Petit Vour Box | January 2020

We are now back to our regularly scheduled unboxings!

Today I bring you the contents of my January 2020 Petit Vour box. Petit Vour delivers 4 cruelty free, vegan, and green beauty products monthly for, I believe around $15, maybe $19.

Fit Glow Beauty Good Lash + Mascara $38

This is my first time trying a product from fit glow, and I’m pretty excited. I have heard some pretty good things about the Good Lash + Mascara.

“A multitasking mascara that amplifies lash length and volume! Plant protein and botanical extracts nourish lashes and promote growth, helping lash grow thicker, denser and fuller.”

… that sounds exactly like what I need!

MOA The Green Fairy Hand & Lip Balm $18

It’s winter here. The weather is freezing ( sometimes). There is currently a pretty big snow storm raging out side my window. At this point, my horribly chapped lips cannot get enough lip balm. I am hoping this one has a bit more of an affect than the ones I have been using.

“This non greasy formula includes castor oil, Shea and cocoa butter. And candelilla wax to moisturize and nourish skin, leaving it silky smooth with a hint of peppermint.”

Aether Beauty Single Shadow “Amethyst” $16

I have really been wanting to try the aether beauty shadow formula. I want the palettes, but they are a bit pricy. This is a great chance to treat out the formula.

“Enhance your natural beauty with the power of crystals. Pigments of topaz, amethyst, and other crystal illuminate the eyes, whole coconut oil and shea butter create a buttery texture for one swipe application.”

Andalou Naturals Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk $3

I am always happy to try a new cleaners, especially when I’m not too worried about it irritating my skin.

“Vegan Probiotics gently remove makeup and impurities, rinsing away dull surface cells and balancing skin. Apricot and borage oil rejuvenate dehydrated skin for a fresh, glowy complexion.”

I have to say, I think this is the best PV box I have ever gotten!

A few skincare empties | If you were waiting for updates- here are a few!

Look! Surprisingly it isn’t an unboxing!

Here I have a few reviews of skincare products I have either gotten in sub boxes, and one from PR. So, if skincare is what you are vibing with, sit back relax and enjoy!

Alba Botanicals Acnedote Face and Body Scrub

This is a product from Vegan Cuts. I have actually used this product off and on for years prior and have always enjoyed it. I do get acne on my chest and shoulders and this scrub does a great job at clearing it up- without being packed full of harsh chemicals.

RP? Once I finish a few of the scrubs I currently have, I will absolutely be repurchasing. Acnedote is amazing. My brother tried it and liked it. Even my step mom has used it in the past.

Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask

This is another product from Vegan Cuts, a subscription that I truly miss and will probably resubscribe to again soon.

If I remember correctly this mask is rather pricey. I had heard amazing things! Unfortunately, it didn’t do much for me. It was nice for a spa night. But, I never noticed it doing anything for my skin.

RP? No, I have other masks I enjoy much more.

Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk

If I remember correctly, I received this in a Petit Vour box.

This product did its job at removing makeup, but it never left my skin feeling clean.

RP? No, this is rather pricey for the full size and I did not like it anywhere near enough to justify the price.

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum

This is another product from a Petit Vour box.

I love this stuff. It worked so well to clear up my acne, without aggravating my skin. I highly, highly recommend trying it out if you have acne prone skin!

RP? A million times yet! I haven’t repurchased it yet, and my skin really misses it.

Bio Clarity Cleanse

I received this product in PR.

I did enjoy this cleanser. It was gentle and did its job really well.

RP? No. I have others that are more easily accessible at say Ulta, rather than having to go online to order this. However, if that doesn’t bother you at all, I say give it a try! It is a nice cleanser.

That is it my my little empties and updates post!

What is something you have recently used up that you fell in love with?

BoxyCharm | January 2020

I, of course, have another unboxing for you today!

This time it is BoxyCharm! Fair warning, I lost my little card, so I have none of the pricing information.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask

The first product is a popular one. This is my first time trying this mask. First impression time! It feels nice on the skin, no irritation, but the artificial watermelon scent is a bit overwhelming. We got a nice 1oz deluxe sample size. In substantial glass packaging.

Petite ‘n Pretty Fully Feathered Mascara

One of my favorite things to try is mascara. I love reviving ones I have never tired, especially from brands unknown to me. The packaging is cute, and the wand itself reminds me a lot of the TF Better than Sex wand. However, I have heard in people refer to it as a “child’s makeup item” in Facebook groups I am in. I will give it a go myself and let you all know!

Pretty Vulgar Under Cover Concealer “Little White Lies”

This is the first foundation or concealing product that I have gotten since BC sent out the testers to acquire everyone’s shade. It’s a perfect match! The concealer is long wearing on my skin and does a great job at concealing blemishes.

Wander Beauty Trip for Two Blush and Bronzer Duo

Clearly, this is more of a blush and highlight duo, but it’s still pretty!

The shades work great for my light skin tone. I have been reaching for it constantly since getting it in my BC. It gives my cheeks a glowy wind bitten look.

Ace Beaute Scarlet Dusk Palette

I am very excited about this palette. I really enjoy the AB formula.

Here are swatches of a few of the shades. I will be creating an in depth post for this palette!

That was my BC for this month. I am very happy with it. A great selection!

Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate | January 2020

Sorry for skipping my Ipsy post last month. It was a great box! I just haven’t had much motivation to post lately. Hopefully that is starting to change.

Glam bag ultimate is $50 a month. There are a lot of mixed opinions on this box, but I actually really like it, and use a ton of the stuff I get. It is pretty skincare heavy, but I love being able to gift the nicer items that I am not going to use to friends and family.

This months theme is clean slate, which is rather fitting. There is literally no info on the card this month. Just a spot to write what your aspirations are for the year. Mine is “This year I will, treat myself with the same care and respect that I do others.” Having body dismorphia makes that difficult- but I am determined to heal!

Per usual, we are starting off with the bag. They nailed it this month. It is marble, pink and rose gold. It’s cute and the perfect size for an over night trip. It’s very sturdy and well made. I know I will be using the hell out of it!

The next items are two sheet masks from Avette. Not really sure what they are meant to target, so I will have to do a bit a research. I do love getting sheet masks in my boxes though.

Next I have toner pads from Essenherb. These game at the perfect time. I am almost out of my current toner. Hopefully these work well with my skin, it has been crazy sensitive lately.

Next we’ve got a kale and vitamin C serum from Sweet Chef. This is a product I will be passing on to my mom. She is in need of a new serum, and I have so many.

Here we have the Take the Drama Away honey and copper peel off mask. It is meant to exfoliate to lift away impurities. Which, lord knows I need my impurities lifted right now. So far 2020 has been a bad year for my skin. I have never used a mask with copper, so I am intrigued.

Of course, we have a nail polish. This is the Pretty Woman Polish in I’m So Jelly. I may pass this along, I have so many polishes in this shade… but it is my favorite shade of polish- she may just stay with me in my stash.

I am hyped about this one. It is the full size of the super hyped up Thrive Causemetics mascara. I have tried a sample and LOVED it. I am really thankful that I got this mascara, especially right now. I have been trying out the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara, and I am not really vining with it like I thought I would.

For me, this is a super exciting product to get. The It Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I love pillow sprays and this one I have tried and did enjoy. It just smells so nice!

Here with have a moisturizer from Ahava. Apparently this product is an ipsy exclusive. It is meant for normal to dry skin. I am going to give it a shot and see if it is helpful at all. I have had some success with their hydrating mask.

Here we have the best FARAH brush I have gotten thus far. It’s well made and super soft. This is a 160F Face Brush. I am going to be using it for cream blush, bronzers and maybe even highlights. It is the perfect size and density. I really like that it matches the bag with rose gold, pink and marble.

Here we just have a basic black pencil liner from Sugar. Usually this wouldn’t be too great. But I have been using the crap out of black liners lately, so I am totally fine with getting such a basic, run of the mill product.

Next, we have the Flesh Highlighting Balm in StarLite. The shade is beautiful and really packs a punch. I will be using this a ton. Before I saw the shade I figured I would pass it on to my sister. But, no. This is mine!

Our last product is the Alternative Rock Vol. 2 palette from The Balm. This palette is super neutral, and has shadows blush, bronzer, and a highlight.

This is for sure going to be my new travel palette. It’s easy to work with, and neutral. I am planning on doing a whole review of this palette, so I wanted to keep my opinion short for now.

That is it for my Glam Bag Ultimate this month! I am very happy with it, and do think it is worth the price! I have yet to actually be disappointed by this box.

Glamour Ghouls Unboxing | Beatle Juice Theme

I am finally back on the Glamour Ghouls train! And I am very excited about it.

For around $35 a month you get 5-6 themed indie products. Any makeup is cruelty free!

I love this box because it morphs two of my most favorite things in the world, movies and creepy things- and makeup.

The first thing in the box was this small notebook and pen. I will be tossing both of these into my bag to write down reminders and such. The paper in the notebook is graph paper, so I may even turn it into a small bullet journal.

The next thing is this awesome Beetle Juice pin from Creep Cake’s play house. I love pins. I put them on my bags and leather jacket. This one will eventually find a home on one of them! It’s very well made and nicely sized.

The next thing is a perfume oil. It is from Dante’s Inferno Room. I believe the scent is called fire and funery. This perfume oil isn’t my type. To be honest, it smells just like fire ball, and it makes my stomach hurt. I am going to try to find someone to pass this along too- but it is pretty strong.

Our first makeup item in the box is a neon pigment from Rebel Rouge Labs. It is in the shade Bioexorcist. It is a beautiful neon green. I’m excited to see all the looks that I am able to create with this pigment!

Our last item in this box is a lipstick from Medusa’s Makeup. I do really enjoy their bullet lipstick formula. The shade is Lydia, and it is a nice lavender purple. Basing looks and outfits around this lipstick is going to be so fun!

That is it for this months glamour ghouls box! I love everything. This box is so fun, I highly recommend checking it out!
