Petit Vour Beauty Box | August 2020

Petit Vour Beauty Box is $15 a month. It contains 4-5 cruelty free, vegan, and usually clean beauty products.

Evio Cleansing Wipes $14

These wipes are biodegradable and made of hemp. They can remove makeup, cleanse skin, and keep it hydrated. I can always use more wipes and these seem to be a great option!

Josh Rosebrook Tinted Nutrient Day Cream x2 $2.50

Josh Rosebrook is a really nice, rather expensive brand. It will be neat to try one of their products. I am not sure what the tint is, as it doesn’t have a shade on the packets. This cream can be used to prep skin before makeup, or be worn alone for a glowy smooth finish.

Andalou Naturals Citrus Sunflower Shower Gel $3

This is a product I already own, and have yet to try. I am probably going to throw one into my travel bag for the lake this weekend.

Ursa Major Sublime Sage Spray Deodorant $18

I have never tried a spray deodorant, so this will be interesting. It is supposed to be instantly refreshing. And neutralizes odor causing bacteria; using plants, minerals, and enzymes.

Sahajan Brightening Mask $15

I could really use this right now. My skin looks dull and horrible. This mask has a blend of anti-inflammatory and brightening tumeric extract, oils, and glycolic acid to give the skin a glow.

I am really excited for everything in this months box, and I can’t wait to give it all a try.

My box came to a total of $52.50. For only $15!

BoxyCharm | August 2020

BoxyCharm is $25 a month. It contains 5 sample – full-sized beauty products.

Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Primer $20

I think I have tried this primer before and I liked it from what I can remember. An eye primer is useful, so there’s that.

MudMasky Blue Light Protection Mask $54

This is neat. This is a mask you leave on all day to protect you from the blue light that comes from electronics. I am in front of my lap top pretty much all day for classes, so this will be lovely.

Clarins Velvet Lip Perfector “Velvet Nude 01” $26

I have heard some pretty good things about this product, and the shade is pretty. However, I am unsure if Clarins is CF, so I will have to do abit of research before I use it.

Butter London Teddy Boy Eyeshadow Palette $28

This is a small cool toned eye palette. I usually don’t lean towards cool tones, but it will be nice to actually have a palette with that option.

Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer “Pearl” $29

I selected this shade, and it was too dark for me. Which is sad, because it is one of my favorite concealers. I actually have the correct shade in right now! This shade will match my mom, so I hope she likes it!

I am pretty happy with this box. I am sad that I am so bad at shade matching though. I thought the concealer would be light enough. Oh well! My box came to a total of $157.

100% Pure Creamy Long Last Liner “Dark Cacao” $26

I already own this eyeliner, and it is by far my favorite liner. It’s long wearing and very pigmented. I’m so happy so have another!

BoxyCharm Premium | August 2020

BoxyCharm Premium is $35 a month. You receive 5-6 full sized beauty products.

Sunday Riley A+ Retinoid Serum $85

I’m going to be honest. I have no idea what this stuff is supposed to do. I am going to do some research before using it. It is fun to get such an expensive skincare product though.

Dermelect XL Lash Volumizer $49

Lash serums never work for me, but my mom loves them. This will be going to her.

Fenty 150 Portable Contour and Concealer Brush $24

This is going to be great to just toss in my bag. I think I am going to use it to touch up around my nose and under my eyes through out the day.

Milk Long Wear Gel Eyeliner “Biz” $22

I think this is the first time I’ve gotten a liner that isn’t black! It’s a navy blue. I actually really like blue eye looks, so this will come in handy.

Ciaté London The Editor Palette $32

The color story of this palette is really pretty. There are some beautiful jewel tones. I will be doing a separate post on this palette, so keep your eye out for that!

MAC Lipstick “Dubonnet “ $17.99

The dark red shade of this lipstick is beautiful. However, MAC is not cruelty free, so I will be passing this along.

That is it for my Boxy Premium. It isn’t the best one yet, but it isn’t horrible either. My box came to a total of $229.99. Not a bad value!

Kinder Beauty Box retails for $25 a month. It contains all cruelty free and vegan products. You get 5-6 items, two of which will be full-size.

Glov Makeup Remover $12.99

This is so useful! I have been obsessed with my makeup eraser as of late, and I’m glad to have another similar product. It’s very soft and fits nicely on the hand for better control. Not only does it remove makeup, but it is supposed to help leave your skin balanced and soft.

Dirty Lamb Ultra Night Serum $52

Great timing! I am on the last few uses of my current night serum. This serum contains a high antioxidant blend of fatty acids to really hydrate skin through the night. It also has a hint of lavender, ylang-ylang, and orange. It smells great! I also love the little lamb on the bottle.

100% Pure Bright Eyes Mask $7

These are a caffeinated eye mask to brighten and de-puff. I have tried these before and really enjoy them.

Fleur & Bee Eyes Eyes Baby Anti-Aging Eye Cream $22

This eye cream contains botanicals, vitamins, and moisturizing ingredients to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This is a really nice sized jar for $22. It’s going to last ages!

Medusa’s Makeup Eye Dust “Penny Wise” $8

This pigment is a really pretty metallic copper. I have other eye dusts from Medusa’s makeup and they are all wonderful and really pack a punch. If you haven’t check out Medusa’s Makeup, I highly recommend you do.

BONUS ITEM Folly Fire Lipstick “Full House”

I used a coupon code I found, which I believe was MSA, and got a mystery bonus item. Unfortunately, it is a lipstick I already own. However, it is a beautiful color and formula and I know one of my sisters will love it!

Over all thoughts?

I am so happy with my first box! I am blown away! I have replaced my VeganCuts subscription with this one, and I am very happy with that decision! For $25 I got a total of $101.99 worth of products. That’s fantastic!

Aria Travel Kit | PR Review

I love to travel. It’s my biggest passion. And when I had to opportunity to test out a travel set full of organic products, needless to say; I was very excited.

The Aria Travel Kit is currently on sale for $59.99! And for a limited time, when you make a purchase, you receive a free bamboo tooth brush.

But we aren’t discussing the bonus gift today, we are here for what is actually in the travel kit.

Everything is contained in the super cute bag in my first picture.

To start, you get two disposable masks, which will definitely come in handy. I have a bad habit of forgetting my mask, so these may end up being a life saver.

You also get a very soft and silky eye mask. This will definitely come in handy on long road trips- I can’t sleep on planes to save my life.

There is also a super cute notebook and pen included, which isn’t something I tend to use while traveling, but I will be throwing these in my backpack for college.

Included is a hand, face and body lotion. I have the bergamot and citrus scent, which is right up my alley. It sinks in quickly and leaves the skin feeling very soft and moisturized.

Next we have a lip balm in grapefruit. I do tend to forget lip balm, so I was glad to see this included. It feels very nice on the lips.

Also included is a solid perfume. I have the Oregon Rain Naturals in the scent Portland rose. The scent is beautiful, and is surprisingly long lasting.

There is also a deodorant included, I have the Whole Body Goods Citrus deodorant. I have yet to try this product out, but I will update you all on its effective ness.

You can also purchase all the items separately on their website.

Included is also a suede drawstring bag with some emergency essentials.

  • 2 packets of Emergen-c. As someone who is immuneocomprimised Emergency-c is absolutely a travel essential.
  • Two sets of ear plugs. Again, perfect for long road trips!
  • 2 Q-tips. I always forget these, so this is a great addition.
  • 1 hair tie. Who can’t use an extra hair tie while traveling? I seem to never have enough!

This is a wonderful idea! The products all seem great and everything is very well thought out. I might have included a travel size face wash. Possibly a travel sized shampoo and conditioner.

This is something you could easily create on your own. It does have a rather steep price tag, but if you want a curated all in one kit, I do think this is a great option,

*I do not know if scents vary.

Honest Beauty Everything Cream Foundation | Review and Wear Test!

Welcome to the next leg of my foundation journey! Today, we are going to talk about The Honest Beauty Everything Cream Foundation $21.99

When I was younger, I solely used the Avon cream foundation compact, and I did enjoy it. So I figured, why not try a more natural version!

Information straight from the Honest Beauty Site:

Our Everything Foundation Cream really is everything a girl could ask for in a foundation (and ask we did). It’s creamy demi-matte formula means the only shine you’re seeing is the lit-from-within, winning personality kind and its flexible medium-to-full coverage goes on smooth every time. Infused with jojoba oil that acts a whole lot like your skin already, it doesn’t just offer buildable coverage and a seamless finish but also helps keep your skin’s natural moisture barrier in balance

Ingredients:

“Jojoba Oil: rich in fatty acids and chemically similar to human sebum, helps to balance skin’s moisture barrier

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Mica, Castor Isostearate Beeswax Succinate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Silica, Lauroyl Lysine, Glyceryl Behenate, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Tocopherol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Glycerin, Water (Aqua), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499). May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).”

I know for some people silica and mica, possibly, aren’t preferred Ingredients, for hard core green beauty enthusiasts, but for me, I am not too concerned about them.

I am in the lightest shade, Snow, and I have to say, this is the best shade for my skin tone. It’s fair with warm undertones. My perfect summer shade.

Application process:

I started by priming with the Honest Beauty Everything Matte Primer $21.99 which is a primer I already love. It really helps to create a matte base, which I think really increases the longevity of this Demi matte foundation.

Here is the foundation after initial application. Definitely a medium- buildable to full cover age foundation. I have the shade Snow.

One swipe

Next is displaying to coverage with a second layer.

Definitely buildable!

Application process

I layed this foundation down with a flat foundation brush from Luxie in my T-Zone and anywhere I needed more coverage and blended from there with a beauty blender. I used two layers and was very happy with the coverage.

Here we are 6 hours later. I have to say, I am happy with the wear! There is the typical T-Zone wear, but nothing got cakey and my blemishes stayed covered very well. I did originally set it with a loose translucent powder, but did not touch it up through out the day.

For a $21.99 price tag, I am very impressed with this foundation. This has been the best foundation I have tried in ages! It last well, and and doesn’t make the skin look TOO dewy, even after 6 hours!

As of right now, I will 200% repurchase this foundation once I go through it. It’s great for light wear in the summer, and a more heavy coverage for when we don’t have to worry about makeup melting off your face.

I highly recommend trying this one out for yourself. It’s cruelty free, versatile, and wears very well!

My Day Time Skin Care Routine | Summer 2020

I have a combination skin type. Oily in the Tzone, dry everywhere else. My skin is pretty acneic. I think I have found a great summer, morning skincare routine for me, and I wanted to share it with you!

Pacifica Coconut Water Micellar Cleansing Tonic

Every morning I start by using a face halo and a Micellar water. I know I should really wash my face, but I’m lazy in that department. What can I say? It cleanses well and leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

ELF Keep Your Balance Toner

This isn’t my favorite toner, due to the scent. It reminds me of tequila. But! It does help balance out my skin, and has improved my acne, thanks to the witch hazel.

Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion

This moisturizer is meant for acne prone skin, and it is so helpful! I have just started using this and I have already seen an improvement in my acne. It sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling.

Kypris Antioxidant Dew

This serum is fantastic! It has vitamin C that helps brighten the skin and even out skin tone. It also includes algae, that has antioxidant properties, which is also very helpful to the skin- especially for acne.

Murad Renewing Eye Cream

I am 24, and it’s never too early to start trying to tackle those fine lines and wrinkles. But for now, I find that this eye cream is great for dark circles and puffiness. However, it has a strong scent of alcohol, so that is not one I will not be purchasing again.

Blissoma Photonic Light Shifting Solution SPF 25

This is my favorite facial SPF. It is more of a skin tone, so there is no white cast. It also has antioxidants and vitamins that are great for the skin.
