Ipsy Ultimate | November 2019

On this fine Saturday, I bring y’all a late Ipsy Ultimate Unboxing for the month of November!

Is it worth $50?

Let’s find out!

The Bag

This month we got a large travel makeup bag. I think this bag is very cute and will definitely be using it. It is roomy and well made. Perfect for the trip I have coming up next week!

Soo AE Panda Eye Brightening Masks

This is a mask I have tried before. I did enjoy it, and the cuteness adds a nice touch to your pamper session. However, you can get them at Walmart 2/$5. Not exactly something I want in my $50 box. But, I’m not disappointed about having them again.

Beau Gachis Concealer Brush

This is a nice, basic concealer brush. You could also use it to pack shadows on your lid. It seems to be made well and none of the hairs were shedding. This isn’t my preferred way to blend or apply concealer, but I have been enjoying it for eyeshadows.

It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser

This is a cleanser I have been wanting to try, so I was happy to see it included. Hopefully, their “skin-transforming” claim holds up! I could definitely use some skin transformation during these cold months.

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum

I know this serum is, or is almost the price of the box. This isn’t a product I will be using for myself. However, I was able to gift my mom nice skin care- and she is loving this serum! That’s worth it enough for me.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk

I will never be mad about receiving dry shampoo, lord knows I need it. I have already used this one. It works well, doesn’t make my scalp itch, and doesn’t have an over whelming scent.

Youth to People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream

I haven’t had to chance to try much from Youth to the People. This little sample may be a good way to dip my toes in the water.

Smith and Cult Nail Polish “Bite your Kiss”

This polish is a really pretty, dark, wine red color. This is usually my nail polish color of choice, so that worked out well!

Context Matte Lipstick “Sweet Emotion”

This is a brand I have never heard of. It’s fun to get to try a new to me brand.

The shade is a really pretty burnt red shade. I think it is perfect for this time of year. The formula isn’t too drying, and there is no scent that I can detect.

Billion Dollar Brows Best Seller Kit

This is really neat. In this get we got a brow highlighting pencil, a brow pencil, a brow brush, and a brow gel.

I have really been enjoying using these brow products. The shade matches well, and the gel has great hold!

Benefit Cosmetics High Beam

Fun fact, I have never tried High Beam before. Benefit has never been a brand I was super into. They aren’t cruelty free, so I never felt to inclined to try either.

The shade is a light pink. It didn’t really highlight my face like other liquid highlights do, which I think is intended. I have a feeling my little sister would love this, so I am going to pass it on to her. Again, I’m glad I will at least be able to give someone else the product, makes it not a total dud for me.

Gi Gi Gorgeous The only Blush Duo “Authentic and Pride”

I am so excited about this! I love GiGi!! I am guessing she has come out with her own line, and now I want everything! This blush does say it is cruelty free and vegan.

You get a more peachy shade that is matte, and a pinky shade with some glitter. I don’t go for pinks much, but when both shades are mixed, it shows up stunning on the cheeks!

Wander Beauty Wandress Rush Palette

We have a six pan palette from Wander beauty, subscription services favorite brand. There are 4 cream metallics, and two shimmers. I have gotten a palette from them in this formula and layout, just different shades, but I can’t find it. Anywhere.

I think this is a great little palette for the Holidays! The creams are beautiful and don’t crease on my lids. The two shades that look matte in the pictures, aren’t. Which is unfortunate. However, I was able to make them work. I can see myself reaching for the shades Blitz and Avenue a lot.

Full face of the products

Here is a hideous picture of me. Fun fact, I was broken up with, over the phone, after two years, While I had this makeup on. The shadows lasted through a few tears. Good going Wander Beauty.

Over all thoughts?

I liked this box! I got a lot I’ll use and love, but I was also able to give my mom something she is really enjoying, and I will get to give my little sister a clue classic piece of makeup.

I think Ipsy Ultimate will be sticking around for a while.

What was in your Ipsy, of any level, this month?

BoxyCharm Unboxing | November 2019!

Welcome!

Today, we are going to look inside the, now, $25 a month basic BoxyCharm subscription. Specifically the November 2019 “Stellar” box.

Each month you will still receive 5 full sized, sometimes super deluxe sample sized beauty products. It appears that the over all value of the box is going to be high, but we will see if it is worth the price increase.

I did want to mention that I will not be purchasing the $35 a month BoxyCharm subscription. I already get BoxyLuxe, as well as Ipsy Ultimate and other boxes, so I just couldn’t justify it at this time.

Now, to what you are actually here for. The products!

Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation sample packets.

I wanted to include this little addition, because it is neat. BC sent out sample cards so you could find your best shade match. This is so you can relay the findings to them, and they can send out the correct complexion products. I am excited about the possible new additions to the box.

Tula Skincare Star Power Nourishing and Brightening Cosmic Hydrogel Mask, set of 2. $22

These masks contain an acne gel with 2% salicylic acid. I do suffer from break outs, and I will be testing out these masks and reporting back to you all once I have a chance to try them.

Kypris Antioxidant Dew Quench and Glow Serum $90

I am very excited to see a product from Kypris. I have heard amazing things about this clean, and expensive beauty brand. This product is in collaboration with BC and has made a great addition to my skin care routine. It has really helped my cold dry skin not look as flaky and dry. It also serves well under makeup as a primer.

BoxyCharm 2 Piece Brush set $35

Here we have a foundation brush and a large oval brush, that they say is good for powders, creams, and minerals. The brushes are very soft and do their job well. I would not pay $35 for them, but I wouldn’t do that for just two brushes from any brand. I do enjoy the brushes and will continue to use them.

Dose of Colors Liquid Lip “New Mood” $18

The DOC liquid lip formula is one of my favorites. I am surprised that I didn’t already own this shade, because it is beautiful!

Nude mood is a peachy nude and wears very comfortably on the lips. Per the DOC usual!

Dominique Cosmetics Celestial Thunder Eyeshadow Palette (Mini Version) $35

Dominique Cosmetics recently came out with the Celestial Thunder palette. This is a smaller version of said palette, but just happens to have the shades that caught my eye.

Here are the shades swatched. I will not say much about the palette now, as I have an in depth Subscription Box Win or Whomp post coming up about it, which will include a different look than the one in this post!

I also wanted to include the sales that boxy included this month, Incase any of you were interested!

Over all thoughts and the products on my face!

Please disregard the bumps on my face. I am currently having an allergic reaction all over me. We tried a new detergent. My body did not like it. AT ALL.

over all, I am super happy with this boxy! The Kypris serum alone made the $25 price tag more than worth it!

My box came to a flat total of $200. I have to say. I see the price increase in my items. I mean come on, an amazing $90 skin care item was included! And it’s from a beautiful brand!

What was in your BoxyCharm this month? Would you like to see more reviews of any of these items?

The Tribe By Juvia’s | Two Looks One Palette

If you are looking for a fun and affordable palette, that is of out standing quality, Juvia’s Place is the brand you want to look at.

The Tribe palette is a warm palette with a green and deep teal twist. The color story is like nothing else I have in my collection.

For $20 you get 9 shadows. 5 buttery mattes and 4 intense metallic shades. Purchase here!

  • Maasai: A matte muted lime green.
  • Promo: A matte burnt orange.
  • Tutsi: A matte green.
  • Koro: A champagne metallic with a green shift.
  • Chaga: A metallic copper.
  • Kuba: A metallic almost navy blue.
  • Ashanti: A matte brown, that pulls more neutral.
  • Kurla: A metallic burnt orange.
  • San: A matte deep teal. I know there is another name for this type of color, but my mind is not processing it.

Look #1

  • I started off by buffing Tutsi into my crease and a bit more on to my lid.
  • I did the same step with Oromo, but allowed it to blow out a bit more towards my brow bone.
  • I then placed San on my outer V and blended it a bit into my crease for some definition.
  • I then placed Kurla all over my lid. I really wanted to see how it would layer with San.

  • I used a pencil brush and lined my lower lash line with San.
  • I buffed it out with Tutsi.
  • I popped Koro in my inner corner.

Look #2

  • I started with blending Masai into my crease, and up towards my brow bone.
  • I then placed Tutsi all over my lid and blended it into my crease a bit.
  • Using the NYX glitter glue I popped Koro on to the center of my lid.

  • I used a pencil brush to line my lower lash line with Tutsi.
  • I used a fluffier brush to buff that out with Maasai.
  • I popped Koro in my inner corner.

This is a palette I already know I love. I could do a ton of different looks with this palette, but wanted to show you all two examples of what this beautiful palette can create.

Which look is your favorite? Mine is number two!

Doki Doki Crate | November 2019

I was surprised to see this box on my porch when I arrived home from work, as I have actually cancelled this subscription to go back to a different one.

But, for one last run, here is my November Doki Doki Crate unboxing. Will I miss it? Or course I will. But, I felt it in my soul that I needed to go back to the Glamour Ghoul box. So I switched out this one, for that one.

Any how, let’s get into the box!

It appears that this months theme is Snow Bunnies, which ends up being super fitting.

Rabbit Chopsticks

These are some very cute well made chop sticks. They will be going to sushi with me, which is on most weekends, from now on. I am really bad at using chop sticks. Other wise I could use them more often.

Rabbit and Carrot Pencil

This is just a cute little mechanical pencil. I can’t decide if I want to keep it for myself or give it it my little sister. It is very cute though.

Petanto Rabbit Plush

Such a cute fluffy little bunny, that I thought was a bear. She has taken a spot among my other plushies.

Sailor Moon Accessories Case

I have this case storing all the perfume samples I have accumulated. The case is made of a pink acrylic plastic and very sturdy.

Bunny Rilakkuma Mug

This mug is precious! I have been using it for my morning coffee. It is smaller than a traditional mug. But, it is doing its job. I may end up using this to store some type of makeup brushes or pencils.

Over all thoughts?

This box was very cute and very to theme. I will miss Doki Doki Crate, but I just don’t benefit from it currently.

What did you think of this months crate?
