Years ago this primer was the only one I used. It was inexpensive and easy to get a hold of. As I grew, my makeup collection did as well, introducing me to other primers. Then Influenster sent me a box of ELF products to review, and this primer was one of the goodies.
This primer retails for $6. The one I have is in clear, but they also offer the shades green, lavender, and “radiant glow”. The bottle does have a pump, which is fantastic, but there really isn’t much product in the bottle.
This product does contain silica (it is towards the bottom of the ingredient list). This means that it is a super smooth feeling primer. I personally no longer prefer this type of primer. I always have the feeling that it makes my makeup slide around, even though this has never happened.
Over all:
Is this my die hard, first choice primer? No. Do I like it? Heck yeah! It leaves my skin feeling fantastic, even after I take it off. I really do not see my face makeup lasting any longer when I wear it, but my foundation, concealer, and powder do not cling to any dry patches. I would rather it not feel like silicon, because the thought of my makeup sliding around stresses me out. For only $6 though, I can deal with it. I say this is a GEM!
*I recieved this product for review, but all thoughts are my own and honest.*
