My First Ipsy Glam Bag Plus!

Hitting you with double Ipsy un-boxing’s to makeup for my missed months!

I finally was able to subscribe to glam bag plus!!!!

It is $25 a month and you get 5-6 full size beauty and makeup items.

First, my add ons!

I love that Ipsy does add ons now! You can find some really awesome things for much less than retail value. They have even had those mini Huda palettes for like $12!

This months I picked…

Smashbox Cover Shot Major Metals

This one was $12, again much less than retail value. I have wanted to try Smashbox Shadows for ages, but never picked any up. I decided to take the chance, while I could get one for a cheaper price. This one is all metallic, and primarily warm toned. I am excited to give it a go!

Lovecraft Beauty Bronzer Palette

Another $12 add on! I have a weird bronzer addiction lately, so I couldn’t pass up a trio in such cute packaging. Love craft beauty is also cruelty free! The formula is really soft, and with three different shades, this palette can be used all year long.

Now to the actually box…

IL Makiage Icon High Volume and Intense Curl Mascara “Black” $25

One product down and the box is already paid for!

I have heard a ton about IL Makiage as a brand, so it is exciting to see something from them in an Ipsy Box. Hopefully the Mascara lives up to its “Iconic” name.

Is this brand CF?

GlamGlow Bubble Sheet Masks 3 for $27

This Mask is meant to be deep cleaning, so I am for it. But, Glam Glow is not CF to my knowledge, so I may end up passing these a long.

Illamasqua Lip Coloring Pencil Duo “Media and Lust” $21 each

Media is a more pink shade and Lust is a more red shade.

I have been getting a lot of Illamasqua in boxes lately!

Wander Beauty Wandress Seascape Escape Palette $25

I have a few things for Wander Beauty that I really enjoy, so I am excited to try this palette. I do believe that this is a newer product for them as well.

The formula is a little strange, so I am curious to see how it wears. The color scheme definitely reminds me of the beach! There is not a true matte shade. The one that appears matte has shimmer in it.

Yensa Tone Up Primer Essential Glow $35

I am really curious about this primer. It is full of good ingredients, and missing a lot of bad ones. It is also cruelty free.

My first Glam Bag Plus’s was definitely a good one and I am excited to see what the coming months bring!

Would you like to see any of these products reviewed?!

BoxyCharm Aug 2018 |Life of the Party

This has been the longest week of my life. I swear it has been Thursday for three days.

But, thankfully tomorrow is Friday! Unthankfully, I work in the morning-per usual. However, I can not sleep, so I am finally going to unbox my Boxy Charm!

Laura Lee Los Angels Party Animal Palette $19

I was very excited to see that this palette would be included in this months Box. I love Laura and have wanted to buy her products badly, but tend to forget about products that aren’t at Sephora or Ulta. I am going to make it a point to purchase from Indie brands, not that this is completely an indie brand..but, you get what I mean.

If you love playing with color you will love this palette! There is an assortment of mattes, shimmer, and Even a metallic shade.

Upon swatching the shadows I promptly went on her site and ordered Cats Pajamas and Boss Babe, Nudie Patootie was sold out other wise I would have purchased it also.

Use code LLACHARM25 for 25% off her site until 9/15/18 I legit save like $17!

House of Lashes “Siren” $9-12

I am not sure why the past month has been a month full of falsies for me. I have found some I really love, and learned what styles I like.

This is not that. I am sure they will look great on someone but they are way too full for me.

SmashBox Be Legendary Lipstick “Bombtastic” $21-24

I do love smash box, so I was glad to see one of their products in the box.

Then I saw the color…

Holy bubble gum pink. I might wear this, but highly unlikely. The first swatch is it layered a few times, the bottom is one swatch.

Bang Beauty Gel Liner “Chocolate” $22

I don’t have a brown gel liner, and I have been wanting to pick one up! Now I don’t have to.

I apologize for the swatch, I was too lazy to grab a brush, so I tried to use my fat finger.

Anyway, the product feels nice and I like the shade!

Wander Baggae Claim Gold Eye Masks $13

What can I say, I love eye masks. They are so relaxing, this is a win for me.

Adesse Sweet Almond Cuticle Oil $18

I will be honest, I take crap care of my nails. I’m a manager at a vacation rental company, but my nails look like I work with my hands all day.

Now that I have a Cuticle oil that is easy to use, I had one in a pot, I am more likely to start treating them better. I also really like the brand Adesse for nail polish, so that is a plus.

That’s it for the box! I have to say, another $21 well spent! I got something I already wanted, something I needed, something I enjoy, and something I need to use. There are two duds in the box, but they will be easy to pass on, I have friends who will love the lipstick and lashes.

Man, I love BoxyCharm 💜

Ipsy July 2018

This post will be quick and to the point. I am having one of my bad days, but did want to get a post up.

I need to start doing more than unboxing posts, but my inspiration is little to none.

*Ipsy is $10 a month. It contains 4-5 deluxe to full sized beauty items.

Callyssee Caffeine Sheet Masks x2

I do love Sheet Masks. I have a coffee bean eye cream that I think works well, so I have high hopes for theses.

The brand is cruelty free.

Elizabeth Mott Tapered Blending Brush

The handle is purple, the brush is very soft, and the brand is cruelty free. What is not to love?

I really enjoy getting brushes in my subscriptions.

Ella Eden Eye Shadow “Harmony”

I am probably going to depot this and put it in an empty palette. I do love single shadows though, they can be kind of fun. Just grab one and base a look around it.

The shade is really pretty and I don’t believe I have anything quit like it.

The brand is cruelty free.

Pacifica Coconut Blush

I love Pacifica. It is a fantastic cruelty free and vegan brand with some beautiful products.

Their coconut blushes are great. They are soft and pigmented.

I do like the shades that were in my duo. I could even use one as a bronzer. The shades are Beaming and Tenderheart. There is even a mirror on the back of the duo.

Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lip “Stepping Out”

I have never tried one of the Be Legendary Liquid lips, but I have wanted to.

I think the shade I got is the perfect starter shade for me,

I gravitate towards darker pinky or brown nudes.

Smashbox is Cruelty Free.

I am very pleased with my Ipsy bag this month. I look forward to see what next month brings.

What was in your Ipsy bag?

Ipsy December 2017 | Snow Globe

What it is: A beauty subscription that includes 4-5 deluxe sample and full sized products.

Cost: $10

This months Ipsy is in, and it’s giving me serious winter vibes!

The bag is a cute metallic silver, with silver glitter at the top and accented with Tiffany blue on the zipper and inside the bag. I love it!

Let’s see what’s inside…

Quai Hair Oil

Quai is a pretty pricey hair care brand, I do believe. I love hair oils. I have really dry and frizzy hair, so they always come in handy.

Smashbox Always On Gel Liner “Fishnet”

I love smashbox liners! I can always use another black pencil.

The swatch for this one stayed on for ages and did not smudge. I can’t wait to see how well it lasts on the eyes!

Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL

I love trying mascaras, and I am pretty sure the babies work better than the fullsizes😂. I believe Rodial is CF, correct me if I am wrong! I will let you know how this one works for me.

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer

Sadly, Rimmel is not CF😖. I will be passing this Primer on to someone else. I think this is the full-size, too bad I won’t be using it.

Luxie 239 Precision Shader Brush

Luxie makes my favorite brushes, so I am always extremely grateful when I receive one in my subscription boxes! This brush is extremely soft, and is going to come in handy when deepening my outer lid and crease.

That is it for my Ipsy bag! What did you get this month? Comment below!

*Ipsy May 2016* Greetings from…

imay2016

My Ipsy came the same day my Birch Box did. It was pretty nice. This month came with the card as usual, but it can be used as a post card to send back to them with little fill in the blank spots about your vacation. I am probably not going to do this. But, it is a nice gesture. The bag….OMG. I love the print. It is covered with different landmarks from around the world. There are also some elephants, kangaroos, and toucans. I wish it had a zipper instead of just a button, but I will still use this. Probably to carry lady products. Now let’s get in to the products.

INSPR Eye Full Fluff Brush

imay20161

I love getting tools and brushes in my Ipsy bags. This brush is really soft and will be nice for the crease. I can’t really find anything about it’s cruelty free status so if you know, let me know. The was also a brush in some peoples Ipsy bags from the brand Glamour Dolls and it was decorated with whales, I wish I would have gotten that one just to have.

SmashBox X-Rated Mascara

imay20162

Not too excited about this. This is not a brand I will use, for reasons I have probably made obvious by now. Even if I still used non-CF brands, I would not be excited about this. I haven’t heard many good things about this product, probably going to give this to my aunt.

Avene Miceller Water and Cleansing Lotion

imay20163 Okay, the Micellar samples are getting out of hand. I can’t find anything on this brands cruelty free status. Just that it was shady. But, I have some many micellar water things now that I am just going to give this to a friend who has been wanting to try one.

Mellow Cosmetics Lipstick in “Electro”

I am so excited about this product. The lipstick feels great and is a beautiful color. It is also from  CF brand, so now that I know a new one, if I like this product, I can order more! It is a matte lipstick, seems super soft, and smells really nice!

Peek Natural Lip Balm “Nom Nom”

Another CF item I am excited to get to try! I love lip balm, I have constant dry lips. This product also smells just like tea and I LOVE some tea! The tin in is in, with a slide off lid, is also very cute.

Overall, this isn’t the best Ipsy bag I have gotten, but there are a few things I am excited to try and review!

What do you think of these products? What did you get?

Sephora Favorites Bronze Bares All *Review*

I absolutely love getting the Sephora Favorites sets. Most of the time they are a fantastic value. Yes, the items are usually in smaller than fuller sized, but when you are someone with a ton of makeup like I am, It is a bit difficult to go through products. Let’s get into the review of the items, to decide if this set is worth the $40 that it costs. It claims to be a $115 value, just to add a little perspective to this review. Sunday FOTD Out and About

I had a nice day out and about today. We picked up some stuff we needed for the house, groceries, and some other things. P.S. I have a little makeup haul that will be posted soon!

While I was getting ready this morning I was going to use My Urban Decay Naked Palette to do my eyes. It is my go to when I am not trying to be super creative. When I was looking through my drawers for it, I am really unorganized I am working on it, I found the Smashbox Full Exposure Travel Palette under some other stuff! I got this as a little stocking stuffer over Christmas, but I never really played with it. I took the plunge and did so today.

0424162.jpg

To prime my eyes I used the Rimmel Hide the Blemish concealer in Ivory. I do not like this as a concealer, but it is actually a pretty great eye primer, it covers the dark veins and such. I used the light pink shade, which is labeled as “M3” on the back of the palette, as my transition/blending shade. I used the gray shade, labeled as “M6”, in my crease. The dark brown shade, “M1”, I used in my outer V. For my lid I used the sparkly pink shade, “S3”. This wasn’t light enough for me so I went in with the shade next to it, “S4” and placed it over top. I used the cream shade, “M4”, as my brow bone highlight and in my inner corner.

I then used my usual liquid liner, the Starlooks pro luxe pen in “jet”, to line my upper lash line and do a small flick. I then realized that the liner is FINALLY done, the pigmentation just wasn’t there. So I went over it with the Urban Decay Shadow in “Blackout”. This shade is available in the Naked 2 palette, but I purchased it in a single also, I never use a black shadow besides this one. It blows MAC “Carbon” out of the water.

On my lips is the Whipped liquid lipstick from Buxom in the shade “Centerfold” that I got in my April Ipsy bag!

I did my usual foundation routine, I try to use up products before opening new ones which for what I do isn’t a good idea. I have a ton of foundation just waiting to be opened. I set my face with the Coty Air Spun powder, besides my under eyes, I used the highlight shade in the Wet n’ Wild Contour Palette in the shade “Caramel Toffee”. I love using this powder to set my under eye area! I also used the contour shade in this palette to lightly contour.

I used the City Color Be Matte blush in “Papaya”. Used the Physicians Formula Season to Season bronzer in “light to medium” to bronze with.  I high lighted my face with the L’oreal True Match Lumi high lighter in “Rose”.

When I was finished I spritzed my face with MAC Fix +.

I hope you enjoyed this look! What makeup do you prefer to use? How was your Sunday? Let’s talk!
