Allure Beauty Box February 2019

On a whim, I signed up for the Allure beauty box. It is $15 a month. Is it worth it? Let’s find out!

Wander Beauty Mile High Club Mascara $26

I have tried one other mascara from Wander that I liked. The little blurb that the allure beauty assistant wrote makes this mascara sound really promising.

Model Co Eyeshadow Trio “Mykonos” $15

I think this is the first product I have gotten from Model Co. The shadows are pretty, but nothing new to my collection. I am probably going to give this to a friend.

Moda Metallics Triad Eye Brush $4.99

I am always up for eye brushes in subscription services! I do like Moda brushes, they are soft, sturdy, and affordable.

Momonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser $21

I have been obsessed with K-beauty lately. I am excited to try any and all of it. You guys will see a review of this in a empties post soon!

Mamonde Flower Lab Essence Mask $7

I got the variation in Hibiscus.

If you read my blog then you know that I really enjoy Sheet Masks. They are cleaner and much more convenient than typical face masks.

The Brow Gal Instatint Brow Gel $22

I actually already own this product and I love it. In fact, the one I am currently using is almost empty, this came at the perfect time!

Mally High Shine Liquid Lip “Starburst” $21

I wish I would have gotten one of the other product options, but I am willing to give this a try. The shade is pretty, but the product seems sticky. I guess we will have to try it and find out if it works out for me.

As of right now, I am not sure if the box is worth the price to me. I am going to have to try it for another month and give you a concise opinion. Out of the 7 products, only two I won’t use. There was also a Mally shadow stick in a pretty dark bronze shade that wasn’t in the pamphlet, which is neat.

Have you ever tried Allure Beauty Box? What are your thoughts?

Ipsy February 2019

Guess what $10 subscription service finally got it together and included an insert with the products? Ipsy!!! Still no prices though.

This months bag is pretty cute and it seems really well made. It would make a fantastic makeup bag for your purse or backpack.

What’s inside?

Marc Anthony Strengthening Grow Long Anti-breakage Mask

My hair is the worst, so I am always appreciative to get a hair mask. This one smells really good. Keep a look out for it in an empties post!

Huda Beauty Lip Contour “Gossip Girl”

This more than covers the price of the bag, so the four other items are just a bonus! This lip contour feels really creamy and is a shade that will go with a lot of the lip colors that I own. Sweet!

Kokie Cosmetics Be Bright Illuminating Concealer in Light

I have wanted to try the Komi brand for a while now, and a concealer seems like a nice place to start. I am sure I will include this in an upcoming review. I have been putting all the products that I want to review together.

Meech and Mia pressed shadow “Caramel”

This presses shadow is a basic shimmery gold that I have 1244827 of. I may pass this on, but I want to try it first. It seems like it is really nice quality. I do enjoy Meech and Mia moose shadows after all.

Hanalei Lip Treatment “Peach Pink”

Just what I needed, another lip treatment. I have dry lips, believe me, but I have so many treatments now. At least I will never have to purchase one again. Neither will anyone else I know. I will give this one a try though, it seems nice.

Overall, I am really happy with my Ipsy this month. $10 very well spent.

ColourPop Ooh La La | Review and Swatches

Tonight, I bring you another Colourpop review, I recently made a big order, so expect more to come.

I love how affordable Colourpop is, and they are cruelty free. The fact that they come out with such colorful palettes makes me happy.

The Ooh La La Palette has a pink theme, perfect for the month of February. Pink by far is not my favorite color, but I found myself drawn to this palette.

The packaging is hot pink and made of a hard sturdy plastic. There is a mirror inside, perfect if you feel the need to travel with a pink eyeshadow palette.

Ooh La La is $12 and you can get it on the ColourPop site Here!

The Swatches

Tickled: A very light pink with a purple a blue flip to the glitter.

Soft Core: Matte warm pink

Poodle: Matte true pink

Big Sugar: Shimmer bubble gum pink with a silver sheen.

Opulent: Bright fuchsia shimmer with a blue sheen.

Sandbar: Matte bright pink

Trove: Matte raspberry

Caddy: Matte deep purple

Moon Struck: Metallic peachy gold.

The Look

* please ignore the mascara on my lid, I didn’t notice it until I took the pictures.

  • I primed my eyes, did not set it.
  • I used a big fluffy brush and applied Soft Core to my crease area.
  • I used the same brush and repeated the same step with Poodle.
  • I took a pointed crease brush and applied Sandbar to the outer part on my lid and the blended it in to the crease
  • I took a smaller pointed crease brush and applied Trove to my outer V.
  • I applied Opulent to the outer two thirds of my lid.
  • I applied Big Sugar to the remainder of my lid.
    • I lined my water and tight lines with a pink liner.
I used a liner brush and applied a mixture of Trove and Caddy to my lower lash line.
I blended it out with a mixture of Soft Core and Poodle.
I popped Moon Struck in my inner corner and topped it with Tickled.
  • Over all thoughts

The shadows do not swatch the best, but what is important is the application. The shades apply like a dream and blend out beautifully.

If you really enjoy pink, I would say this is a wonderfully palette to add to your collection. It is also a great palette if you usually wear neutrals and want to add a pop of color to your looks.

For only $12, the Ooh La La Palette is a great, inexpensive piece to pick up!

Boxy Charm February 2019 | UnBoxing

    Happy Hallmark card holiday everyone!

To celebrate this day that prompts spending, we are going to unboxing something I probably shouldn’t spend the money on every month.

    Boxy Charm.

Boxy is $21 a month and includes 5 full sized or deluxe sample sized beauty items.

Let’s open her up shall we?

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara $24

This is a Mascara I know I enjoy, so I am glad to receive it. Already paid for the box plus a few $ and I don’t have to purchase a Mascara when mine runs out.

Pretty Vulgar Bronzed B. Bronzer “Sun kissed Snitch” $32

I have a strange bronzer obsession, I will never turn one down. The formula on this bronzer feels super creamy. I hope it is light enough for me though.

Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer $18

This is actually one of my favorite primers! I use it almost daily to fill my pores on my t zone. Now I have a back up! It fills well, doesn’t ball up, doesn’t have a sent, and looks nice on its own as well as under makeup.

Sol De Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream $20

The cream smells like those buttered popcorn jelly beans. I really don’t like the sent. PASS.

Positive note, it feels great on the skin. I am sure I have a friend that will love it

Nude Stix Magnetic Luminous Eye Color “Copper Foil” $24

I am not the biggest fan of shadow crayons, but I am willing to give this one a go. It seems creamy and like it will blend well.

That is it for my Boxy Charm. It isn’t the worst, but also isn’t the best that I have gotten.

What was in your Boxy Charm?

ILuvSarahii x Colourpop Collection | Review and Swatches

I have to say. I love Colorpop. Their formulas, packaging- everything!

To be honest, I haven’t watched much of ILuvSarahii, but the collaborations I have seen her put out just speak to me.

I bought the bundle on Colourpops website for $39, it is currently on sale for $31.20!

You can also purchase all of the products separately.

Through My Eyes 16 pan eye palette $23 currently on sale for $18.40

First and foremost, the packaging is really cute, and totally my aesthetic. It is they typical sturdy cardboard packaging.

There are a variety of shades. You can get a ton of looks out of this palette. Neutral, blue looks, red looks. It has everything you need in a palette, in my opinion anyway. I have traveled with it and it was perfect.

    Row one:

    • Lúcido: A champagne metallic.
    • Wild Soul: A matte mustard
    • Mesmer-eyez: A metallic Gold
    • Sandalwood: A light matte brown

    Row two

    • In a wink: A matte cream
    • Euphoric: A matte red orange
    • Canela: A warm brown with some glitter
    • Lomo: A shimmery red

    Row Three

    • Emerald Dream: A metallic emerald
    • Muze: A metallic Copper
    • Divina: A deep matte purple
    • Flecks: A cool brown metallic

    Row Four

    • Nostalgia: A matte dusty rose pan, it when used pulls orange, no idea how it manages this.
    • Moody: A matte teal
    • Nocturne: A metallic Cranberry
    • Misbehave: A matte cranberry

The shades are all pigmented and buttery, true to the Colourpop formula.

I did want to show a comparison to the little ILuvSarahii x Dose of Colors palette. I think that they work great in conjugation. The Colourpop one really looks like a larger version. If you were thinking of getting the Dose of Colors palette, I would recommend skipping it for the Colourpop one. It has more options, works just as well, and is less pricey.

Lip Bundle #3 $16 on sale for $12.80 you can also get them individually for $5.20

This is ILuvSarahii’s third lip bundle with Colourpop. (I may pick up the other two.)

It contains two Ultra Matte Lips and one Ultra glossy lip.

    • Sueño De Coco: A matte light brown.
    • Glass Lip: A neutral glittery gloss
    • Dulcet: A matte orange red

I think Sueño De Coco is my new favorite liquid lip. The CP matte liquid lip formula is great. It is long lasting and inexpensive!

    The look

    • To prime my eyes I used the original Urban Decay primer potion. I set it with In a Wink.
    • I used a fluffy brush used Sandal Wood as a transition. I just placed it all over.
    • I used a bit smaller of a brush and used Wild Soul to add warmth to the look.
    • I then used a pointed crease brush and placed Euphoric on my outer corner and into my outer crease.
    • I then put some glitter primer on my lid and and put Emerald Dream all over my lid.
    • Lastly I popped Lúcido on my inner corner

    • I lined my lower lash line with Moody
    • I blended it out with Sandal Wood and Wild Soul.

For my lips I used Sueño De Coco and layered Glass Lip over it.

    Over all:

I love this collection! I can’t stop using it. If the colors speak to you like they did me, I would pick it up while it is on sale. You will not be disappointed!

What is your favorite ColourPop palette?

    Kawaii Box Unboxing!

Contrary to popular belief, by the people who know me to any extent, I actually love cute kawaii things.

I decided to give this box another try, and maybe try some others. In DBT they teach us to create positive experiences (daily) and I thought giving in to my girly side and getting a surprises box of cute a month would be a great positive experience.

    What’s in the February box?

    Heart Shaped Fantasy Key Chain

This key chain is precious, it’ll make a nice addition to my key ring. The little bottles remind me of pixie dust!

    Sanrio Characters Melamine Plate

New beauty sponge holder! This is going to look great on my vanity! It is made of a really hard sturdy plastic.

    Special Mystery Kawaii Surprise

Its a little flash light! I am actually going to pass this on to my friends daughter. It’s practical, but I have a weird abundance of flashlights.

    Fluffy San Rio Character Socks

I got my melody socks!!! They are Adorable and are the perfect thickness for this cold gross weather. I have strangely small feet, so these will actually fit me.

    Heart Princess Jewelry Box

Bobby pins and piercings are going in here. Another precious addition to my vanity.

    Kawaii Neko Travel tag Case

I am going to place this on my suit case. I could even use it for my bag for work. I love the little sleepy kitty on it.

    Sprinkle Heart Squishy Charm

I love using squishys like stress balls. However, the sprinkles fall off this one. I may throw it on my key ring or connect it to something else. I don’t want to ruin it.

    Pastel Candy Mechanical Pencil

I am a dummy and didn’t get a picture of this before I accidentally broke the candy charm off it. But it is a yellow pastel mechanical pencil. Throwing this in my pencil bag.

    Dreamland Pastel Stickers

These are so cute! I am going to use them on my planner and on letters that I send my best friend, who sadly lives four hours away.

This box is precious and I am so excited to have all these cute items!

What Kawaii subscription boxes should I try?

    January 2019 Empties

January ended up being a hell of a month for me. I turned 23, had a week long hospital stay, and finally got a full diagnostic evaluation done.

Now that it is a new month, and I am going through some major changes, it is time to do this empties post and throw all this trash away.

    Sheet Masks

The Crème Oh Deer! Detoxifying Lemon Sheet Mask

This mask was a gift, and I did enjoy it. I had a great makeup day the day after use. My skin was softer and brighter than normal. If I saw it I would pick it up.

Jeju:en You can’t handle this sheet

This mask came to me in Ipsy last month. It was neat, there was flames on the check area. The name is hilarious as well. However, I didn’t notice it do anything.

Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mask

This is my favorite Sheet Mask. Will always repurchase.

    Biobelle #Beautysecret

This mask was great, made my skin very soft and moisturized. Which is a lovely perk to have in the harsh winter months.

C’est Moi Gentle Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes

I was sent these wipes to try out and i really like them! One wipe removed a full face of makeup, they are loaded with product to remove the makeup. They didn’t irritate my eyes either and most wipes do. I believe Target is beginning to sell this brand, I will be picking more up.

    Veíse Hydrating Face Wash

I was also sent this product to try. I works great, my face was more clear than it has been in ages thanks to this wash. It is also a very clean product. However, I just cannot handle the apple cider vinegar smell. If smells don’t bother you, I recommend it.

Fortune Cookie Soap You’re the One That I Want Microdermabrasion Scrub

I loves this scrub. It made my skin feel great! I am probably going to purchase another if they have it on the FCS site.

Peter Thomas Roth 24 K Gold Mask

This mask was cool to use because it was gold, but I did not notice it do anything. I wouldn’t spend the money for the full size.

MAC Prep and Prime Skin Base

I got this sample in Ipsy. I really enjoyed it, made my base makeup look great. I would purchase the full size if MAC was cruelty Free.

FCS Sugar Rush Solid Sugar Scrub

Solid sugar scrubs are my new favorite thing. It’s so much easier to use and less of a mess than traditional body scrubs. This one smelled like candy! I will repurchase another solid scrub from FCS.

    Farmacy Eye Dew Sample

The cream is really thick and made my under eyes feel very moisturized. I have another sample to go through, after that I may pick up the full size.

It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara mini

I love this mascara, it is my current holy grail. I have already purchased the full size.

That is is for this months empties!
