how I feel about it. I guess Target teamed up with Ipsy?

As for the color itself. I usually don’t go for pink nails, but I really like this shade! It’s a really like pink and I think it will look fantastic.

H2O+ Oasis Ultra Hydrating Cream

As I have mentioned in my last few posts, my skin has been crazy dry lately. So, this little tube will come in handy. I also really like gel moisturizer formulas. I am thinking I am going to really end up liking oasis.

Real Her Eyeshadow “Victorious”

I have had a few of the Real Her palettes, and always pass them along because I just didn’t love the formula.

But this single shadow, I love it. It’s creamy and pigmented and looks beautiful on the eyes. Why can’t their palettes be this good!?

That is everything I got in my mystery bag, including a super cute keychain. I just enjoy surprises, so I think these bags are a super fun way to experience products from past months. I only get Ultimate, so the stuff in the regular glam bags are new to me, and it’s neat. I may also purchase some of the Glam Bag Plus mystery bags, they retail for $32.

What do you think of the Mystery bags? What is your favorite product I received?

Thank you for reading 🍓

Ipsy Ultimate | November 2019

On this fine Saturday, I bring y’all a late Ipsy Ultimate Unboxing for the month of November!

Is it worth $50?

Let’s find out!

The Bag

This month we got a large travel makeup bag. I think this bag is very cute and will definitely be using it. It is roomy and well made. Perfect for the trip I have coming up next week!

Soo AE Panda Eye Brightening Masks

This is a mask I have tried before. I did enjoy it, and the cuteness adds a nice touch to your pamper session. However, you can get them at Walmart 2/$5. Not exactly something I want in my $50 box. But, I’m not disappointed about having them again.

Beau Gachis Concealer Brush

This is a nice, basic concealer brush. You could also use it to pack shadows on your lid. It seems to be made well and none of the hairs were shedding. This isn’t my preferred way to blend or apply concealer, but I have been enjoying it for eyeshadows.

It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser

This is a cleanser I have been wanting to try, so I was happy to see it included. Hopefully, their “skin-transforming” claim holds up! I could definitely use some skin transformation during these cold months.

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum

I know this serum is, or is almost the price of the box. This isn’t a product I will be using for myself. However, I was able to gift my mom nice skin care- and she is loving this serum! That’s worth it enough for me.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk

I will never be mad about receiving dry shampoo, lord knows I need it. I have already used this one. It works well, doesn’t make my scalp itch, and doesn’t have an over whelming scent.

Youth to People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream

I haven’t had to chance to try much from Youth to the People. This little sample may be a good way to dip my toes in the water.

Smith and Cult Nail Polish “Bite your Kiss”

This polish is a really pretty, dark, wine red color. This is usually my nail polish color of choice, so that worked out well!

Context Matte Lipstick “Sweet Emotion”

This is a brand I have never heard of. It’s fun to get to try a new to me brand.

The shade is a really pretty burnt red shade. I think it is perfect for this time of year. The formula isn’t too drying, and there is no scent that I can detect.

Billion Dollar Brows Best Seller Kit

This is really neat. In this get we got a brow highlighting pencil, a brow pencil, a brow brush, and a brow gel.

I have really been enjoying using these brow products. The shade matches well, and the gel has great hold!

Benefit Cosmetics High Beam

Fun fact, I have never tried High Beam before. Benefit has never been a brand I was super into. They aren’t cruelty free, so I never felt to inclined to try either.

The shade is a light pink. It didn’t really highlight my face like other liquid highlights do, which I think is intended. I have a feeling my little sister would love this, so I am going to pass it on to her. Again, I’m glad I will at least be able to give someone else the product, makes it not a total dud for me.

Gi Gi Gorgeous The only Blush Duo “Authentic and Pride”

I am so excited about this! I love GiGi!! I am guessing she has come out with her own line, and now I want everything! This blush does say it is cruelty free and vegan.

You get a more peachy shade that is matte, and a pinky shade with some glitter. I don’t go for pinks much, but when both shades are mixed, it shows up stunning on the cheeks!

Wander Beauty Wandress Rush Palette

We have a six pan palette from Wander beauty, subscription services favorite brand. There are 4 cream metallics, and two shimmers. I have gotten a palette from them in this formula and layout, just different shades, but I can’t find it. Anywhere.

I think this is a great little palette for the Holidays! The creams are beautiful and don’t crease on my lids. The two shades that look matte in the pictures, aren’t. Which is unfortunate. However, I was able to make them work. I can see myself reaching for the shades Blitz and Avenue a lot.

Full face of the products

Here is a hideous picture of me. Fun fact, I was broken up with, over the phone, after two years, While I had this makeup on. The shadows lasted through a few tears. Good going Wander Beauty.

Over all thoughts?

I liked this box! I got a lot I’ll use and love, but I was also able to give my mom something she is really enjoying, and I will get to give my little sister a clue classic piece of makeup.

I think Ipsy Ultimate will be sticking around for a while.

What was in your Ipsy, of any level, this month?

A very late BoxyLuxe unboxing!

I have dropped the ball recently.

My motivation has not been present and I didn’t not want to just throw up junk posts. My motivation may not be all the way back, but I wanted to get this unboxing up before I lost any inkling of motivation again.

Cover FX Perfector Face Palette “Light/Medium” $45

I think this was one of the most anticipated items in the box. For good reason, Cover FX makes amazing quality products, it’s cruelty free, and I mean look at it.

I am in a Boxy Charm swap group, and I saw a lot of people got the wrong shade or palette, so I was relieved when I got the correct one. This did not come in a box, like it would when you purchase it…I just feel uneasy about that for some reason.

Moda Brushes Powder and Soft Glow Set $29.99

I have said it 100 times and I will say it again, I love getting brushes in these boxes.

Moda brushes are very nice quality, soft and sturdy. The packaging of the brushes also says that they are 100% vegan, yay!

Iconic Eyebrow Cushion “Medium” $40

This is an interesting product. I feel like it is going to take some work to get a handle on using. It also maybe a bit too dark for me currently.

Wander Beauty Lift Off Purifying and Brightening Peel Off Mask $34

My room mate and I tried this mask right after I opened the box and we both love it!

I have been using it frequently since I received it and my skin has never looked this good! My skin is clearer and my complexion over all looks really nice.

Lily Lashes Exclusive Faux Mink Gaia Lashes $24.99

I very rarely wear lashes. I do want to start wearing them more though.

The lashes look dramatic, but not over the top. Not something I would wear every day. But, definitely for a night out or an event.

It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream transforming Moisturizing Super Cream $48

I love this Cream. I think this along with the mask are doing great things for me. I think I am going to have to repurchase it when I run out. Well worth the $48 that it costs!

Becca Ultimate Lipstick Love “Chocolate” $24

This lipstick shade is right up my alley.

The formula is moisturizing, the shade is nice, the packaging is pretty. I think this one is a win.

Morphe 15 Shade Artisty Palette “15D Day Slayer” $16

I am one of those people who genuinely likes Morphe. Which is a little unfortunate, they get into a lot of sticky situations it seems.

HOWEVER, I don’t like this palette. When I used it it seemed like all of the shadows just muddied together. I may give it another try, but I doubt it.

Deborah Lipman “O’Donna and Modern Love” $20

I rarely paint my nails. These shades are both really pretty though and smaller bottles so I may end up getting use of them! I usually pass on Nail polish, but I am actually gonna keep these.

Bonus: BoxyCharm Train case $20

I will never say no to a good train case!

This BoxyCharm one is rose gold faux leather. The material and stitching appears to be nice quality. I think this is a great add on.

Over all, I think this box was well worth the $49.99!!!

Here is a picture off all the products on my face.

What was in your BoxyLuxe?

Goddess Provisions July 2018 | Water is Sacred

I love being on and in the water. It makes me feel so at peace. But, I have to force myself to drink water. For some reason I just hate it! I wish I could be one of those super healthy people who only drink water.

This months Goddess Provisions Box is centered around water. Goddess Provisions is around $30-35 a month.

This months mantra:

“I allow transformation to flow through me with grace.”

I love it! Now, for the contents of the box.

Mazi Turkish Towel $20

We all know what a towel is for. The size of this towel is a bit bigger than a hand towel. I think it will be perfect to dry my hair. My hair is pretty wavy with some curls, it gets really frizzy and regular towels don’t help it.

I got the one The is black and gray tie dye. There were two other options, but I got the one I wanted!

House Of Intuition Bath Salts $8

Sadly, I do not have a bath tub. Just a standing shower. I will be sending this to my little sister in a care package. I do think this is a nice little extra to throw in a gift to someone.

I am currently looking for an apartment, a bath tub is one of my requirements.

Love By Luna Nail Polish “Scorpio” $18

This shade is a dark blue/green with glitter. I can not wait to get it on my nails! It is infused with obsidian and is meant to be worn during times of introspection and healing.

Shanti Bar Spirulina Bar $3

I love getting snacks in this box. Check out my snap chat or Instagram soon to see what Myself or Coty thought of this bar!

Coal Miners Daughter Sea Salt Spray $12.50

I used sea salt spray for the first time while I was in Mexico and I love how it made my hair look. I am going to have to give this one a go! Oh, it smells really good by the way.

Art Naturals Konjac Sponges $10

I already have this set and am currently using the white one. I am really liking it, so I am happy to have gotten more.

Sodalite $5

Sodalite promotes peace and tranquility during murky waters. Carry it to remind your self to trust your instincts and feel a deeper connection to your intuition.

I think I am going to start carrying this stone with me on nights out. We are in the St.Louis area. For the most part it is not as bad as people make it seem, but you can never be too safe!

I love this box!! Every month it inspires me. If you enjoy crystals and believe in their power and the true inspiration and power of Mother Nature, like I do, than you NEED this subscription. Honestly, it has been a great tool in helping me grow my beliefs and knowledge.

What is one product you want to see me review? I am really needing ideas.

Thank you for reading 🌊

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box March 2018|A beautiful masterpiece

I really do enjoy Vegan Cuts. It is $25ish a month and you get 4-5 full or sample sized vegan, Cruelty Free, and usually clean beauty products.

Youth to People Kale + Green Tea Spinach Vitamins age prevention cleanser $4 Value

“Lightweight cleanser all-in-one makeup remover, face wash, and toner”

I have seen this brand around, but haven’t ever really heard anything about them. The ingredients seem great. I am going to give it a try and let you all know how it works out.

Karma Organic Nail Polish Remover Wipe $1 Value

“Made with soy bean oil and relaxing lavender “

I love little nail polish remover wipes like this for travel. I want some that work well. If these do I think I’ll order a whole box. I am going to be traveling a lot coming up!

Dr’s Remedy Nail Polish “Passion Purple” $17

The shade is pretty. I will probably wear it. I am sure if I don’t I have a friend who will. Can always toss it in with a gift 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cosmedica Skincare Rose Gold Serum $21.95

I wonder if this could be a dupe for that one super hyped serum in the pretty purple bottle! If this Serum makes your skin glow like it is meant to I am going to use it a ton this summer.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Metallic “Synth” and lip tar brush $36

I am in to the Rose gold metallic lip thing. I thought I’d hate metallic lips, but I’m sort of ok with them. I also don’t think I’ve owned a single lip brush until now, so that’s nice.

I do love the shade. But, the application process just seems like such a hassle. I’ll try it, but I’m not sure how often I’ll actually use it.

That’s it for this months Box, I am not disappointed!!!

What did you think of this months Box?

What is your favorite Serum?

Ipsy Un-bagging | April 2017

Video Companion!

I had originally canceled my Ipsy subscription, but after a few months away I started to miss it. So, I re subscribed!

This months theme is side show, and the bag definitely reflects a fair like atmosphere. I think it is really cute, not really big enough to hold much, but cute none the less.

Theorie Marula Oil Transforming Hair Serum

I recently cut six inches of dead, fried hair off my head. Now that it is shorter I am really determined to keep it healthy and help it grow.

This oil smells fantastic, and seems like it will do a nice job at hydrating my ends.

Meg Twin Nail “Lovey Dovey”

The shades are a blueish grey and a nude. I actually really love them. Not the most spring colors, but I am not really concerned with that.

Peek Eye Will Stay Naturally Long Wearing Shadow “250k8”

This shade is really pretty.

I have tried products from this brand before and loved them, so I have really high hopes for this shadow.

ColourPop Creme Gel Liner “DTLA”

This shade is a rich navy blue.

I have actually never tried a ColourPop liner, I was really excited to see this in my bag. It seems really creamy, hopefully it is worth all they hype it gets.

Ofra Rendezvous Blush Single

I love Ofra products, and this blush is a stunning nude.

This is my very first Ofra blush, but I really do not think it is going to let me down.

Overall

I am so happy that I resubscribed to Ipsy! The only disappointment I got this month was that I did not get the Lisa Frank brush, but I can just buy that when it is actually released.

I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading. What did you get in this months Ipsy bag? Comment below!!

Ipsy Un-bagging November 2016 | My last Ipsy.

in

Before I begin the actual un-bagging, I want to explain why this is my last Ipsy bag. I have been with Ipsy for a little over a year, and have realized I rarely use what they send me. I have also noticed that I get a lot of repeats and very rarely does anything match my beauty profile.  I also want to include that I have canceled Petit Vour as well for a few months, but just so I can get through some sample products I have!

Products in my LAST Ipsy bag:

As usual I want to talk about the bag itself first. This bag is really cute! I will actually use this a ton. The constellations are really neat and it seems to be a good quality bag. I have to say, I will miss the makeup bags themselves.

  • The Eyeko Skinny Liquid liner, mini. This is a product I have gotten from either Ipsy or Birch Box before. I do not like it. It never fully dries on me, so it smudges pretty bad. I wanted to try it out again before I wrote this post, and yet again it disappointed me.
  • The Formula X mini nail polish in “Huntress”. I had actually opted out of receiving nail polish, because I continued to get the Fomula X minis. I do not really like the Formula X formula, so eh…the color is nice though.
  • The Hey Honey Good Morning Facial Serum. I will probably end up using this,  I enjoy facial serums and other products I have tried from this brand!
  • The Ciate London Liquid Velvet in “Diva”. I can always use a red liquid lipstick. I actually really like mini lip products, I never go through a full sized, so this just seems more efficient to me. I do plan on doing an actual review of this product, Ciate London seems to being growing in popularity, so this may end up being a line of interest!
  • The Benefit Porefessional Primer. This is the itty tiny baby sample you can get for free at Sephora. It is an okay primer, but would have rather got one I have tried a million times over.

I hope you enjoyed my last Ipsy un-bagging! What did you get in your bag? What do you think of Ipsy? Comment below! Want more B&T? Check this out! You can also find me on Snapchat and Instagram as manda_janette

Influenster #PepVoxBox UN-Boxing

101

Happy first day of October!! My favorite month of the year!
Tonight I am bringing you an Influenster UN-boxing. If you do not know what Influenster is, it is a site where you review products and increase your social impact to get free stuff. I have gotten a couple different boxes from them. If you would like to sign up, Do so here!

Yes, that is an affiliate link, you get to sign up to earn free stuff and it helps me out as well. Which I would really love(:

This box is a back to college theme, which is fantastic for me. As a 20 year old pre-law student I love anything free, especially if it is something I will use up.

Let’s get in to this box.

Pure Ice Shine Gel Polish: In my main picture I have shown you everything I got. I am going to start off with something I have been enjoying already. I got the gel polish in “shock and awesome”, which is a beautiful berry shade. I have been wearing it on my toes and love it! I also got the gel top coat, and I really have noticed that it is making the polish last longer on my toes. I did want to note that the shade takes a couple coats to make it opaque and the formula is streaky. It is under $3 though, so I wasn’t expecting something great.

7th Heaven Exfoliator & Masque: I love face masks and the scent of lemon. This is both! I have not tried this out yet, but if you follow my Snap Chat (manda_janette) you will get to see me do so.

Max Factor Eyeliner and Mascara: If you have didn’t already hear, a small line of Max Factor products have been released in the US. If you also didn’t hear, they are owned by Proctor and Gamble meaning they are not Cruelty Free. I am conflicted of actually trying and reviewing these products of not. If I do not I will end up throwing them in a give away at some point during the holiday season.

Simple Skin Care Facial Cleansing Wipes:I already know I love this product! I threw the small travel pack in my purse. Facial wipes always come in handy.

Land O’ Frost Deli Snackers: This was actually a coupon to get the item for free. I, however, do not eat consume meat, but Josiah does. I am going to let him get some and do my review on them for influenster!  I think it is a little strange that right before I was chosen for this box I got a survey from them on my eating habits and did select that I do not consume meat, but whatever. He will enjoy it.

Kauai Coffee: We both tried these this morning and love them! It is just coffee in a K-cup that has a rich flavor. I put Pumpkin spice creamer in mine and it was amazing. The cups are also biodegradable, so this may be my coffee brand of choice from now on!

Over all: I got some awesome stuff I am already falling in love with! The 3 things I won’t use I have either some one in my house who will or will be included in a give away. I honestly do not think anything free can be a complete miss, so thank you Influenster!

Thank you so much for reading! What do you think of this box? Did you sign up for influenster? Comment below! Want more B&T? Read this next! You can also follow my Instagram and Snap Chat @manda_janette

Ipsy Un-Bagging September 2016

is

Hello loveys!

As I am sure you can tell from the title, we are going to be unbagging my Ipsy bag today! If you have been living under a rock and don’t know what Ipsy is, it is a beauty subscription where you get 4-5 sample to full sized beauty items for only $10 a month, plus a super cute bag! Sign up here!

Ipsy does not include prices on their card or on their sight, so I will be including personal value for each item. I got this idea from Jen Luvs Reviews on youtube and decided to give it a shot!

The theme this month is glamazon. I always like to start this type of post by talking about the bag itself, sense it is something I actually use. The bag seems to be made of pretty good quality material. The bag itself is black with gold shimmer in it, with a really pretty gold band in the center. On that band are little people that remind me of those things from The Blair Witch Project. But, that may be because I just saw the commercial for the new one. (Super Super PUMPED!!) I actually know exactly what I am doing with this bag, using it to hold part of a gift for a friend.

is1

Naked Cosmetics Advanced Aloe Cream: The first sample I pulled out of the bag is a moisturizer. I do like the brand naked cosmetics, they have some really pretty pigments. I actually had no idea that this brand made skin care products. It has no smell at all, which I prefer in skin care, and has made my skin really soft right after use. I will have to get some more use out of it and get back to y’all on it. However, there isn’t much actual product in this sample tube. Personal value $2

Amie Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish: Next up is a face scrub. This product came at the perfect time, I literally used up the last bit of mine this morning. This product apparently uses rice granules to lift out dirt and impurities from your pores. It is a really gentle exfoliator and smells like mango. I love mango. For some reason the smell makes me think of Freshman year of High School. The sample size for this product is really good! It is full to the top, and about the size of a travel toiletry. Personal value $5

Tarte Tarteist Mascara “Black”: Before I get into my actual thoughts on this product I want to give you my thoughts in mini mascaras. I love them. I prefer having them to full sized ones.I never go through a big one and just feel like I am wasting money, but with the smaller sized ones I feel like I am getting my moneys worth. But, this one I am not that happy with. The cap closes in a strange way, that causes me to be afraid it is going to just pop open and dry out. The formula also seems pretty gummy, so that throws me off as well. I will have to test this product out some more and let y’all know my full thoughts. Personal value: $5

Pixi by Petra Matte Luster Lipstick “Rose Naturelle”:

is3

Isn’t this color pretty?! That is pretty much the end of what I like about this product. It does not dry down matte, which I am not 100% sure if it is supposed to sense it is a “matte luster.” The sample size of this product is truly ridicules. It makes me think of a free Avon lipstick sample. There is no way I am going to use this, I will be surprised if I can even find it in an hour. Personal value: $0

Trust Fund Beauty nail polish “Champagne Socialite”

is4

I love this brand. It is cruelty free and vegan, which I obviously love. It is pretty difficult to find a cruelty free AND vegan polish where I live, so I am glad that I got this. It is a gorgeous shimmery nude color, which I personally think is perfect for fall!  Personal value: $10

Overall:

This isn’t the best Ipsy bag I have ever gotten, But it isn’t terrible either. Really the only product I am not happy with is the lipstick.

Overall Personal Value: $22

I can’t be mad about only spending $10, but getting a personal value of $22!

I really hope you enjoyed this un- bagging! What did you get in your Ipsy bag? What is your personal value of these products? Comment below! Want more B&T? August 2016 Ipsy UN-bagging! Check out last months un-bagging!
